Yeah, some pc gamers may feel like their pride is being attacked, but I know PS3s can play computer games, I've seen a Youtube video of someone playing D2 with a Wii, and I'm sure you can get stuff to work on the xBox as well.

I agree with you there... a lot of complaints would probably be thrown about if the games were to be thrown onto consoles.

XBox 360 is compatible with PC games, you just have to do the illegal and mod your hard drive. I have someone that plays a few PC only FPS games.

*sigh*... I read what you wrote and I commented back. You told me that I didn't say anything that I wrote in that quote, yet I did before.

All D3 assets are designed to be viewed from a set angle. The 'other side' of the objects that you cannot see either does not exist or is not textured. They would have to remake all assets from scratch, put more detail in since the view has shifted much closer, and give up the randomization (the fact that you can see things from one angle only being the reason - didn't you ever wonder how steps in a wall can only be facing northeast or northwest in D2?)

When anyone creates a console game, they always have to start from scratch.

They can still change the name of Amazons to something more neuter like Rogues (Diablo I Amazons). It's not hard to change a name.

As I have said before Septar, please read what I write before commenting. I know what I have said. Also, there's another that says there can be male Amazons, so harp on him then too.

Well they can't turn it into a FPS so....

For some reason, first person's all that came out. I meant the perspective that, lets say, Gears of War has. I think that's 3rd person, can't really recall.

I have only one of my pictures on me due to the constant reformatting of my computer.

    http://img84.imageshack.us/my.php?im...383886lnj8.jpg

This picture's done in all pen, no pencil was used at all. The left hand was free-hand only because the image that I was going off of was extremely dark and only in black and white.

I'm not much of a free-hand kinda of guy but once I upload some of those onto my comp, I'll post them here. My free-hand is more of humans, not so much creatures.

Please feel free to give any type of comment or any post of disgust. :D

In the gameplay video the narrator says "Diablo 3 is so simple in fact, That it can be played with just the mouse"... When he said this I instantly thought of a controller... An average mouse has 2 buttons and a scroll bar... An Xbox 360 controller has 18 buttons (Including the Gamepad directions and Joy stick clickers) And two joysticks... Now if Diablo 3 can be played with just a mouse... Then cant Diablo 3 be played with just a controller? (Of course I prefer Keyboard and mouse). To close, I think that it is definitely POSSIBLE. But is it really worth it?

I'd expect that if they threw it onto the console, they'd have to turn it into more of a first person game. I couldn't see you controlling the arrow with the joystick, since that would just be annoying. To see Diablo III as a first person game would actually be worth playing... from what I think.

Yeah, if you look at me... you're all rich. I have a broken 360, haha. Hopefully getting it fixed just so I can play Ninja Gaiden II. I love RPG games, shooting games. Anything but racing.

Yeha i know what you mean. In D2 getting to level 99 means absolutely nothing. Once your like 75 you can obtain the best gear. Ive never got a character to 90 yet all my 75-80s own any lvl 90+ because of my gear

Getting to level 99 is just an achievement that some people wish to accomplish. Some people do it just so they can show that they wasted that much of their time or some people did it to be rank 1 on the ladders...

And yeah, gears all that's important. Yet I kind of hope that they change that in Diablo 3, to where there is gear for the higher levels instead of just a cut-off level.

They wouldn't be Amazons then, they'd be rogues.

Please read what I say before you comment, I said change the name and keep the skills or change them a bit. Still capable of using javelins and certain bows. If the names changed, they can still be the same class as before, but with a different name...

    Quote from "nomaddjs" »
I don't like this "time penalty" bullshit when you die... softcore is for noobs - take some gold off them and that will do...
the only real penalty is if you die and lose everything - hardcore-style

anyway good thing the mercs will be making a comeback as "followers" hope they are not as mighty powerful as chars (because they look already waaaaaaaaay over the top) good thing would be not allow mercs use UNIQUE items - that would be quite interesting

It's not a time penalty... they said that it's penalty enough to run back to where you were at. Softcore is for people that enjoy dueling with the same character. Hardcore is just for people that love the challenge of trying not to die, I'd have to say Hardcore is full of little babies because whenever I was about to win against someone in a duel, they'd run and hide in town. Whenever I play in softcore, people duke it out until the end.

As for the Mercenaries, they never are as powerful as characters unless they're extremely geared. Uniques should be able to be equipped on anything as they could in real life.

there was significantly more content in that post then you refer to.

if that is all you can see in my posts you are not worth my time.

    don't bother looking for expansions.

expansions are in fact a money making scheme.

in LOD the Dark Wanderer was slain if what i heard was correct.

the hero of Diablo was slain so that an expansion pack could be made.

to kill Baal. which nobody cared about in the first place.

i never played the expansion for several reasons.

start a thread, 'why i didn't buy the expansion' and i might have something to say about that.

    -------------
    expansion example illustrated.

i buy a car. i must now buy a second engine just to run the car after three months of ownership. after that i must then buy a new fuel tank if i want the car to run with the new engine.

    ---------------

i expect my products to standalone. if the car needs an 'expansion upgrade' i make a new model car and get all the upgrades done correctly.

this is how it will work in the future.

if it doesn't the game industry will kill itself from the complexity of compatible expansion packs, sequential expansion packs, standalone expansion packs, paid membership expansion packs and so on.

    --------

and Skovos better not be an expansion pack.

You need to understand this, you sound a bit arrogant here...

Expansion packs are not just a money making scheme. They're there to add on to the story line to create a long story to keep players occupied and interested in playing. You cannot compare a video game expansion to a car unless you want to say "Example - I have a car and I like it a lot but it's starting to bore me a bit. I want to make the car faster and have a little more umph so I'll EXPAND the engine a bit with newer parts. That should keep me interested.

As for Magistrate, I consider Diablo an MMO because there are most likely going to be thousands, if not, millions of people playing. MMO game just means Massive Multiplayer Onine game.

    'Nuff said.
