posted a message on MTV - ‘Diablo III’ Designer Describes How Game Will Appeal To ‘Diablo’ Fans And Broad
Okay the concept is not bad for the idea in general on health globes. But the name "health globes" has to go. The visual "floating red orb" has to go. Better name and a better visual to go with the name please I beg you. It is so... how can I describe it. Its like eating pizza at a bad middle school or high school, it tastes like cardboard. That's how I feel about the Name and visual aspect of these red floating health globes... only way I can describe it. It's just so... cookie cutter?

As for the concept in general it sounds better than spamming pots and promotes team gameplay. They said that the orbs will heal everyone in your party so that promotes team gameplay so people can stick together instead of running off all over the place in confused mayhem. Not only that but it brings challenging PvE gameplay to the mix. they have. The entire idea behind this is its just a big promotion for team gameplay and thats a big  for me. But as i've said in blue writing at the top, what they have now just doesn't do it for me. Cardboard cookie cutter... yea, that just aint my slice of pie.

Ah, not really, no- I mean completely erase Vista (shit) and get XP on it. That's what I did, lol.

maybe i'll make a partition with 40 gigs and install XP to play d2 .. that will be my last desperate option though lol

    Downgrade back to XP ;)

You tried reinstalling it, I presume?

Reinstalled that shit 20 times, made no difference. When you say downgrade back, do you mean reinstall an old OS or is there an option in vista for that?

posted a message on Diablo 2 and windows vista. Cant get this to work..
I just bought the diablo battlechest today to get back into diablo because of diablo 3 coming out in the future and I want to get back into the old games. However I've run into a big problem.

Diablo 2//LoD does not seem to want to work with my windows vista ultimate 32bit version. It just does not even start. I keep getting a Error 22: A critical error has occured while initializing DirectDraw. I've tried installing the latest patch off of their site and then seeing if that helped, it didnt. I tried going into properties and running it as an administrator, that did not work. Tried using the options:

    Run in 256 colors
    Run in 640x480 screen resoltion
    Disable visual themes.
    Disable desktop composition
Disable display scaling on high DPI settings

Tried them all individually, combo's, all together... same error. Updated my video card which is a ASUS EAH3870. Everytime I do a video test with the game it tells me I cant run it. Which is really strange because I installed diablo 1 and tried that and it worked LOL. I mean I can play UT3 and crysis on high settings with my setup and its fine, and if diablo 1 works I dont see why diablo 2 cant either. Warcraft 3 works fine also.

Dont know what the issue here is. Can someone please give me any tips on what I can do to get this thing working while I wait for blizzard to send me an e-mail with more information? I would really appreciate it.

Like i said before, where is the link stating that specific information? not only do you edit your post to completely change around what i said, but your quoting my post that i deleted because you changed your post first that i quoted, which had no point. Clever, ass hat, but clever.

I must implore you to reconsider this remark, for I feel the undeniable need to disagree henceforth.

"Here’s what a Blizzard representative told Multiplayer via e-mail:
Regarding Brian, he recently resigned to form a startup technology company (outside the game industry), which is why we’ve posted about the open position. This change won’t impact the game…we’re really pleased with the look and feel that Brian helped create for Diablo III, and the new person we bring onboard will work with the other artists on the team to maintain the art style moving forward."

If you dont have a link saying that, then its fubar.

Well if your going to disagree, make a point about it instead of wasting space.

Do you understand that Rifles and regulare pistols old school pirate style (whatever the hell you want to call it) is right around the dang corner from cannons O_o.

I am really glad I dont have to look at this junk anymore in the other forum or i might go insane with how dull some of you are. Yeah.. Officially i'm done posting in this thread. If I make one more post here in this thread, you can officially flame me any way you like. goodbye.

I think there should be a large limit but allow the creator of the game to set the amount cap from large to small to appease the loners that like to play with two people.

I like that, since everyone gets what they want i guess. No problems there.

posted a message on Guns in Diablo 3? Maybe?
And do you really think that a high end unique gun in diablo 3 that drops is still going to look or be anything like a regulare shitty hand cannon? Take world of warcraft for expample. The guns are simple blunderbuss's. That move up to freakishly high powered strange looking rifles with automatic features. World of warcraft is not the best example, but it is an example none the less. Do you really think if they bring hand cannons into the diablo universe there will not be rifles or any other high powered end game things, how would that logically make sense if there was NONE of that for higher end gun drops for gun classed gear?

Off topic a bit ... since you insist on realistically comparing diablo to the real world. If so, why would you even need the main heroes in the story with the above statements stated. Just arm a bunch of militia and there you go.

Do I want anything like that, or anything that could become like that in diablo. No. I would not even touch the game when it is released. Make no mistake about that.

I agree Elfen, 4-6 is where it's at.

It was more fun adventuring with two of your friends rather than Baaling with 8 people.

how does that make it fun for the people that want to pvp?
