Well, since they got rid of the charms, and you know, whats the point of adding a substitute....What about if like its a rare amulet or something, where a piece of the worldstone is a gem that is part of the jewelry? I think that sounds even better than just adding charms again. Like a piece of the worldstone is used as a part of jewelry, maybe a ring or amulet and it could have like certain modifiers to it that makes it a good ring, since...well....its a part of the worldstone.

Also, is there a thread like: "Create an item name that you would want to see in game"?

I thought something actually fell out of the sky and caused that crater. There was a falling meteor in that same cinematic. To my knowledge, the Worldstone explosion really was contained inside the mountain.

I thought the meteor struck where diablo first rose in tristram or whatever causing bad omens...

Thanks for killing my dream =[ Nah just kidding. But, maybe like...I dont know....monsters in the crater took them and realized they gained power from them or something. You would then be able to find the monsters and kill them, once the monster is killed, it has a chance to drop a shattered piece. Like generals of the armies of the monsters or the super uniques. It seemed like a fairly cool concept until I thought of them stuck in a hole....

I was thinking about how they removed charms from the game and was thinking about a replacement. My idea was that the shattered remains of the Worldstone could be found throughout the game (maybe from like super enchanted monsters or something?) that kind of act like charms. You can find like 3 different sizes for them, and they could give you some king of attributes. You know, it could give a kind of lore to what happened to the pieces and then it could give a reason for super unique monsters or whatever they are called for having those certain affixes like extra fast, mana burn etc.

Although I know there isnt much of a chance of this actually appearing, I thought it would be a fun idea. What are your thoughts people?

Well, I ended up getting the video card to register so I could try to get the updates for it on the comp. All of the updates failed and I had a guy come in and check it out, we sat here for maybe 3 hours just trying to update the drivers but they all failed to update. I just took the card out and packaged it up until I decide what to do next. Thinking about saving some cash to build my own comp, what do you guys think?

Will do, also do I have to take out the old video card? Or does that piece of crap not matter after removing all the driver software?

Well, after trying to find a link to download the program, I found the red text that says its been discontinued....

I went to bestbuy the other day, talked to a geek squad guy and he recommended the one I went out and bought. Haha, sorry
this is my first time trying to change any of the hardware in this thing. Now, I think the original graphics card was integrated to the mobo, its an hp pavilion a6000n, ( i think thats what the mobo is). I went ahead and tried the website after disabling the original graphics card through the device manager but it still tries to update the original one....

Sorry for not replying earlier. Umm haha, I'm not sure which kind of motherboard I have, mind telling me how to find that. At vampiric: Do I have to take out the old graphics card? Or can I just keep it in there since the graphics cards use two different slots.

Also, I just went ahead and tried to disable the nvidia geforce 6150 se nforce 430 but after I went to the website to download a new driver, it ended up being for the 6150 se instead of my new one. What should I do? Again all help is very much appreciated!

Ahhhh...Okay, so... if you wouldnt mind answering my next question: Can I just go ahead and uninstall the old graphics drivers, and then update for this current one? What am I supposed to do? Haha, Im a nub at this stuff and its getting frustrating trying to do this blindly. Any help would be appreciated.

I went ahead and bought myself a new power supply and graphics card today hoping to play starcraft 2. My old power supply was a 300 watt piece of crap and my graphics card was a nvidia geforce 6150 se nforce 430.

The new power supply has 600 600 watts. The new graphics card is a Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 TI.

I fiddled with putting the new parts into my computer with my brother for the last 3 hours to successfully get the power supply in. Now the problem is, Im not sure if the graphics card is installed correctly, I put in the disc and installed all the drivers for it, but the only video card shown on my computer is the old one. I went ahead and tried to see if my beta settings would change if I had updated them. This is what came up, can anyone explain to me what happened?

I am a firm believer than anyone who chooses Scorpion in MK9 takes it up the fucking ass. They're spammers, spearing incessantly, and that's about it.

