Can't we all just settle that we each have our own opinion. Some of us are unsettled by the new art direction, it's clearly visible and yahoo showed a good example. But you can't tell us that we should sit here and watch Blizzard make these changes. When they made the announcement and showed us the video, it goes like this "this is our new game, this is how it looks, this is how it plays, this is what you get".

It is completely up to us to make comments, this is what Blizzard wants - our opinions!
For 30000+ to sign a petition means there is truly something amiss here.

Yes Blizzard make good games. Yes I look forward to Diablo 3. No I do not like this new blue and green overlay look.

Whiners whining about whiners, are we not allowed our own opinions? Is your opinion more valuable than our own?

I do! His response to the floating red globe didn't satisfy me.
All he needed to do was explain the lore behind it but nooOOOOooo.
I'll turn his body into a globe and then I'll eat it. But it's not a promise sry, we'll make it a side mission for now.

Have occasional human moans in the distance in caves &/or dungeons. Was such an awesome addition to Diablo 1, especially when we ran into the Butcher for the first time.

    Spellbooks. I want rare spellbooks.

Also this idea is a must, "human moans in the Distance on a cave or dungeon" just like in Diablo 1.
This is almost a necessity, it's was so awesome in D1!!

Noooo thanks. I don't want to get stuck being the healer of the group having to throw potions.

And how is bashing someone in the head with a glass bottle and soaking them with the potion going to make more sense anyway? Potions are meant to be drank.

Hmm good point but just as equal as running into a popping health globe..
Ok just ignore the smashing on the head suggestion.

posted a message on Alternate Health Globe idea
I know Orbs/Globes have been heavily discussed and is still ongoing on the D3 forums.
However, since I do not have a battlenet account I can not join that particular argument to announce this idea.

    Idea:

Here's a new idea that could increase the game play. Blizz want us to run around, plan things with friends. How about they implement broken health potions, as well as the option to throw a potion during battle. So you could have a friend or mercenary standing back throwing potions on occasion and we would need to escape the battle to stand in the healing gas.

Now I'll set the scene the same way Bashiok did on the D3 forums:
You're a barbarian, you're in the wilderness and after fighting wave after wave of ghouls, skeletons, demons, what have you, you're low on health. You're out of potions, and after using a strategic leap out of the fray you turn around and seismic slam the skeletons charging you. Two of them drop potions that smash, but the potions shattered behind the skeletons that are still advancing and the mixture is evaporating quickly forming a misty red cloud. If they reach you, you're not going to survive. Are you able to leap safely into the healing cloud before they can tear into you? Can you throw out another slam and try to remove the remaining enemies? How can you survive? You have a fraction of a second to decide.
Or you're coop friend throws a potion for you to jump into.

Image of smashed potion in action (example taken from D3 forum discussion):

I'm not against health globes. I'm just aiming to have something more explained that we're all familiar with. If Blizzard could at least tell us the logic behind these health globes there might not be such a huge debate here because most of us are seeing them implement arcade style gameplay.

    World of Diablo can work.
It would be pay to play if it was an MMO.. If it was to be free, then we would be seeing coke ads everywhere to cover blizzards costs. People don't realize this!

I was disappointed Diablo 3 wasn't an MMO but I'm still quite happy about more of the story. I'm sure Diablo 3 will leave quite a few things open for a sequal, we just won't know until we get our hands on it.

I also heard that Blizzard intend to make all their major franchise into MMO worlds. Fingers crossed for the future.

Diablo 2 wasn't p2p and it still got content updates.
People have to realize that Diablo 3 is not an MMO, it has a start a middle and an end. They can extend the game with an expansion but it's not the kind of realm that you can keep adding knew islands, new dungeons constantly.

Also, you talk about kids as though they're going to significantly ruin this game. Diablo isn't a difficult game, anyone could play it. Even a young kid has a good chance to out-skill you.

And that's just my 2 cents. All games that are not in the MMO realm should remain free to play.

Hmm, I don't mind the idea but then again the accomplishments aren't much different than in-game quests.
Killing monsters x-amount of times is going to happen anyway for most of us players.

If those skills you suggest are going to be as weak and useless... what makes you think anyone even bothers to use them? They're after all weak and useless like you said.
And didn't we already have those, somewhat useless spells, which you could acquire through wielding some item, weapon? Idea is good, but I suggest that these skills, spells anyone can get, could be unique, something no other class has. It should be like some bonus spells and useful.

Well you just have to take a gander at my examples. It would be awesome if say only 10000 out of 1 million players had found a tomb that taught them how to cast Town portal or identify. Then they wouldn't need to carry scrolls. A useless skill in battle but useful in terms of gameplay without disturbing the game world.

Other spells could be decided by blizzard. Some useless rare spells you could play with in town while waiting for the party to gather. Again although useless, would still fit in the Diablo world.

When you speak of enchanted weapons, it is slightly similar but different. I'm talking about spells that don't belong in the skill tree and are taught only by ancient or rare tombs found in dungeons.

i think it would be too easy to farm.

I know what you mean but in D2 a boss specific item could drop off anything as far as I know
Diablo, the game of slot machine drops.. But then it does make me wonder if they kept this in diablo 3.. I would sure hate everyone to be farming the same thing for "tier 3" gear.. omg
