posted a message on Jeffrey Kaplan Moving to NEW unannounced MMO
The way i see it they have a title for just about everyone so far.

    Diablo 3
    Starcraft 2
    WoW

You might not like all of those but i guarantee that chances are you like one. So Blizzard basically has their basis covered by having something for everyone. Now what does Blizzard not have??? A simple FPS comes to mind but its unlikely they want to step into that territory and honestly i don't think they could succeed in that territory. Now here is an idea that i think is most likely. An MMORPG based on being a futuristic FPS. Something along the lines of Starwars/StarCraft but more Shooter based. If they can do it right and do it BIG an MMORPG were you need good FPS skill would be a huge thing for Blizzard. If they do this right i think they could get alot of NEW people to play their games and i think alot of people would be willing to pay for multiple of their games monthly aslong as they manage to do it right. With blizzard i have no doubt they would make the game fun.

I am pretty sure that the guy wasent saying that it will be released in 2011. The guy who did the interview made a crack at blizzard by bringing up the jokes people say cuz their games take ages to come out. That is all it was and nothing more. Diablo 3 will be out in 2 weeks without a mentioned release date. I heard it from a fat guy on you tube XD.

    And the Hype slowly dies....

WHat i took that as is that people are making fun of blizzard and saying things like "oh cool il play it in 2011" just to make a joke about how long they take. I could be wrong about this. I personally think blizzard will be stupid to release it in 2011. I can see massive hatemail coming in to them because of this lol.

posted a message on destroyable environment... wil it be a problem?
    Quote from "CrazyMasterT" »
Dont know if a thread like this already exists.... but

Do you think that with the destroyable/interactive environment will cause a problem for multiplayer?

i mean in the gameplay video we saw the barbarian knock down the wall and smash all the zombies... but what if in multiplayer there was a person that got hit by that wall too instead of just the zombies?

    would it hurt the player?

and how would this change the gameplay... because im sure lots of people will be smashing objects and things just for fun, but now that you can knock down walls onto enemies people might start to try knocking them on you for fun.... and if hundreds of objects are being destroyed at the same time, do you think it will cause a major fps hit?

im interested in hearing others opinions and questions....

No it will not be a problem. Blizzard is smart enough to worry about these problems for us and im 100% positive they found a solution to it.

"What i do reccomend though is 6 Acts norm,nm,hell and then add another 3 Acts for the next Expansion." You don't get the point, do you?

3 difficulties = shorter main game...

I definently do get the point. I do not believe that having norm,nm,hell shortend the game at all. I believe the acts were written way before the difficulty lvls. I also added 6 acts so that means its longer then the first D2 and then said add 3 more acts in the Expansion pack which makes it even more longer. I really dont understand how you concluded to "you just dont get it"

    posted a message on Economy??
    Quote from name="Elfen Lied" »
Gold currently is essentially useless. It serves no real purpose. Gambling for crappy items, fixing items and err buying potions. If gold is to be the currency, which it should be, but not necessarily the primary one, there needs to be much more on offer to spend you hard earned coinage on.

Which actually brings up another point about gold. It's too damn easy to find. some crappy item with 2 properties on it can sell for 15,000 gp. And worse you can kill something and have it drop a 22,000 gp pile on the ground. What the bloody Hell!?!

I am not against the use of items as currency. After all this is medieval (fantasy), bartering is not uncommon here. You have a sword, why shouldn't I be able to trade you an axe or a sword for it.

The problem is duping runes, and well duping in general. It basically replaces anything else as currency. Runes or small tablets as a form of currency, it fine for me, it's a form of money thus a currency, but when you have an influx of runes, due in part to duping, then become the only currency. Or really anything that is duped for that matter. Why should I bother Magic Finding and hunting around for items for hours when I can produce multiple copies of something much quicker and in greater quantities and trade for the items I want. Duping and counterfeiting is wrong, damn wrong!!!

I was perfectly fine with that though. Bartering for the items you want was much more fun then just going in chat typing "15k for whatever item" and right away someone messages you and it is sold. I played diablo 2 for over 3 years and i never had a problem with Gold being worthless.

    posted a message on Economy??
So i remember i little while back i remember reading a thread on what the economy is going to be like. Is it either going to be Player based or Gold Standard based. I personally think that its the People who should control the economy and decide what something is worth. I hate games like WoW where your item value is written in stone. I also hate the fact that every 5 lvls you switch weapons that are 5 levels higher (thats a whole different argument though). My whole point is i guess has blizzard said anything about the economy?? i remember i read once that they said they want gold to be worth more but does this mean it will be a gold standard?? i definently hope not.

    HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

Blizzard!!! dont you dare take out Norm,Nm,Hell

Part of the fun of Diablo was doing Low lvl boss runs and still getting the items you need. I know plenty of people including me Mf'd Andariel and Mephisto in Hell. If you remove Difficultys then il have no reason to revisit eariler boss stages and what not. It lowers the amount of runs your going to do x3. I dont agree with taking the difficulty setting out at all. What i do reccomend though is 6 Acts norm,nm,hell and then add another 3 Acts for the next Expansion.

Im pretty sure its water. If you keep following the water down you can see it reaching the floor which if that was also a pillar it wouldnt have a glare of it because the town would be in the way.
