I think a majority of players will do quite a bit of them, and probably all of them actually ... -
Oct 1, 2009Xhawk posted a message on Diablo II Patch 1.13- More Delays, Hopefully a Brighter FutureDelay is ok I suppose. Wanted to get back into D2 to hold me over till D3 comes out, but I guess thats just more longer I'll wait to decide.Posted in: News

Just think .. his daughter will go back to school soon, and say to everyone she spent all last month playing Diablo 3 !!!
The kids wont know what the hell she's talking about ... although if she has a teacher who's a fan, he'll be asking her stuff and trying to get a demo himself !!!

Aug 25, 2009Xhawk posted a message on Bashiok Explains Monk Class Not From 'Hellfire'.Personally, I dont link the class of Monk back to the Hellfire expansion (which I did play, although only briefly).Posted in: News
When I hear Monk, I thought of the old AD&D Monk (back in the day, I played AD&D frequently & tried a Monk class once and loved it)
I agree that peple are connecting him to the Hellfire Monk because they want something from the older days of Diablo to surface in D3. -
Aug 23, 2009Xhawk posted a message on Fansite Press Conference for Diablo 3 and WoW (Saturday)Wow ... no town portals ?? Definitly going to need to get used to that .. I guess it all depends on how spaced apart the waypoints are. And it would seem that constantly gaining loot then a quick TP back to town to cash in, might not be able to be done constantly.Posted in: News
And if Quest items are green .. what color will set items be ? Thats going to throw me off for sure. I think it will for most players who are locked in to what the colors mean. -
Jul 12, 2008Xhawk posted a message on Diablo III - More DetailsI really like this idea ...Posted in: News
I liked it even before we knew that last bit of info (after your drops hit, you can pick then up and drop them at which they become visable to all).
So I guess in theory, if everyone just drops stuff they dont want, you can end up wityh loads of extra items. However, the bad part of that is basically if they see the drop and dont want it, its doubtful in the face pace game, they will take the time to pick it up and drop it. They will probably just look at it, and move on. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

It'll be a journey and will take time to figure out. Im ok with base stats auto-leveling but also give us at least 1 or 2 points to put where we want. Id like at least some customization, even if it wasnt like D2.

Sometimes people take extended breaks, and want to go back maybe 8 or 9 months later. Whats wrong with that ?? I had to say goodbye to several 95+ level characters because of the limit, and now I feel like re-installing D2 again and playing, but I wont because of that.

This is Blizzard we are talking about --- B-L-I-Z-Z-A-R-D !!!!!
My only 2 concerns are 1 - can they work with a graphic system today that will still look new 2 years from now ? So far, I like the envirnments, I love the shading and colors. But with technology advancing so quickly, DirectX 12 will probably be out, and a slew of video cards with much more capabilities than we have now. Yet, I have faith !!
Oh, and 2 - I hope they dont go overboard with the whole 'blood everywhere' thing. I mean some of those Monk vids showed him exploding monsters into nothingness lol. I think its a bit overdone, unless they were just trying to convey how powerful his attacks are. I just dont want it overused to the point where it loses its effectiveness as a graphical enhancement to both gameplay and atmosphere.

60% isnt to bad .. Hell, Id pay $200 right now to play just the 60% or whatever is done so far !!!!!!
As for me, I'll be 36 when it hits (as long as its before Sept 2011, and I started playing Diablo when the first game came out .. so I have about a decade under my belt

Would make the learning curve of a new character a bit easier, if you misplace skills early on.

Ive always wanted to get into water cooling, and am an overclocking fan of sorts. I have my eyes on building a rig around Q6700, 2 XFX 9800 GTX's in SLI, 4gb ram, and some other goodies.
Good times ahead hopefully !!
