Can someone just tell we why gold needs to have a purpose? It was obviousl worthless currency so players found items to use instead, I think this is being over discussed and I feel liek a lot of hte suggestions would only take away from the. I have a strong dislike for gold sinks and hate the idea of trying a weapon out and being stuck with it. I think a better solution can be found.

Games only have so much replayabilitiy I don't want D3 to be tedious because I can't get rushed nor do runs to get the items I want. Plus it's not like I ever really wanted to co op through the whole gam with a whole bunch of random people on bnet. Save rushing for when you're playing alone and playing through properly for friends.

if we go with your system......i cant trade ANY items i may have used that someone in my very own game desperately needs and is willing to trade an item I desperately need.

    that honestly sounds retarded.

This is exactly how I feel

A BoE system would help teh economy in some ways but in would hurt the game in others. Sure it will stop inflation in some ways but iyour main reason for this is becasue YOU WANT gold to be the currency in the game. My question is why shouldn't items be currency? Also items did leave the game as seeing not every single player and character who has ever played diablo is still in the game as seeign characters get deleted after a certain amount of time. And inflation will happen no matter what it's not really stoppable. I honestly do not understand why you want gold to be the currency as seeing you could never buy good items with it, the only way gold would be currency in a game like Diablo would be if gold could actually buy things which you could not get from drops. And by the way that $5 000 000 (or how ever much it was) you were talkig about would be less in some ways over time if you didn't spend it because of inflation.
