About the monk, I believe that the kind of skills he has are cool, but the whole thing that he represents just doesnt fit with the mood of the game, like the samurai some people have tought about, i believe that the concept of heaven and hell is a very western concept, and throwing in oriental themes and concepts is kind'a weird.. although, in its weirdness it could be fun, i grant you that
I know most of the things i want are already posted but:
- The Quests!! I know that they're making BIG changes to the quest system and im thrilled... anyways I loved if the quests were more like baldurs gate, in which they involved you more in the world, subquests, get to know more the character background and stuff like that..
- I want to fight LOADS AND LOADS of monsters, i want to feel like im in a real battlefield , kinda act V in D2 were you have to rescue the barbs and you find some in the way, that was awesome!
- The Soundtrack!! it has to be epic! its a big part of the feeling of inmersion in the game
- The mercenaries should stay but in bigger numbers!
- Lots of scripted events , something like you are trapped in a room and if you're a rogue or somethning you have to defend yourself and have to lay traps and things like that ...
- BIG POPULATED CITIES!
- a dog like in fable 2 (because its all about love) hahaha joking!
Anyway, i know that some of the things i like are not possible, but hey its not bad to dream haha
i think that the lore thingy is cool! but i think it should be in the rogue or amazon type (ranged) like in baldurs gate 2, the ranger could learn an ability called "enemy something" (dont remember well) in which the ranger especialized and had bonus in killing those types of monsters, i chose vampires hoho, it sure'll be cool to see that in diablo, besides i love all kind of physical chars, and i would hate it if the paladin was made a spellcaster...

im a major fan of world war 2 so im always reading something about it, but aside that im reading Jose Ortega y Gasset's Rebellion of the masses (i dunno if thats the correct translation) and an antology called galactic empires (asimov, clarke, shaara, anderson etc) i found in a used books store...
i dont know why diablo players hate wow players, they're just games... hahaha i believe thats taking things a bit to seriously, ive always played diablo and tried to play wow and play the first free 10 days and didnt stick with it, ... i mean if they asked me which game is better i'll obviously tell them diablo but warcraft II was an awesome game (rts) i played it a LOT, so theres no need for animosity (sorry if im offtopic, just needed to make the comment)
and yeah, diablo is waaay different from wow, a totally diferent experience, you'll like it, i also reccomend you play at least diablo 2 and expansion, youll love it!
paladin! i really hope they dont change it to a samurai sort of thing, i like the whole idea of the knight with mace and shield murdering whole hosts of demons! .. also a rogue as someone here posted with the combined abilities of assasin and amazon
