Its gone because I deleted everything off the url. I'm over it, Blizzard has stated its stance, and while I don't agree with it, it is after all up to them. They had a great style and atmosphere in the previous games, and I don't see the logic in getting rid of it. While some of the things they have said are total crap (like the previous style "not working" in 3d, when really its just a personal preference of theirs to go for this "epic" look with immense unrealistically shaped and lit dungeons) I can also see why they made some of the choices they did. The petition has voiced the opinions of many, but in the end they are convinced the Warcraft style is better than the Diablo one and there really is no way to change that. I hope the game turns out well and at least some changes are made, mainly the armor, since that stupidly shaped stuff is pretty much the only thing that would actually put me off playing. I am also tired of the constant arguments and such, and those signatures are only fueling the fire now. They served their purpose to get people to sign, and no doubt they helped, but I'd say its time to move on!
Anyhow, I may be back after release, besides its probably better to try and move on and forget about D3 and hopefully be pleasantly surprised come release rather than hang around here spoiling parts of the game and being disappointed.
“I don’t know that we can convince people who don’t like the art direction that they’re ever going to like it,” he said. “In terms of tone, they will find the game as dark as any of the previous ones and in some ways darker. And I think that’s probably, hopefully, enough to satisfy them. I think the vast majority of our fans like the new art style and when they play it and they actually see the influence it has on gameplay, I think a lot of people who don’t like it will turn around. Not all of them, and that’s fine. We know that we can’t satisfy everybody.” - Jay Wilson(aka Ron Pardo's Fluffer)
