i like it, makes sense better than the light radius crap

Light radius is very much a diablo thing, I would find it hard to get rid of.

Maybe they should make gold drops like item drops (individual) and you get an auto pickup when it falls...as in let's say you kill a monster, the monster drops 15gp, the gold like flies at your char and he absorbs it, gaining the gold in inventory.

Since you can never overfill the inventory with gold, it won't bother to always have it picked up.

I like it, just like mario except better ;)

I was 6 when it came out too. But I just started playing it last week and it was very fun!

Favorite moment: Everyone of Wirt's quotes.

"Look, I'm running a business here..."

Would have been the butcher, but everybody told me about it already, and the first time I played through, I didn't get the quest, so the second time I got him in two hits and it was anti-climatic :(

Also, since a lot of people (myself included) like to complete achievements, you could do something to include achievements/titles without distracting from gameplay. For example, if all trivial and easily obtainable achievements/titles were kept secret, people wouldn't do them just to be that achievement whore, people would play the game and be pleasantly suprised they have done something game designers felt should be an integral part of the game. For instance, if you could get the title "the Economist" for purchasing and selling one or more items to each merchant, all Blizzard would have to do is not include descriptions of those trivial achievements, in addition to not giving the achievement immediatley upon completion. Instead, at a random time within a 7-day window, you would get a notice that you have achieved 'the Economist", but under no circumstances during the same game session that it was actually achieved. It will leave players somewhat mystified but also feeling that they have done something right. The exeption to this rule would be stuff that people want to brag about, like soloing all bosses by themselves at one point or another. Basically, trivial stuff isn't described and awarded randomly so people feel good but don't know exactly why they got something for other than playing thoroughly, and the big stuff will be somewhat obvious so more people know that you've done something awesome.

I really like that idea, but I feel like some douchebag hacker would get in there and figure it out after a couple weeks anyway.

By class-balanced I didn't mean that it requires a certain character to complete an achievement. I want them to be nearly identically easy or hard for all classes, to give a honest comparative measure towards efficiency.

WoW is as pick-up and go as you make it out to be. Even before achievements, people would always persue player-improvement in the part of the game they like most, similar to how D2 had its core group of MF'ers, PvP'ers and PvE'ers. Raiding is but one of many facets engame offers and does require some form of group planning to do, but PvP can be just as time consuming and rewarding (but doesn't have to be). The stuff you choose to do is done so on a voluntary basis as a lvl80, and there is no need to do everything the game has to offer, but you can if you want to.

Yea, but in order to be a good PvE'er you really needed to have it take a chuck of your life out.

All I am saying is that I view Diablo as a much less time consuming game (but almost as addictive) and the achievement should reflect that.

I'd like to see some tomes in D3 that you could go and read. Similar to WoW, there are like 50 different books around the world and they have nice amount of story about the lore.

    And in Diablo 1...

    My paladin lvl 90

    Merc = Insight / Delrium / Gloom
Gloom Armour very good for Enhanced Defense and High Def // 3 Soc = Fal/Um/Pul
Gives Strength and All Resistences my at the moment is All Resistence 45* and Strength 10*

My Merc never died since useing this armour

Duriels + Forty i used previously but Gloom has done the job for me :)

I Hope this was usefull :)

Their is no doubt that gloom is a solid runeword. But it is definatly not the best. Do you ever solo baal/trav with your merc. I find it hard to believe he would survive either unless your char is superb. (Mine occasionally dies on baal with the wave 2 poison combined with the hydras from wave 3.) Of course I never give him potions lol.

Sounds like very good advice. Unfortunately my account just got banned I think. I play out of an internet cafe and so I don't know if someone put any 3rd party programs in the D folder as I usually just use the shortcut on the desktop. Anyways....after playing all day I logged out to mule some things. When I wanted to log back on...I got some message saying " Account is closed 8" or something like that. All that work down the drain. *sigh*

It's very possible that you are just temp banned for signing in/out too many times. They do this to try to stop spammers (doesn't work).

    Try logging in tomorrow.
