posted a message on Bosses Thread
I was sitting here and was thinking, thinking, thinking and came up with this.

A boss battle that takes place at a small town or village, and you have to fight 1-3 bosses that blend in with the people. You have to walk around and try not to kill civilians. So you have to use your attacks in a smart way. Casting buffers and auras whenever possible, etc.

For this particular idea, I was thinking the bosses could try to assasinate you with poisons and brief melee attacks.

Thats as far as I got.

    Wrath...

could be a sweet boss...if the horror level was raised. For example, if it was hard as hell to track it, see it, and if it had some downright nasty abilities.

90% of this thread is...well....:offtopic:. Why don't you two bickering ninnies get a marriage license and meet in vegas. BACK ON TO THE TOPIC OF THIS THREAD.

I think the horsemen could be a fun side quest...it may not be completely original. However, it is somethign a lot of people would notice and relate to. Which is indeed fun even if it seems gimmicky.

If I were to take on this sort of side quest task, using red/black/yellow/white deaths. Instead of knights, I think they could be represented with some pretty ferocious and unique demons. One could be massive and completely destroy its surrounds because of how out of control it is...almost as if it were overloading and not even aware of whats happening. Another could be extremely strategic and pick the player apart using its skillsets in a very efficient manner. One could even be pretty big at first, but break apart into three different parts, each with its own stats....ie: agility, defensive, offensive, magical, melee, etc. Just for fun one could be a complete dimwhit, get beta down and give up the locations of the others in the form of riddles...adding more to the side quest..having to solve a mystery of sorts just to finish.

Those are just ideas, nothing to take as if it will ever happen. Just trying to think outside of the box a tiny bit. But trying to give players something they might be able to relate with.

posted a message on So... the other 3 classes?
I'm thinking of something along the lines of a Corsair. Can be male/female. Skills are open for a lot of things that are not casting. Can be good melee or bow ability. Auras & combat enhancement maybe to decrease health and increase attack rate. Exploration skills that could increase light radius, help your Alies locate the destructable environment to make certain fights easier, even find enemies setting up for ambushes and take them out before they can start their attack. Different pet summons, maybe large cats like jaguras or panthers...something other than bears and wolves for a change. Even new traps, not the kind that shoot flames or lighting at enemies. Something along the lines of explosive traps that can be tripped sending bodies/environmental elements flying, or even poison traps that can be powered up to intensify the poison. This isn't a completely new idea, just something rehashed and a little different. The name could even be changed, if Corsair doesn't bid well with consumer testing. I think fans of Paladin could get behind something like this, and that could have the same effect as Witch Doctor with Necro players. Although, not the same...still something similar to get their attention. I'm sure its been discussed or somethign similar...but I think this is a pretty reasonable suggestion. I'm not too sure how it would fit into the diablo lore, but I'm sure there is a coastal town/city that can be taken advantage of.

Amen to the poster above me. Everyone tries to compare D3 to D2 and LOD...go upload that era of diablo and try to tell me it looks BETTER than D3. It can't be done! Diablo 2 HAS terrible graphics. If they want to make that game, they may as well make it Windows 98 compatable. The D3 graphics are going to look brilliant on my computer, screw the haters. Blizzard is smart in making this game CMPTR friendly for everyone, more money for this game means more money for future endeavors. Including more Diablo games if they see that anywhere in their companies future.

I've noticed something on diablo official site, outside caldeum on a field two men talking.... One is like king or something and the other (left) is like some sort of knight...(?) I'm not wicked-sick-hard-core-gamer but I haven't seen anyone talking about this..Who is this knight? A new class??:offtopic:

Why would you post that here?

For everyone complaining about the Wizards lightning attacks and other abilities not being realistic enough...This is a game about fighting demons with magic powers...think about it. Ridiculous.

How does this crappy thread keep getting bumped? Its up to 7 pages of recycled trash. The same arguements over and over, not bringing up any new ideas or hypothesis about what Diablo3 might have in store. Who cares about what Blizzard has done in the past? THIS IS DIABLO 3...ITS NEW. Things are going to change, like it or not. Get used to it kids.

There's nada there, caca, nothing of importance...just skepticism. Blizzard would gain nothing from throwing some random "Face" in some smoke...Because its certainly not Tyrael's, or Diablo's "face".

On the D3 website, when you watch the serperate videos showcasing the Barbarian's move set. The end of the whirlwind clip is hilarious. He slaughters everyone and theres one lonely baddie left. It looks like he just backhands him and sends him flying. I find this quite entertaining. Barbarian might be the first class I play just so I can backhand monsters off the screen. Check it out for yourself, its pretty good.
