If that is implimented then everyone will set their games to non-pk and then the only games that will be PK-able would be duel games.. or games that will eventually be turned into duel games because PKers only have a choice of 1 or 2 out of thousands of games which they can join.

That is a good thing. If you lose interest now, you won't have to go through the agonizing wait until the game shows up one or two years later. Play other games in the meantime, and get excited again when beta comes out.
PK and Griefing happens on WoW pvp servers all the time. The 2 million players who play on those realms seem fine with that.
They didn't mind because they knew that it came with the territory of the servers that they chose to play on, specialized servers that not everyone was forced to play on.

If every one of them just so happened to be using characters with PvP builds and were a decent enough level to stand a chance. But of course, I'm sure every game you've ever played, the characters have always been of optimum builds, with optimum gear and optimum levels, so you've never had to worry about a thing.
