Im not positive, but in the video he was touching upon key-binds for the action bar and mouse.. But I don't think they will change movement mechanics, it's the way it's always been. If anything they would add it an option to use ARW/WASD.
I can also see the hype being a positive thing - not to come off as a Blizzard fanboy, but the company makes excellent games and wouldn't release a title if it wasn't prudent for them to do so.
i agree with that 100%, hype is slowly decaying but to still have some isn't a horrible thing at all. Otherwise the game wont be nearly as what you hoped it would be
yeah thats what im saying, if we had a more constant stream of information, i think most fans would be a little less angry and a little more willing to pay for online(if they do charge bnet 2.0)
it's hard to say how long they have been working on it, the started paused designers went to flagship for hell gate London, blizzard pressed the play button, hired as many of them back as possible, and started again.
solid idea. a vampire toon would be a good addition, instead of the same old fantasy characters. The combination of life stealing, melee, light spell casting would be pretty op, but it could be tuned down a notch.
for me the hype has been replaced by irritation at the lack of information that blizzard is releasing for the game.
I mean, our last update included an art work that was also turned into a wallpaper. and that picture of Leah btw was not new at all, I already had it from a screenshot I took from the cinematic trailer. seriously, it was at 1:49 of the cinematic.
exactly the only constant form of information we are getting is art. If it was game play screen shots it wouldn't be as bad... don't get me wrong a little lore doesn't hurt anyone. I would be very surprised by mid next week if we don't get some new character information. If we don't the hype is really going to go down.
Okay I honestly don't know for sure if this is right, but on Gamesradar.com/pc PC Gamer (Who will have Diablo 3 on the cover of their October issue I think) posted a preview of the Q&A with a developer. One key question I saw was as follows
PCG: The cynics have already said they look forward to playing Diablo III when it ships in 2011. Do you feel any pressure to prove them wrong?
You saw it, 2011 boys and girls. Take it for whatever you see it as. The rest of the article is interesting as well, give it a read.
EDIT: Also to sort of backup this "confirmed" date on the last issue of the PCG mag in the next month box they said "You knew it was coming, you just didn't know when, well, we know and we'll tell you, stick around."
It WASN'T that verbatum (sp?) but it was relatively close to something like that. So Diablo 3 in 2011 :(.
I cannot help but to think that the title is true. I mean i used to be as excited as the next person...I think that its going to be a pretty long wait late 09 at best, and yet where all talking about it like it's coming out at Christmas. To be this hyped up before the release date is even close to being finalized is just a tease to us all to be honest. I think a more constant stream of information on the game would help past the time.
