there is always bugs when a game is released and lots of loop holes for hackers to use no doubt. but i think with the new battle.net blizzard is going to keep a tight watch on all those possiblities for duping and hacking. i had so many friends that played D2. lan cafes all day long for hours and hours. it all came to an end when poeple started fucking up the game with dupes and hacks. poeple just stopped wanting to play.

even though blizzard tries to keep a close eye on battle.net they can only do so much.. i'm not trying to be a downer or w.e but there will be so many people playing this game (especially for the game sizes, assuming it'll be d2 style) that it'll be hard to monitor all the hacks and such

but who knows? maybe the hacks/dupes wont be as prevalent as D2 and other games

whatever happens, technology advances, there will be no doubt that security issues will be as big of a problem as previous games.

If we went with the quest option I think your idea of begin able to respec either stats or one skill tree is pretty genious, but that way you won't be able to respec one part. Unless, you can't repsec str/vitality/all that.

i had totally forgot about stats lol, i was just thinking the skills route

I actually kinda dig this idea. Call it something like 'Stone of Rebirth' and it allows a full respec. I do agree it would have to be very, very rare. The idea of having something like this as a quest reward isn't bad either IMHO, maybe once per difficulty a la imbuing?

I almost like that a bit more because it allows a flat / fair 3 (assumedly) respects per character, whereas through trading a drop would allow it as many times as you wanted. Either way would be interesting.

using your idea how about.. you can respec a full skill tree (instead of the whole shebang)..assuming there is 3 skill trees and that there is 3 'stone of rebirth's', 1 per difficulty, so basically you get once chance to fully respec your character completely.. if not.. you can respec one part of the tree 3 diff times or whatever you please

or is that a bit farfetched haha

posted a message on Multiplayer. Which style?
format should be similar to that of d2 with of course a few new changes =p

but in general a chatroom style with the characters and list of games showing would be cool

hovering the mouse over characters could show details and gamelistings could be described in more detail

also when you create a game you could specifiy what the primary purpose of that room is A1, A2, etc. or core quests, side quests, random quests, class specific quests and when choosing a game to enter you could click a drop down list of those categories.. thus sorting the rooms out..

or is that idea a little whack? lol

It could be made impossible to hold more than one? Or once another appears the other disappears.

ah that works too, nice lol
basically like the anni charm but used specifically for respecing

seems viable but the only issue is, once a way to dupe/hack comes out for d3 that 'respecing' item will be duped to no end lol

posted a message on Most Powerful Items in D3?
in my eyes uniques are just .. simply uniques lol. so i don't see uniques needing to be the 'strongest'

rares on the other hand are called 'rares' for a reason =p

so given that i'd say rares should potentially be the 'strongest'

    i dunno..

by the way, 11secrx7, i envy your car ;] been a fan of the fd's for a looong time =]
