The idea of chests being a more integral aspect of the item system in Diablo 3 makes for a novel experience, indeed. To bring in a comment, I was reading an earlier interview and one of the designers stated that a major drop would drop pieces of equipment for each class in the party. My question is, will the chests themselves drop equipment for each class of the party?

Another reason they may not be randomizing the outside environments is that the environments themselves may be very large in size, so you may get lost even if it is static. If they live up to making us explore Sanctuary and fill in the mini-map for each game, then I would definitely get lost the first time around even if it is static.

All we can do is speculate until we have the game on our hard drives, so everything everyone says is not a critique of the actual game. Just remember that when you are reading these forum posts. If you don't like Diablo 3, then don't play it.

It would be really cool if we saw some sort of mailing system in Diablo 3. It would make transactions with other players a lot easier, and you wouldn't have to wait until they log on to trade with them. It works very well in World of Warcraft, why not take a page out of your own book, Blizzard?
Also, isn't it time that an official clan system be setup for Diablo III? The current one for Diablo II is non-existant, and I am sure a lot of people would appreciate it if there was a clan channel to communicate better with other members. Maybe something like the friend system, but make it seperate and throw in some extra options like clan rank.
If you ever have a reason to bring other old characters back to Diablo III, please bring the archer back!!!
