Obviously bigger, better items with higher level requirements will exist as you progress in the game no matter what. So don't worry about not being able to get badass items because blizzard decided to not make three difficulties.

I dont know if this was brought up anywhere else (I tried to search), and this may seem like an obvious "yes" in most people's minds. But Blizzard questions everything about a game.

Do you think there will be the same type of system as D2, beat normal, advance to nightmare, play the same levels with harder monsters, beat nightmare, advance to hell...? From what I've seen most people seem to take it for granted "I hope in hell difficulty in DIII..."

Would it be possible to make enough content to just make 1 game all the way through no difference in difficulty?

That said do you also expect the same ACT I,II,III...system?

    Based on what we know:
"There will almost definitely be some sort of system to respec; however, it isn't likely to be as liberal as World of Warcraft. We don't want to lock a player into a system that punishes them for mistakes, experimenting, or lack of knowledge early on in the game. We also don't think a system that allows immediate, complete, and at-a-whim changes to a character spec matches the feel of Diablo. It's likely to be somewhere in between.
That said we still feel like the desire to play the same class again that you may have played before is still a part of the game, and with some ability to respec could potentially require other incentives."

    I propose this system.

*At level 6 you are granted 6 reallocation points (1 reallocation point = the ability to unlearn 1 skill and place it elsewhere).
*1 reallocation point is gained per skill learned after level 6 (this includes skills gained through quests)
*At max level there is still an experience bar with which to gain reallocation points, but no skill points are gained obviously.

In the end since I don't know how long it will take to level a character fully (ridiculous for D2), I don't know if the last statement means much. Even without that though, you could make a lot of mistakes along the way and still end up pretty good, which I believe is the intent ("We don't want to lock a player into a system that punishes them for mistakes"). Or you can save all your reallocation points and do a complete respec late in the game. This would allow you to start off with a good grinding/leveling spec and then switch to whatever spec you want later. Let me know what you guys think.
