I duno...when I first saw the gameplay video I wsa extremely happy, I loved the style and after reading what blizzard said I am even happier...They have always known what they are doing...I think it's not an issue of Blizzard going you know what fans...F'U!!! I kinda believe it's more of an issue of guys relax...remember who we are...we have been in this industry not only for a long while now but we have dominated this industry almost since we started out. Our job is to make the games...your job is to play them...

I almost started a topic about Light Radius and I am glad they have got rid of it for the most part. and as they said if they can make it work in some dungeous then they will do it. Honestly that excites me more...Knowing that some dungeouns could be so dark and some not so much...variety is a good thing

This whole WoW-ish thing is sooo out of hand...Blizzard have their style of graphics...Warcraft and Starcraft...they have similar styles aswell.

Diablo has taken a little bit of this style but I still think the look still keeps a certain realness about it. I look at the barb and I look at a human from WoW, the barb just has a more human and real feel about him. Granted I would like to see some deep dark caves, tombs, dungeons and the like but you need a ballance...

The game being to WoW-ish though is one of the most foolish comments I have ever heard. The game will never be to WoW-ish...purely for the reason that the game just can't play out like WoW...there may be slight similarites in graphics but once you start playing you will not be sitting there going hmm outa pots guys I gota head back to Iron Forge...Wait...we are playing Diablo...totally forgot guys they are both so similar.

I mean I have the character page open for d3 right now and the crickets and other haunting sounds already is going to give a darker feel about it if we expect taht ingame. I also have a feeling Night and Day will play a larger part in this sequal...so you will get the darkness you all crave for.

Edit:...also poor uni/college student...the game was just announced...If you put away $1 every day im pretty sure you will have more then enough for quite a few copies by the time it is released

I also think the wanderer would have changed...like cain says...he orginally was very quite after defeating diablo that first time. But the longer diablo was inside of him I think the more he would have taken on that skeletal/death like appearance before diabo was about to consume him. So we may never have seen the wanderer like this but I am pretty sure that he would have looked like that over the time before diablo took complete control

Rukahs has to have it right...

I don't see any logic behind having a completely new demon on the cover UNLESS is was Diablo 3: Lord of many mouths...

Thus giving it a reason for another demon to be there...just like LoD

I'm massivle suprised that people would even think it was something else. Since the destruction of the worldstone like people have mentioned this would have caused a slight change in him...the other two mouths which has also been mentioned could be a metaphor for the three prime evils, rather then have them all there. But I would go with the destruction of the worldstone has allowed diablo to know take on his true demonic form, rather then inhabit a humans body, he may not even walk on two legs this time around

I'll be eating my own words if it does turn out to be the Lord of many mouths on the cover though...*rolls eyes*

I know people loved the necro, but it's just bizzare for me to comprehend people wanting to just transfer the necro into the next story. I don't know I would be like alright I've played him give me something new, some new skills/spells. Granted once we finish D1 again I am hitting up D2 with a Necro...but I just thought people would want something fresh. Thats my take...

Thats why this rerun of the Barb...he better have learnt some cool new moves...like a LEAPING WHIRLWIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't understand why people keep wanting the Nerco brought back...Yeah he is awsome yada yada but why...don't people want something fresh. Having the Witch Doctor opens up some more options which could benifit a party, some healing spells or concoctions. Who knows...

Having the Barb come back yeah ok...I personally wasnt keen on it...I want something new. But if he ties in well with the story line and there is a reason for him not to have gone mad with the terrors he has seen then thats A-OK by me. I would also love to see the other chrs through out the game or a mention of what has happened to them in the past 20 years.

Still kinda hoping for that twisted Paladin class...the horrors he has seen has pushed him over the edge and now he has an internal battle with himself not to completely loose it and also gives his a chance for some anti paladin shiz.

I think 5 classes is a good figue. adding a couple more in an expansion wouldn't be to bad later down the track but I would much rather less characters and a brilliant game then stacks of chrs and a so so game.

But it's blizzard they know exactly how to make a #1 game

I'm with the rest, you don't need to change camera angle...what advantage does that provide...the isometric veiw give you a 360degree view...if you some how get suprised by a group of monsters sneaking up behind you, then you must be doing something terribly wrong. Zooming in wont help you find the items either, their will be a button assigned to highlight the item drops surely, that is not something they would drop.

Bringing back all classes...that doesnt make any sense...Lets have a warrior, paladin and a barbarian...a rouge and an amazon, to much of the exact same thing. Personally I am a little disapointed that the barbarian is comming back...a cool character in its right yes but I would like fresh new characters to run through a game with...but as long as there is a rework to his skill tree making him fresh im all for it.

And Yeah already stated, there are no races other then humans and the demonic forces...so that wont work. No Gnomes or Elves taking on the demonic forces of Hell thank you

A shared Storage would be nice expecially for those people that don't play much online.

