posted a message on Was Baal's Soulstone destroyed?
I recently played through Diablo 2 to the end of Act 5 Normal, and I thought about something: you defeat Baal at the end, but his Soulstone is never destroyed at Hellforge. Was his Soulstone connected to the Worldstone, or was it destroyed in one of the books (I never took time to read them)? What happened to Baal's Soulstone?

I'm still gonna say its not him, Its not like diablo to yell like that, diablo has always been silent and usually tries to distence himself from people letting his minions do the work.

Could be diablos offspring or something.

In the gameplay video, Leah is Cain's nurse (I think the video calls her a house maid) so if thats the case then she isn't related to him. She is just keeping care of him.

Yeah. He is annoyed when the Barbarian mentions her, and he refers to her as a 'nursemaid.'

Anyway, those are some cool screenshots... the Mistress of Pain is very familliar looking.

isnt WoW and Gw like d2? all rpgs like this relate so who cares lol not like i even know what that game is so psh....

but yea i think for classes that dont have teleport or somethin it could be usful to help run threw a group of monsters that they wont be able to take on (such as being able to escape from those damn souls in baals throne in d2) idk just an idea lol

Dude... Diablo 2 is... nothing like WoW or GW...

Furthermore, mounts... don't sound like a good idea to me. In an open world, they work, but you just don't need it in Diablo games. The world is small, which is why there are hundreds of games instead of servers.

It's not like we're getting a different genre, like top-down Diablo turned into ES4: Oblivion, it's going to be extremely similar, aside from the graphics and story etc. It IS a sequel, you know.

Ironically, even though the game play is very "consolised"
but graphics - wise I find this game much more Diabl - esque
In fact, more so than the Actual Diablo 3, which decidedly
toook a low - poly cartoony crap approach.

    ...

You have got to be kidding me. Let it die, guys... the art direction is fine, you should be glad you're getting D3.

Hi... I'm trying to play on the USEast server, but I can't connect. I'll click it a few times, either nothing will happen or a message saying I can't connect to B.Net will appear. Sometimes when I click it it will randomly freeze and I have to start over. I can play on USWest perfectly, but not on USEast. Does anybody know what the problem might be?

Good God. Can we not just let this be? We are GETTING Diablo 3. Feel freaking lucky? Complaining about something like this? Come on! Instead of making petitions and topics about the art style, we should make a petition or topic SOLELY based on thanking Blizzard. Good Lord.

posted a message on Please, Blizzard, let there be a monthly fee.
    Quote from "Murderotica" »
I been lurcking around this forum for about a week and finally registered. I just wanted to add my thoughts in about this. Read before you flame please.

There are many reasons I would like there to be a monthly fee, or at least wouldn't mind it.

    1. Keep the kiddies out. I am tired of 14 year old punks ruining my gaming experience. With a monthly fee, that is payable by credit card not game card, it would get rid of a lot of immaturity and would result in a better game. The game is rated M for a reason. Go watch your bob the builder and leave the gaming to the adults, thanks.

    2. If blizzard plans to regularly update this game like wow, then I don't mind one bit paying for the content. It would give extra money to blizz for new enhancements and whatnot. We were all complaining about how d2 hardly ever got updated. Well, why should they when they have no reason incentive to. Added levels, bosses, items, bug fixes, and world events is way worth the cost to me.

There are many other reason however those are the main two.

Also, something else i thought of. Let say they start out with a fee of 5-10 dollars a month. Thats cheap as hell. However, every time you are caught using a hack, cheat, or exploit they raise that price 5 dollars. It would be a incentive not to cheat because it would start effecting the wallet.

Lastly, to the people who say they they cant afford a monthly payment. Honestly, if you cant afford 15 bucks max a month then you really need to get a better job or something and not play games. Im sorry, but if you are struggling to pay that small ammount of money you have other issues.
Bring your lunch to work 3 days a MONTH and save that money.
Dont spend 19 bucks at the movies and have that money.
Dont buy a case of beer and you can have the money.
If you are responsible with it you can easily find extra money.

Well thats my two cents, flame on.

Well, I happen to be 14, and if you ask most of the people that know me, they'll say I'm certainly not a punk and that I am quite capable of being a mature, rational person and gamer. It may be an M-rated game, but that doesn't mean children CAN'T play it. The m-rating is a warning for parents and nothing more. If you don't like 14-year-olds in your online games, then quit. There will always be annoying people, be them 14, 28, 56, and upwards, if there are gamers that old. Deal with it and stop whining.
