pretty bold statement (no pun intended haha) for a game that isn't even near completion

but i can see where you're coming from (op) but as some have said, we have yet to see what theyre going to bring to the table.

not only is diablo 3 trying to cater to the old fan base, it is also opening itself to people have never even played the diablo franchise.

there is a reason why blizzard spent so much time on this game already.. there is a reason why they have invested so much in this project.. because they KNOW it will succeed.

if this game was as bad as those 'few' make it out to be, the project would have been scrapped such a long time ago.

also, for games that went downhill, that's pretty much all personal preference.. someone mentioned that after FFX the FF series went down hill.. go to gamefaqs.com, FFXII is one of the most active boards. everyone complains that the gameplay is stupid, gambits are stupid, yadda yadda yadda..

why is it under the top 10 games? ..

again, theres a reason why large developers make these changes, because it's different and they know it will work.

    it's just personal preference.

change isn't always a bad thing.

^^^^^^^ lol so you're not gonna play diablo 3 just because every class might be able to jump? .. lol..

so many to read, don't know if it has been asked.. and don't know if it veers too far off from the gameplay trailer..

we see that certain skills have certain maximums (1, 5, 20)..
will items have +skills? skill tree? to all skills?
if so, would a maxed out skil 5/5 with a +1 all skills show as 6/5? and how will it be calculated?

i'm assuming a skill that only has a maximum of 5 or 1 is a 'good' skill and since D2 had a potential of over +10 skills it would seem to be overkill in D3

    thanks!

i played since .08 and i pvped about 98% of the countless hours i played, id say the majority of chars pre .10 are those ive mentioned, about 99% of the chars in all major pvp games. after .10 that list blossomed to include chars that used more of the skill tree, thus more diversity.

as for d3, who knows how the balance would be? but i like the idea of having class skills from other chars, whether charges or not, it just provides more depth and creativity.

when you talk about different builds appearing, yes it was very diverse.

i guess what i meant (looking back at the post i re-edited it alot haha) was that once enigma was introduced every build (at least the casters) were similar in item setup and point allocation (but then it could just be the items) bah i dunno

haha so u like a pvp with all ww barbs and ice sorcs and some bowazons, because that was before .10

what are u talkin about with diversity there?

with enigma every character was about the same, just different primary skills and a few different misc items here and there
other than that all chars were pretty much the same; like pre-made cutouts haha
    if that makes sense haha

as for pvp i saw light sorcs, zealers, bone necs, etc
they weren't the choice builds but they were still present.

when i pvp'ed in 1.09 things were fine.. IMO i didn't see a problem with it

haha my bad, i keep editing this post,
as one of the other posters said, its a sorc skill, therefore i think it should stay purely with the sorc.
i didn't find a problem with charges, but once +skills came along it kinda trailed off for me but thats getting more off topic

posted a message on Diablo 3: really short in length?
if the main story is as long as d2 i could care less, as long as there is a lot of content (areas to explore, items, etc)

also didnt they say that they would have randomly generated quests too?

op, what are you talking about?
pvp was just fine in 1.09

also having an item allow every character use teleport would imo ruin the game
so much for having diversity haha

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were on the dev. team and were involved in the process of creating D3. Please enlighten the rest of us with your vast, overwhelming, factual knowledge on the subject.

Or just keep blowing smoke out of your arse. That works too.

i don't see why people have such a big problem with an 'editor' of some sort..
what i've read is "too much wow/warcraft influence"

wow.. it's lnot like you HAVE to use it -___-
it's one aspect of the game that you dont need to use or w.e

i don't see how it would hurt to have a 'world editor' to create your own isht

    modding ftw haha
