is it possible that Cain could be belial, lord of lies? manipulating you into killing the prime evils and taking out his compitition seems pretty damn devious. it could also explain how he's still dungeon running while he's so damn old, and possibly why he wasnt just killed in tristram with all the other people (that always bothered me.)
also, as to diablo's new form (if that is him), i have a crazy idea.
when he took over the warriors body in D2, his body changed according to his "vessel" or whatever. WHAT IF Tyrial crashed into sanctuary, and Diablo possesed his weakend and/or dead body, and became much much more powerful, seeing as Archangels are stronger(?) than humans.
btw i dont read the books or pay too much attention, so if im off, my bad.

and got the 2nd idea from that. i figured cain was a bad guy as soon as i saw he wasnt dead in D2. maybe im just the suspicious type though