As for a house...I duno I find it hard to picture a Witch Doctor walk through a portal to his humble home sit down for a while and make himself some cookies...:P

I personally don't think WoW and D3 being alike is too much of an issue. All I can see that would happen/is happening is what you would expect. WoW does have a good system which works. I have seen people say why can't we keep #buttons for potions and the "F" buttons for spells, Right now we are playing through Diablo1 and you get four spells and it is annoying as all hell going through my four spells always changing them if one monster resists and also trying to pot up if I get in a bit of a situation.

Don't get me wrong, these games are my favorite ever. But I feel that this system is outdated and there is a simpler way to do it, if going along a WoW path is the key then so be it. These minor changes are not what has and will make you play diablo.

Games share ideas, and as the saying goes "if it aint broke don't fix it" Now that does not mean they are the same game. Warcraft 2 Orc vs Humans, then along comes Starcraft Terren vs Protos vs Zerg, along comes Warcraft 3 Orcs vs Humans vs Night Elves. This is just how it works, to build a better gaming experiance.

These minor changes will not mean the game will play like WoW, Diablo is a point and click, granted you could point n click in WoW (I started out doing that cause I was a Diablo boy first and formost) but this game was not meant for that and it didn't work so you plat "WASD" Along with that it's a MMO which game play is always going to be different. You log into WoW and you got your mates in the same world off to do another quest or grind for something. You will just into Diablo and each and every time it's different and you run through a narrative. Personally I think tha is the core aspect of the games and the pure reason that they may have similar looks now but the game play experiance as a whole will be what makes and breaks any game.

We may loose a bit but thats expected it is still blizzard but it's not Blizzard North, and in all honesty when Blizzard North left a massive part of me almost died thinking that there could be a possiblity that we may never get D3.

Blizzard have only ever failed on a game ONCE in my opinion...and that game was Starcraft Ghost...but it was never released because they knew that it was not up to Blizzard's standard of exclence!...Don't stress to much we will have to wait a while for this but it will be WORTH IT!

What I would love to see in Diablo 3...

Well if I had the chioce to pick one gaming series and play that for the rest of my life it would be diablo so the announcement of the third sweet lord is the greatest news I have heard in my life!!

I would love to see the best of both 1 & 2

Feeling that 2 dropped some of the brilliance that made 1 so great (along with adding some more brilliance)

-I would love randomised quests to come back into the fray (I think this is already in the works with even class specific quests) So I am pretty confident to see new things each time playing...also for these to be implemented into battlenet rather then just single player would be excelent!!

    - Tying in with the randomisation of quests I would love to see random main bosses, sometimes you get this guy sometimes you get this one...just like diablo 1 sometimes you would have butcher/leoric, others butcher/poisoned water. Keep the bosses that are esential for the story line but mixing up some others would be nice

    - I love the skills but I would also love to see the rare spell come back through finding books. the joy of hunting after a spell through a book and finally getting that one spell you have been searching for!! LOVE IT

    - Shrines has got a mention, I really thing the random and unforgiving nature of some of the shrines in diablo 1 should come back...we need to take a risk. The ability to gain at the cost of loosing something else and taking that gamble...as much as you hated seeing your magic go down and strength go up deep down I know you all loved it LoL

    - I would love to see the game take the freedom of chr spec that doesn't seem to come. After its been out for a while there is a build that works best for each class and with the respec just like all games now thats what could happen. Dont get me wrong I am all for the respec, but I would love it to allow for change along with freedom. Not go oh crap that isn't the way the character NEEDS to be but you know what this works better for me. NO UBER SINGLE WAY TO SPEC A CLASS

    - Again this same concept with weapons and armour, I would love the fact that there is no such thing as The ULTIMATE GEAR!!...having the options and the chioce enables people to be different and individual. I dont want to see Teir 1 Tier 2 Teir 3 and this is the sets that EVERYONE aims for (I have a feeling this is going to be what happens)

    - The Rareness of items, make us keep playing and serching don't make things easy, make us work for our gear the Diablo Series is about replayabilty.

    - Art work wise, I do agree on what blizzard have said that you need these contrasts in oder to make your dark and gothic dungeons even darker then, I think they know what they are talking about in that respect, if CAN NOT be 100% gloomy all the time, I do want to see some form of change. That being said I do hope they give it a slight more realistic feel, granted I dont mind it and it would never stop me from playing the game but it could be so much better I want to see those balck's and grey's come back rather then the blue/greens. Although a blend between them both would be sufficiant, as long as there is the light radius system implemented, that will help give more of an eerie effect.

    - Co-op playing a big part. Being a single player and a multi player game finding this ballance may almost be impossible but if anyone can do it I know Blizzard will manage. Needing certain classes to help get you through the whole game...just think of it as one big "instance" Team work is required or else it aint happening, needing those mixture of classes 5 barbarians will get slaughted out there no matter how much their whirl whild rips everything to shreds there is something bigger and badder out there that will stop them in the tracks and they need that which docter to come in and help push forward.

    - And the Blizzard style of humour kicking strong, give me a town drunk also while im on that issue

Well I know there is a few more things but a lot has been covered and I really wanted to just voice my own opinions, I'm off to do a bit of reading!
