posted a message on Best Barb Build - We have been trolled ...big time lol

I can say i tried SS build with F+R rings.

    To keep things shorts:

With Physical setup, and using ancients for fury regen, using seasmic slam - rumble.

All ancient IK gear without TT gloves with furnance, fury was managable but crits never went higher than 300mil per hit, ussually arround 250mil.

Which is simply not enaugh. Also you have to keep your distance from mobs and let your ancients do the tanking, survivability is mediocre at best.

WIth fire setup, same gear, but replacing SS for Hota with fire with GoJ weapon for fury regen, build works nicely, but again, without mortics and with only 100% damage boost from 6p IK, damage is loughable at best.

WIth TT gloves, physical gear and IK weapon, seasmic slam rumble (since i belive this is the best rune for it), seasmis slam become a bit more spammable but i dont own an ancient IK weapon, so crits were only 150mil-200mil range.

Suffice to say that you deff need at least mortics bracers for this kind of build to work.

My passives were weapon master, ruthless and rampage while using nerves of steal as a defensive passive.

The only bright thing about this builds is that they do proc mirinae gem quite often which managed to crit/hit mobs for arround 500-1b range. But not often enaugh to make it worthvile.

I hope this helps and gl!

posted a message on I see no barbs in group play, should I worry ?

    Well...i will correct myself here.

I just did gr53 with monk with new set in party.

Seems to me that now only barbs are left out of high grifts compleatly.

And WDs and crussaders are still only viable as pure supports clases.

When they "fix" the support role classes (which shouldn't be in this game at first place), then the groups will be more variable. Until that happens it is even hard to put a finger on the problem of why barb cant compete in groups.

Partly it's no single target damage imho and other party is survivability to some extent.

Crussader has the same problem. Equip rolands set and go find a group for gr50+....

    Same goes for monk...

    and also a WD

Well at least they managed to fix wizzard, so i am looking forward to foture now, eventhou i dont play one.

Hota will be imposible like that, unleas you just go lightning to get 50% damage reduction from beserker.

Yea, nice writeup. I agree that wastes set needs some sort of permanent fury regen build into the set to open up some option.

posted a message on IK still the best?

I dont want to wait for what...6 months again so that they might finally make barb playable in groups, this is just ridicolus.

I am playing 0dps sader over my fully geared barb, simply because i have to.

It is stupid that we are forced to play the way blizzards wants us to play and not use our own builds!

Even if we use what they expect us to use, we cannot play in groups after G40+, because we get kicked out simply because we are very inneficient at it.

We are glas canons that do shitty dps on top compared to other glas canons.

posted a message on IK 6pc Set - Guaranteed Nerf coming - How much is enough?

They need to find a "sweet spot", which not as easy as just to sum up % of damage and say, hey if you can do gr60 like this, we will do 300% damage isntead of 500% and you will do gr50 with that, which we are ok with.

Monster HP scale with 17% above the previous grift level not 17% of monsters base HP value. WHich means that if you do something like lover the damage on barb multiplier to 100% from 500%, you may end up in doing grift 35 instead of 50( which i belive is somewhat targeted area they want to accomplish.

So when you assume that every 7 levels thats 3x the health of monster, that only applies to certain grift levels, for example from GR 40 - 47 but wont be true anymore from lets say lv50-57 because growth gets exponential like: 100 + 17% = 117, but 117+17% = 136,89 ( and not 134 as you assumed).

And for semi-offtopic, i liked the "old" 2.2 IK bonus better, since we would finally have a potential that wouldn't be dependant on CDR, since perma beserker and new pants or bracers whatever they decide to make...i know it is less damage than what it is now but it is so fun imho to be able to make almost any build worthvile since perma beserker could possibly make it viable. :)

posted a message on IK 6pc Set - Guaranteed Nerf coming - How much is enough?
    Quote from Heledarยป

For people saying that the nerf to 100% is too low: you would be able to clear GR 54-55 with that.

    For the math:

    Damage with IK atm = 600% (100% + 500%)

    Damage with IK (considering 6pc is 100% bonus) = 200% (100% + 100%)

    Effective nerf = 600/200 = 3 times less damage

Now monster health goes 17% higher at every grift level. Meaning that a difference of 7 levels makes for a difference of nearly 3 times the health

So if barbs can clear GR61 on PTR, they'd be able to clear GR61-7 = GR54 with a 100% IK 6pc

By the way no IK 6pc would probably be able to clear 49 or higher.

Having "only" a 100% would keep barbs in a good position while retaining the build diversity the barb has atm. It would even make the barb the best class in solo with wiz.

So people, stop crying about 6pc being as "low" as 100%, it still is pretty good (even though all runes perma wotb + perma ancient is already very good for a 4pc).

    Your math is flawed.
