I remember my uncle playing it and whenever i would stay at his house i would wait until he went to sleep and jump on the comp.. Hell that was what 10+ yrs ago.. He always played AoE and Diablo and sure enough i'm hooked to both... After DII got boring though i started to read the books and right now i'm pumped just to hear anything new about D3..
I'm a quarter way through The Veiled Prophet and after every chapter i just get pumped for D3 to come out... after the sin wars next would be Legacy of Blood???..
I trust D3 will kick ass... the color doesn't look all that bad... just dont want to take the WoW route.. never played WoW and i dont plan on it.. i'm just not too sure about the witchdoctor... if the witch takes the place of the necromancer then i'll be upset... but it's all too early to say right now.. i've only seen a fraction of the game
Yes it's exploitable but it's MUCH better in my eyes than FFA where items that you've earned for by fighting can be STOLEN from you. Perhaps a system which calculates how much fighting you've done and drops items accordingly would work.
I.E. If you sit at the start and do nothing, there are no drops for you. If you do 2x more fighting than other players in your party, you get 2x the drops.

i think i see what ur saying it should be whomever characters conflicts the most damage and the time spent fighting should get the greater loot.. i like that.. as apposed to someone that hits once and runs away should get..... hmmm......nothing......i would like that you can only see what the loot drops for self..
I think because they're only going to have 5, they are going to stick with the basics. Barb satisfies the warrior, Witch Doctor kind of takes over the Necromancer position.. It's too close to a Necro to have another type thats similar to it when there is only 5 choices. There has to be a ranged attacker like a Amazon/Rogue, there has been since Diablo 1. There has to be a elementalist/sorcerer/mage/warlock type class that does a lot of spells because there was been since Diablo 1. The last one could be anything which I think will be a new character that they are going to have a lot of fun with.. Maybe later they will release 2 more like they did with the Druid and Assassin as soon as they get these 5 all balanced lol..

sounds good to me.. but i'll like to see something like an Transmuter...someone that alters properties of an existing thing, creature, or condition... like turn a demon into a rock or hell even a chest.. something like that might fall under a sorcerer
