posted a message on Expansion, possibly new game in the works...
    Quote from bigworm79»

This place is full of seti type people. everything you guys keep posting is some trumped up opinion on something you have no actual proof to go on. Blizzard does so many games you never get to hear about and scraps them all the time, if you look at the YEARS it took between D2 (expansion 2001) and D3 release (2012) that should be enough to show you D4 or an expansion would not be around for YEARS. Not 1 year or 2 or 3 BUT YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEARS. stop posting bullshit , that is why they made facebook.

Why do people like you ignore the facts?

Like the story they told us at Blizzcon. To summarize the story, from 2005-2009, they had massive struggles maintaning servers for WoW, the companies cash cow, and they used every ounce of manpower they had to deliver. Thus, SC2 and D3 were delays 5+ years to make sure WoW became the hit that it is today.

Because of this, I firmly believe future Blizzard projects are going to be beyond kickass experiences.

Overwatch is the first game to come out since the company began to collect this insane amount of revenue from WoW (some of you are going to say hearthstone, but hearthstone was originally going to be an in game minigame for WoW that they expanded upon, so the game really is just an extension of WoW.)

Bottom line, the facts are that they finally have a dedicated staff again for each game, and I expect to see some pretty amazing things from Blizzard moving forward. If you thought this company was able to make kickass games before, just wait until you see what they can do with nearly 4000% more yearly revenue!!!!!

posted a message on Expansion, possibly new game in the works...

You would not hire a "Game Designer" for a simple Necromancer pack.

You hire game designers to streamline an entire project. This is absolutely either an expansion, Diablo 4, or a MASSIVE DLC pack that offers a new act, new story, new game systems, etc.....

I think people need to come to realize that the Diablo 3 engine has a lot of room for growth, so we very well could see Diablo 3 evolve into simply being called "Diablo" with constant DLC packs revamping it every 6 months or so! I personally would be all for that. It gives you something to look forward too. You are not just playing dead in the wind wondering if they will ever do anything new. Instead, you would know that two times a year you are going to get some form of content that is going to add more play-ability to the game.

We would all welcome that! And at the least, if it is not the D3 engine, I really believe the next game in the series is going to simply be called "Diablo" and will follow the model I shared in the paragraph above.

posted a message on The Paragon problem (Suggestion)
    Quote from Negator402»

Paragon complaints are mainly by those who want to compete on leaderboards, but do not want to spend the time their competitors are. There is a term for that: socialist. The part I like about this suggestion is that there are new powers to choose from. Capping it, however, is idiotic.

    Mainly, but not by all.

If you take a look at paragon mathematically, most will agree that once you get around 1,000 paragon, due to diminishing returns, the next 1,000 paragon will be a 3-5 GR level difference.

Thus paragon really is not this "end all be all" in terms of competition.

Instead, many people like myself are upset with the current system because it is dry, lazy, and lacks any sort of creative flow. I think most people on my chain of thought want every system in the game to be unique and add to diversity. Paragon really does not do this. Fixes for it are numerous, and I am not sure which direction would be the best, but it really would be nice to see a system that is focused on skills instead of just +5 main stat.

posted a message on Patch 2.4.3 RELEASE

I am not so sure you guys understood correctly what Wyatt said:

    https://youtu.be/z80DRTclTo0?t=788

they wanted to make a recipe that would allow you to RECONSTITUTE item back from the power. Not to infuse some item with different power.

Yup, and this explanation clearly has NOTHING to due with the wording of the datamined string.

The bottom line is that they said they want to add a lot more cube recipes, so I expect to get several in 2017. Potentially a game breaker as well.

Where did they say it? I heard nothing.
"Maybe" is not gonna work here. Maybe we will get a Necromancer somewhere in 2017. Maybe an expansion in 2019. Maybe diablo 4 in 2021. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.
Then watch all the interviews again, because you are clearly being selective.

You WANT TO HEAR that this game is dead, so you are doing whatever you can to make sure that happens.

At some point you need to just move on man.

posted a message on Ptr GR Density Problems
    Quote from Catdaddy12»

Being forced to skilp elites you can't kill because it would take 5 minutes without density is not good for gameplay . I'm also speaking only to high leaderboard pushing ... These GR changes will not effect ll players who run lower GR since elites and trash die quickly anyway .

The point is that people skipped 50% of maps until they found a massive density location.

That is not possible anymore, and that is a good thing. This will not affect the lowbies as you said, but it will not hurt the top end either.

Finally, you need to use skill to CREATE Density! Dev Crew, please continue to make more changes that reflect the skill of players, thanks and have a good day!!!!

posted a message on 2.4.3 New items and meta

    Quote from Aneij»

    Quote from Mirsset»

Hey guys, from what i see, the new Faithful Memory and the Barber are really good and they have strong potential.

What about other new items? Can they shake out the meta or atleast be somewhat useful?

Barber will be nerfed/fixed soon. It's just as broken as in pervious ptrs.
Faithful Memory.. I think it will either be nerfed a little or stay as it is. It's just an important buff, but it's not overpowered or broken like Spirit Barrage.
The rest of legendaries are junk. The grenade belt is pretty cool, but in "fun" area. Rabid Strike is useless, Saffron Wrap is useless,

What exactly makes the Barber overpowered/broken, and not Faithful Memory? Last I checked both had done GR100+ solo. I agree that Barber most likely will get nerfed, but if it does, and Faithful Memory stays like it is... Well that is just silly tbh

    You gotta check better.
Hammerdin did 96 before, without Faithful Memory. Now it did 103.
    +7 gr difference.
legit LON Spirit Barrage did 74 before (i did it myself ). Now it does 103. And it's not even the end.
+29 GR difference (+16 GR difference if i compare to my previous result)
    See?
And i did gr90 with broken Spirit Barrage with no augments at p1400.
With Hammerdin however i struggled a bit to do 85, so it's much much harder.

My issue with this logic being used to determine broken, is you are assuming they DO NOT WANT another build to enter the top echelon of builds.

I think that is a pretty bold and otherwise uneducated assumption.

You hinted at it, but it is more about the skill it takes to get that build 90+ than anything else in the mind of the Devs. Spirit Barrage in season would probably see a GR105 clear from that one dedicated person, but to me, you need to take the top 10+ clears with that build and average them out. Then, your hammerdin +7 looks more like +25, and the Spirit barrage looks more like +16 (assuming the average would be around 90).

In my honest opinion, both should receive at most a small 5-10% nerf. Beyond that, I THINK WE ALL WELCOME THE FACT WE HAVE OTHER OPTIONS NOW!!!!! THAT IS A GOOD THING!!!!! SO STOP ASKING FOR NERFS.

posted a message on how about friends trading?

Why can't people just accept that you can trade with your friends. It just needs to be in games played together!

Others have said it, but if you open up trading, then China bots will just flood the game selling everything through spam in trade chat. NO THANK YOU!
