8 pages full of stupid botters that are trying to explain how wonderful and important their real life is, so they do care about game forum to explain the others why they're cheating. don't make me laugh

9 pages of people who cannot even have a propper discussion back and forth. Botting or cheating in general is not the problem, it's just a symptom of the state D3 is in. Cheating, unless done for profitting, by leaderboards (who are an illusion of competition btw) or to cause harm will not affect you or destroy your game experience. Cheating in D3 can be seen as using a mod, a mod which is not allowed, but that will not affect you.

If you read what most of the "defenders" here state, they are not trying to justify or talk their way out of the situation, they merely try to give a picture of who an why botting excists. If you fail to even aknowlege that there are different types of people who does actions based on different reasons and situations, then you have nothing to contribute to in this discussion.

    Zt1mQ - grow up.

Jokerfiend, please read the replies from bagstone and Thaya (as you did). I do respect you for having a different opinion than me, and most likely a lot of the community agrees with you, but please take in consideration what they have written (in a more formal and better way than what I am capable of).

I say this, not as an insult to you or other, but come on, take it easy. It's just a game. We like it, therfor we cheat (D3Helper guilty here). And even so, I and other "cheaters" have contributed in form of communities and groups, and tried our best to be welcomming to other people. Ultimately it's the community that keeps the game alive, sadly the D3 community is having a hard time these days with too much elitismn and hostility towards people.

Can't we just play and have it fun? Why is it so bad that you have to go to such extremes as making parallells to a WW?

I work, I workout, I read, everyday. I have a wife and 2 kids. You choose to be a service member. My father was a Master Sgt in the Air Force. While I don't know what it's like to serve, I do know what it's like to live with it. How much I had to sacrifice while a father had to move around every 2-3. Friends, Family, Stability. I had none of that shit as a child. Anyone that mentions service in anything beyond when asked, is asking for curried favor. You want your service to be an excuse, otherwise why mention it? Literally has no bearing on the situation at hand. Diablo 3 is a time sink. You don't want to invest into a time sink. Don't fucking play the game. Simple as that. If you have to cheat to get by, then this game isn't for you. Just move on.
Your logic of cheating could be literally used for any walk of life, in any situation. It's like saying I steal because I work hard, but don't make enough. Yet, I am sure if someone broke into your house, you wouldn't let that shit go because they have it hard. Having it hard isn't an excuse. And you damn well know it.
D3 faults aren't a reason to cheat. It's another excuse. You cheat because you want too. And you cheat because it's easy. Nothing else, nothing more. If you didn't care, you wouldn't post about it. You posted to rub in peoples faces. I don't buy it. And I'm not going to let you have it either.

You need to take a chill-pill mate. And doing parallells to stealing and such is not a valid comparison. It does not affect you (other than the illusion of competition), so why going ballistic now?

And it's fun you saying that having it hard is no excuse, I could say: Having it hard gives you no excuse to act like an asshole towards others.

He is not tryint to make up excuses, he simply explains his point of veiw and why he have chosen what he did.

At least it's better than you people who cannot even have a fruitable discussion about the matter.

If this game had been anything like a competative game, or massive online game I would get it - it would affected you if people cheated. But Diablo 3 is game with some very, VERY simple multiplayer elements. Basically it is a singleplayer game with a simple leaderboard. Still you people who has not experienced real world problems like work, family, responsibilities and who take the game way too serious than what it's meant to, come here and spew hatefull messages to and about people who ultimately does not affect you. If anything it tells more about you than these botters who bot for the fun of it / to enjoy the game for their own means.

D3 community, or rather Diablofans is one of the worst communities I have ever withnessed. There is so much hate, envy, arrogance and betterknowing here. Seldom is there a good discussions where points of veiws from different camps are enlightened. Usually it is the "moral keepers" who sits on their high horse and pass judgement upon the "filth" of the community for destroying their sacred multi...singleplayer experience.

I wish leaderboards where never introduced, then the community - specially this one might had been a nicer place where we could have nice discussions.

you are just another cheater, aren't you?
real life problems, you've said, lol I know a lot of people with their own families and hard work, that can afford them to play 4-5 hours in the end of the day, and thats all. It's fair, that if you have a lot of real life, you can't beat some nerds that play 8+ hours a day. And it's unfair when stupid botter can overpass the fair player just because he can afford not to farm nefalems, bounties, ubers and even 70-80 caldessans are done by script. I'm the part of fair community, and hate such duplicities hypocrites like you

Oh here we go again, let's find the pinjatha and beat 'em cheaters shall we? If your friends have time to play 4-5 hours each day, they clearly are not the usergroup I meant. I meant those that at best can affort maybe 2-3 hours (at most) the whole week. And again, why care what other does? There is no competition in this game, it's just an illusion. Leaderboards are an illusion of competition. Stop worrying so much about that and focus on having fun in the game.

