None of the synergy skills are usefull without the synergy.. except orb.
If u wanna do all around good sorc that has no problems with immunes. Max orb, meteor, fireball, thunderstorm.
For dual tree, meteor orb, or blizz fireball must be the most favorite.
About equipment full tal rasha is about the best choice for any sorc build(except full lightning i suppose). http://forums.diii.net/showthread.php?t=151250 pretty good thread for proving that.
I use that term loosely, "Just came back." I have been playing for just over a month now (a couple days before the announcement of D3). I still have friends who play religiously, so they helped me out with some starter gear for my 90 Zon. Baal runs seem to be the way to levevl these days, so doing those for a couple nights straight usually gets you a couple good drops and in my case 2 Ohm runes, Tals armor, and an Occy. =\
That guide really helped out a lot. But you recommend maxing Orb, Meteor and TS... Have you tried this build yourself and found it to be successful? No need to depend on a merc would be great...
I just got done making an Orb/CL Sorceress and I wasn't extremely pleased with her. Orb+Mastery was great (as always), but being new to D2 (after a 5 year break) I wanted to try out CL. I maxed out CL and Lightning mastery but with +16 skills I was only doing 5-3000ish dmg.
Is it even worth making a sorceress with CL if you're not going to max its synergies? I am now thinking about doing a meteor/orb sorc... Has anyone really tested this build? It would be dealing massive amount of damage with both Meteor and Orb, but the downside is I have to expend a few extra skills into some lightning skills cause I have to have TS, Tele, Static...
On top of that I was thinking about Blizzard. I see a lot of people using it, but is it handy for MFing or not? Orb has never really let me down against Meph and has a relatively low mana cost per cast.

I am going to get back into playing online as soon as my new D2 and LOD CD's arrive tomorrow. I usually play US East when I did play. I am in the same boat as you. I quite about 4-5 years ago and just now got back into it. I've never played ladder.
Are cow and baal runs just as prominent on Ladder as they are Non? And what character is fairly easy to get back into as far as obtaining decent items are concerned for a player who has nothing?
LoL, Nope, pic on the left is from Blue Dragon which is a 2007 RPG game (Aug 28, 2007), you can check it yourself on any game site.
But actually you missed the point, Style is not related to graphics quality, it has to do with color choices, anatomy, and facial features, and the difference between D3 and Blue Dragon styles tells the whole story.

However it says that Avtivision is still going to be there.. With the merger official, will Activision Blizzard be there?

Not exactly my cup of tea. They only beef I have with the current WD is that he is wearing purple.. something a little less 'fruity' would suffice. Other than that I love the WD more so than I did the Necro.
My guess is that they decided announce D3 as early as possible so they could generate as much hype as possible before E3 in Las Vegas. Does anyone have the exact date on that?
I am positive they will announce more information at E3. The question is... how much more information will they share? =] Of course, this is all just speculation by me, but it just makes sense... I know if I was Blizzard I would release D3 just as they did to generate all that hype to get as much feedback as possible before I said anything further that might hurt them in the future.
