I will definitely buy it... Back when Pac-Man or Mario Bros. came out they were very fun and addictive... So in the end I would buy the game even if they kept the same graphics as it is now (Or same gamma and hue i should say...... -_-) And I would still buy it anyways because that level in the gamplay trailer was a sanctuary built for the heavens... Not Hell or a dungeon or a cave or somthing. In the end... Gameplay overrules graphics.
haha totally agree, im sure there will be hanging bodies an stuff, and it does seem a little more brighter but we got a glimpse of like what the 1st dungeon and a forest? but oh well its gonna be amazing!!! so yay either way!
And actually that was a temple/ruin for the Heavens which is being invaded by demons... It isn't a dungeon, cave, hell or New Tristram... It is a sanctuary built for Heaven. So I'm sure you will get your hanging and bleeding zombies and bodies when your in a real scary situation.

The petition is essentially about IMPROVING the graphics, hopefully in a way that doesn't put back the release date too far.
Its also to improve the atmospheric & ambient visual effects in the game to keep it more in sync with the Diablo universe. Stuff like hanging bodies everywhere, blood pentagrams on the floor, etc etc.
And now I'm going to re-quote you on something.
Its utterly rediculous to say this.
1. Becuase you have no idea what the petition was about in the first place, thus do not understand peoples motives for signing.
and
2. Becuase the graphics that we have seen for D3 are pretty outdated now anyway, due to blizzards aging visual style, a remnant from WCIII.

But honestly guys... What is so bad about the game right now?... It isn't dark enough?... Its the beta version/game play trailer to get us excited. I will sign the petition if it is to make the game a tad darker... But wait?, Cant you just change that in your graphics/video settings like in Diablo 2?......... But is it WoW?... No it isn't... It isn't a 3rd person behind-the-back view... Its a Diablo based game with the same feel, mood and action of Diablo 2 and LoD... 1. Keep the kiddies out. I am tired of 14 year old punks ruining my gaming experience. With a monthly fee, that is payable by credit card not game card, it would get rid of a lot of immaturity and would result in a better game. The game is rated M for a reason. Go watch your bob the builder and leave the gaming to the adults, thanks..

Major update!: As I have since stated, I feel the game looks phenomenal in motion (not that it looks bad in images). Here is an excerpt from an interview at 1up which seems to confirm my thoughts on how playing the game will feel: Rob Pardo: "We don't want the game to look like WOW. We want it to look like Diablo. But we felt that there was an opportunity to add more color to the game but still keep the game feeling dark. And I think that's something a little tougher to see in a demo. I think when you're playing the game, people will fall in love with it, and will realize, "you know what? You can have reds and blues and a more painted look and still have a very dark, gothic feel to it all."

Periodical update: The poll is closed. I did not close it, I have no idea why it's closed. That doesn't bother me though, I like the graphics. Apparently, the global petition is here and another poll submitted by a moderator can be found here.
I've come to the conclusion that I am satisfied with the graphics (they look great during gameplay). This thread will continue to reflect peoples opinions, but as stated above, there is a thread which was created by a moderator which can be accessed here.

I just noticed there's more rain but no rainbow in that last picture. Ironic.
I'm satisfied with whatever the developers choose and couldn't stop shouting things such as "Oh my gosh!" and "Whooaaa!" as I watched the game play trailer.

Edit2: A lot of people keep stating this is pre-alpha and should be dismissed as inaccurate data. Here, they are quoted as being further along than we knew and, according to the speaker, they are intending to change the color: Stylization over realism/Don't be afraid of color.
I'm not for a complete graphic change back into Diablo 2 style... But don't you think that they could take our petition and make the game darker like in the images... I really love those images you posted... The game to what we want the game to look like...

I'm not for a complete graphic change back into Diablo 2 style... But don't you think that they could take our petition and make the game darker like in the images... I really love those images you posted... The game to what we want the game to look like...
