posted a message on Tristram page updated! :D
It makes me wonder why the guys at Blizzard bother to update the site with minor animation touch ups to those location pages. Hmm, maybe it's a hint to something else.

I'm guessing they're probably going to change the Cathedral page next

Do you know what kind of machines they were using to run the game and what kind of graphic settings the demo was set on?

    Holy cow...

How many tickets exactly did Bilzzard actually make? If it was in the tens of thousands and it sold out in 15mins...whooo damnnn.

Now this just makes me sad, I just went to check ebay and there are 4 tickets being sold for $2,000 altogether. That is just so wrong...

posted a message on Diablo 3 on G4TV
I agree with Adam on what he said near the start of the video. Diablo III is the property of Blizzard and we all know Blizzard makes great games. I highly doubt they're trying to commit financial suicide when they decided with the look of Diablo III. It is their creation they can do whatever they want with it. Blizzard also said they're trying to reach a wider range of gamers/audiences with this new Diablo III so even if a couple thousand will never play a Bilzzard game ever again there will most likely be millions of new customers to replace the lost.

I never played Diablo I but I played Diablo II and I loved it for it's gameplay, although I never did enjoy the look/colors of Diablo II but the gameplay overshadows that.

posted a message on Size DOES matter
Meh, society since has grown accustom to normal human heroes taking on giant beings like Titans, Cyclops or dragons for a long time in movies or mythologies of old. We just natural think in awe when we see a small band of heroes using their wits and strength to tackle down a gigantic being.

I personally don't mind big bosses as along as they look cool and are fun to face of with.

posted a message on Please, Blizzard, let there be a monthly fee.
I doubt making the game pay to play will really stun the amount of children from playing the game because they're going to find ways to get their hands on some money one way or the other. If the money does go into new content, items and month updates then I will pay a monthly fee.

posted a message on Players joining increases difficulty?
I think Blizzard will stick to that formula on increase monster difficulty as X amount of players join the game, however I would like to see something a bit different.

In the game Neverwinter Nights, the monster classes and difficulty rose up depending on how many ppl you have in the game and what levels they were. To illustrate what I mean, take for example a dungeon with undead such as zombies and skeletons. If you were the only player and you were low level then it would just be simple lowly zombies and skeletons. Now if some players started to join the game, the dungeon will start spawning monsters festering/plague zombies and skeleton captains/gladiators mixed in with the lowly class monsters that buffed up just a tiny bit. IMO, it makes the experience different every time to keep it interesting but still difficult. Instead of just making the lowly zombie a super zombie and etc. Of course it mean that Blizzard will need to make more models for different monsters so I'm not sure if they're willing to do that at this point.

posted a message on anyone annoyed with the little floating numbers?
Yep, I also think that Blizzard will give you an option to turn those numbers off. It probably won't be available when the game is first release but probably later on as a patch.

posted a message on Diablo Series: A Video Comparison.
Maybe but just maybe they'll give you a choice in the options menu to let you choose the classic colors or the new colors. Wishful thinking....yea.

I like playing Diablo2 and I like playing WOW. I like how Diablo3 looks so far with it's colors. I think it's a nice change. Who knows, maybe when they make the next sequel they'll revert back to the dark colors.

posted a message on Does anyone feel the game going to disappoint?
The Blizzard games I really enjoyed playing was Diablo 2 and WOW. It's been like what? Eight years since the release of Diablo 2 and four years since WOW. I like to think that during those years Blizzard has gain the experience and firm grasp on how to make a good fun game. I played Diablo 2 three years straight and two years for WoW. I really liked both these games and it seems like Diablo 3 takeing some good aspects from both D2 and WOW. At this point, I don't think D3 will be a utter crappy game but I think it will be a decent one.

posted a message on Flagship Studios Closing
I'm not surprised really. I have Hellgate:London and if I had to make a reason why it wasn't very fun, I would say it was probably the repetitive and randoms maps plus badly presented story. The combat wasn't very fun either, the AI was either just stand there and shooting you or charging you like a idiot. Story was not presented in-game very well. I felt like I was going from one quest to another without really understanding where the plot was going. It pretty much sums up as it didn't do a great job immersing a player into the world.

The only thing I really like was the how armors looked. The Guardian and Blademaster armor's looked really cool and so did the high level Marksman ones.

    Nanolee

The Gem in Diablo II... what does it do?
The simple answer is nothing! We put it in to screw with you. It does all sorts of crazy things like sending useless data to and from the server, coming back with messages like "perfect gem activation" and so on. We were just screwing with you.

That's right the developers own you!

    Quote from "Timaah" »
I pose this question to those who say D2 was mainly a coop game.

If D2 was meant to be a coop game.. then how come to whole game.. all the way through baal on hell diff... was soloable?
I take it was Blizzards first try to turn the Diablo game into mainly a co-op game and since it was their first they probably want to test it out but still let it be solo-able to broaden sales and reviews.
