With the current technology of solid state drives being introduced and practical now, it is more likely that consoles will evolve into something more like computers, but for gaming only. This is off topic, but I will respond to this part. Watch for MB/Proc/Memory/Vid card deals. You can be surprised what you you can make do with in upgrading. About 2 weeks ago, I went to Frys Electronics and got a GOOD proc/mb deal with a separate memory deal with rebate for just BARELY over $200. I still have the same case, power supply, sound card, vid card (7800GT 256mb), and HDD's (SATA) for 3 years. It still runs everything I need it to run. Eventually the latest card now will drop to about 1/3 in price by the time D3 comes out, so you aren't as screwed as you think.

Here is another idea: One COULD make a kind of universial storage BANK or some such instead of a storeage BOX. A bank of some type could be put in some of the towns. A storage BOX probably in some way points. Gah! I'm just rambling out an Idea. IDK if it would be worth it though.

Basically there would be only PK'ers in the room because all the others left BEFORE they were PK'ed.......if the non-pk'er group was smart.