As for me, yes I am a cheater. I used D3Helper to keep the Taeguk stacks up for my WD (basically spamming Firebats ever 2850 MS). If that gets me banned - then fine. I enjoyed the game, alltho I dislikes that need to push a button to keep up a certain buff.
I am not defending cheaters, as I'm clearly - one myself, I am just explaining why I can understand people using Bots and other utilities to ease their gameplay. I do not care for leaderboards even tho I have no troubles clearing 80+ with and without the help of D3Helper.

For the love of god - stop caring so much about your own ego and leaderboards, try to enjoy the game you are playing. If not - find something else to play, like a massive online game or other competative game since that seems to be in your alley.

Haha, well the loop is still going strong - ban, new bots comes along - ban. Will allways be like that ^_^ Good they catched some of it tho.

But I am a bit surprised to see you people here write about "salty tears" and "miserable" bot users. After a good amount of reading on the biggest bot forum it seems like people are shrugging their shoulders about it. If anything you people seem to be the most salty (not today tho) :P

Please let me have the paragon levels to hunt for, if not there is nothing that keeps me playing. Sure, the ladder is fun, but only to see how high I can get on GR, not what place on the leaderboards I get. As stated in other topic, even with insane paragon levels, the difference would not be greater than 3-5 (MAX) GR levels if you have the same gear and player. At some point you will have all the gear in the world, but still could not get any further due to lack of paragon levels. Paragon levels are fun and ticks my power-creep / progression feeling, and I feel that I can allways get further or get some more damage / defence by playing a little more. And it's also more fun than farming hundreds of hours for an item that never drops. Remember how it was to try getting WoH back in earlier stage of game? That was not fun, please do not let that type of gameplay return!

Play because you want to, and stop worrying about what everyone else does. If it was a massive online game I could understand it, but basically it's a singleplayer game with some leaderboard functionality. I rather wish the devs to focus on creating new and fun stuff to the game, than using all their time and rescources catching guys I could't care less about - since it ultimately does not affect me.

posted a message on [2.4.1] New Dmg / XP numbers and what they mean for Season 6

It is. Why you people allways complains that paragonlevels cannot be used as progression? If it were up to you guys we would not have paragon points. You know what? It would take 1 month to get all gear and hit the brick wall, and then there would be absolutely no point playing.
At least para points gives some progression, and to be frank, the paragon power is not THAT great. If it was like 20 levels difference of high-low para, sure, but it's like... what 3-5? It's nothing! Jeezes, let me enjoy playing and hunt those para levels. It's more fun than farming months for that one item that never drops.

Because it's Blizz. You give them money - they buys a strap on - then foks you.

Moral of story, they do what they like. I'm really anoyed by this too, but it's allways been like that with them.

posted a message on Quin's Itemization Rant

Eh...what?... Been playing WoW since the first day until recent times, and I can tell you that there is no diversity when it comes to builds and items. Sure, you have some very mediocre crap settings you can use before you get the tier sets, but after that there is close to no choices anymore. One build will allways be clearly stronger than the rest for each class (I give druids credits for diversity tho), and when it comes to items.. don't get me started. The items in WoW are interesting? Uhm ok..? The legendary cloak.. was that fun? The ring.. was that fun? No, those were items which gave little back. Other than that there might be some other unmentioned social items, but that does not serve any use.

Items in D3 is by far more interesting than WoW, so the situation is no way near as bad as you claim it to be. The only bad thing about D3 is it's community, which is filled with people thinking they are game experts and who does not see the double-moral here when they want diversity and still uses the "BIS" items instead of focusing on having fun.

If you want someone to blame for the troubles of D3, blame yourself(es).

Fking amen brother! I agree with you so much. Instead of going apeshit people should try doing something else for a while and play when new things comes. The developers even stated that D3 is a game you play for a while, then takes a break and later return - it's not meant to be played 24/7.

The numbers are not problem, but the total calculation is the problem. For a computer 1 or 100000 does not make a change, it's the total amount of calculations that totally mess up everything ;/
