shapeshifting, combat skills (Barb), and Offensive auras = best combo ever
Just imagine seeing a werebear with fanatacism flying through the air as he jumps towards you with his leap attack
Hey, with the news of Diablo 3 and all the hype I couldn't help my self from reinstalling LoD. I was just wondering if anyone out there could help me out, all forms of help are greatly appreciated. If you think you can, just message willdabeast123, and let me know you read this thread. thanks!
I could be wrong but I don't think we ever really killed diablo. in both cases we destroyed a corrupted body being possessed by diablo. Perhaps, with the destruction of the Worldstone, he can emerge from hell without need of a human host, and in Diablo III we fight his true form?
i wouldn't mind just having a pet as a way to further personalize my character. However, having a pet that actually does something other than being aesthetically pleasing wouldn't fit the Diablo feel in my opinion. Then again it could be an awesome new addition for all I know.
I agree that giving players the ability to respec is a bad idea. In diabloII my blizz sorc was my blizz sorc and my fire sorc was my fire sorc. Respecing would only destroy the sense that i had created a character through my experiences in the game. It would also destroy any sense of reality, if at any point i can completely change my character on a whim. The only case in which i can see respecing having a positive effect is if it were built in to a quest and was a one time thing.
About the Fire Bomb issue and it's seeming so out of place:
I believe I read somewhere that the Witch Doctor is known for mixing concoctions. Perhaps one section of his skill tree is devoted to concoctions such as this?
Barbarian
Witch Doctor (basically necro/druid)
Mage (pure caster)
Ranger (could be a combo of amazon and assassin with range and traps?)
Holy Knight (Or any other name you choose, but basically a paladin. I can't see them completely turning their backs on this type of character)
explosives artist who uses "technology" to his advantage. Not like automatic guns or anything but like shotguns and maybe have a higher up skill where he could summon a cannon or something.
That would completely destroy the feel of the game in my opinion. Summon a cannon? sounds like the tinker from wc3.