First, I love you for saying this. I have a friend who just fucking uses scorpion because that is the only character he can use effectively. He just blocks and waits for you to attack and fuck up. Then he'll fucking use that chain, burn you and then x-ray. When he can't get his way he fucking spams his teleport bullshit. I personally use sub-zero the most, and whenever I hand his ass to himself when he's not using scorpion, he uses scorpion next. It drives me insane.

Also, Kano is the biggest bitch, you just roll the joystick at the direction of the other player and he'll do his fucking flying combat roll straight at you. It's like the easiest way to win if the other player is an idiot and doesn't block.

Good lord people! Why are so many of you so opposed to change? You know, in an evolutionary sense, you would be the ones to die off first because you can't adapt to dynamic environments. ALSO, D3 isn't a MMORPG, and if you think it is, you clearly don't understand the definition thereof.

    Thank you!
You know, the more the information came out, the more I realized that this is the true evolution of the Diablo series. This is a step in the right direction, and I'm loving it all the way.
I'm curious though, were people also freaking out this much when Blizzard announced back in the day that D2 will be using skill trees and not spell books. I would say definitely.

And people referring to this as an MMORPG is laughable. I mean, it's running on four player 'instancing' and has small arena style PvP. Where exactly is the MMO part in all of this. Just because it's online doesn't mean it's an MMO.

Also, the things is, whether or not these people like the changes, they will end up buying the game. If they dont end up buying it, they will either play at a friends house, and even if that doesn't happen, why are you making posts anyways? If you hate the changes so much to cause you not to play, then why are you even posting on the forums, nobody wants to hear it. It's even worse on the official d3 forums, just thread after thread about how people wont buy the game. To those people: I'm glad you're not going to play if you are going to nag so much. It's not like they wont go ahead and change anything after the release if it ends up being crap. I trust them to make an awesome game, and if you don't, please don't make these threads, they are a waste of energy for everyone.

There is offline single player, calm down about it

Also, Idk when WoW got a real cash auction house, yeah, they both have auction houses, but itll probably work out well anyways, stop complaining about it. The auction house in general will probably help us anyways. For me, it was really hard to make a trade game in d2 to find the item I needed because the chances of someone having that rare item I needed (deaths web) and joining my trade game was really low. With the auction house system, it may be easier to get what I need, and who knows, maybe if I find something nice, I can sell it for real money and wont have to spend an actual dime on gear.

The modding, Im not too sad about, I did try out Eastern Sun, but I couldn't get into it, but well, to all his own.

posted a message on + Official PC Builds Discussion Thread + (Reroute all "will my computer run this?" questions HERE)
Hey guys, I've been dying to play starcraft 2 since its release, I pre-ordered it and got to try out the beta, I realized my PC couldn't handle it because my PC is literal crap. Since I'm a young one, I don't have much chance to get a job to make my own money, but my birthday has recently passed and I have a budget of around 400-500 dollars to spend because my family wouldn't say no to me saying I didn't want anything. I thought I'd go ahead and try to at least get this cruddy computer to play Starcraft 2 at the lowest settings possible hopefully with my crappy computer after I've upgraded it.
I'm not very computer hardware savvy at all, so I was wondering if anyone would recommend what I should upgrade from the list I will put up of the specs for this crap.

This is from the beta-opt thingy on battle.net:
    OPERATING SYSTEM:
    Windows 2.6.0.6002 (Service Pack 2)

    CPU TYPE:
    AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200

    CPU SPEED (GHZ):
    2.22

    SYSTEM MEMORY (GB):
    2.87

    VIDEO CARD MODEL:
    NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

    VIDEO CARD DRIVER:
    nvd3dum.dll

    DESKTOP RESOLUTION:
    1680x1050

    HARD DISK SIZE (GB):
    225.21

    HARD DISK FREE SPACE (GB):
    56.63

Any help is appreciated, and tell me if there is anymore specifications you need for the people who might want to help this little computer nublet out. Again, thanks for all the help to anyone who helps =]
