What I would really like is to receive a cd-key to the beta test...
I remember the D2 Stress Test... we could only go until Blood Raven...
There was the ladder already... Lvl 20 max from what I can remenber...
Imagine getting lvl 20 on blood raven...
It was really nice...
Perfect Gems were really rare...
I don't think much about where it will be released.. I just hope it is soon..
But I would really enjoy participating the beta test!

Jul 2, 2008privat posted a message on Diablo 3 Items and InventoryPosted in: NewsQuote from "sonicpld" »this is the problem that you should solve , and the fun is in the solving itself, becouse - every single person solve this problem different than others - which make really interesting universe of diablo.
anyway - as much you play and think about possible ways for solving one or another problem , as much it becomes more interesting the game itself.
There should be upgrades and runewords, upgrading runewords, failing of upgrades, runewords sets of armor and weapons, gem sets ( like - when you got all on you with some gem set - you start to shine in alot diferent colors ), set of armors, eceptional sets - special sets, and so on ...
GAME ITSELF MUST BE RATED FOR 16+ YEARS !
Well,
I just hope they will bring an original content which I will spend more time solving more interesting issues on the game than how I am going to arrange my items on the Inv...
I don't think making the player loose 5 mins arranging items for every 15 mins farming is a good way to attract players to the game...

Jul 1, 2008privat posted a message on Diablo 3 Items and InventoryI really don't understand why people hate WoW.Posted in: News
To develop WoW, blizzard used lots of things they learned from Diablo.
Sockets for example.
We didn't have socketed items in WoW until the release of Expansion.
Lots of skills and talents where imported from Diablo as well...
They even improved this in WoW... Now you can replace a gem into the socket, and loose the old gem...
In Diablo, once we have gemmed an item, It couldn't be removed...
They developed a much better way to place the items on an inventory in WoW that it was in Diablo... So, it is fair that we, Diablo fans, can have this too...
It is not bad, and won't change our feeling on playing Diablo...
We can even use more solutions from WoW...
To Unlearn skills and stats for example...
I play Diablo for a long time... Diablo 2 since beta stress test...
I've created more than 30 lvl 80+ chars... Just because I had new ideas for talents and skills... Or because I was lvling a sword barbarian and then I found a much better mace...
I had to make a new char, because I'd have wasted points in dex...
Other thing they could do is a Bank of items for an account... So you could deposit an item there and log in into a new char to pick up the item...
Or maybe a mail system... So we could send items/messages/gold for another player or char, even if they are not online...
We could have mounts on the game...
We could have professions... We could be able to enchant our items...
As for those who said that Unique items are better than rare, is because you are too new to the game...
In the beginning of Diablo2, much b4 LoD, we didn't have exceptional item Uniques... Only regular
For example: Great Sword, Executioner Sword... (Later on LoD, they release a category over the exceptional items)
We only had Great Sword Unique, So... The executioner Rare items were much better...
Much of those rare items found on Diablo2 (Classic) were duped and migrated to LoD and some are still the best on game...
We still have some very good unique items that were the best for some classes because they have UNIQUE stats that would only be possible on that item...
Like Silks of Victor that was an ancient plate with really high def and +1 skill...
What happened is that on LoD, they ruined this item system and decided to release a new over-exceptional class items and to give unique versions to all of them... This way, the unique item became much better than rare... But you still can make some rune-based items, better than uniques...
This new item system brought a problem, everyone was looking alike...
I, personally, don't like it and would rather the rare random stats items to be better than others... But Blizzard has to find a way to unable ppl to dupe, or it won't change anything...
We don't have to worry about D3 being too similar to WoW...
They are trying to reach another piece of the market with Diablo3.. (Same they reached with other Diablo games)...
They won't make a game to fight against their own game... Since wow is leading the MMO market and doesn't seem to have any problems on it...
BTW... Diablo will not be an MMO and they will release a new expansion for WoW...
So... We won't have a WoW 2.0... They are still working on WoW 3.0 (Wotlk)... D3 is a new project
That's all...
I am a really old school player and I can say that I loved everything I've heard and read about Diablo3...
I trust Blizzard skills and I am sure they will hear their customer oppinions and make what is best for the game.
I can't wait for Diablo3...

I am sure I am not included on that counts...
None of them...
I am not taking part of any sides of this discussion...
The only thing that you guys are not considering is that when Diablo 2 was released (2000) we didn't have all the advance in tech. we have today...
I can say that Diablo 1 and 2 were the best games i've ever played... And I wouldn't change anything on any of them...
But I just wouldn't play a Diablo 2 with new contents...
I really want improvements on the game... On gfx, gameplay and everything else...
But on Diablo mood...
I signed the petition... I would like to see the game less WCish... But I doubt that will change anything... Anyway.. I signed..
On the other hand... I don't think the game will suck if it is realeased like this... It will be the same... I will be playing Diablo 3... And there are lot of things that attracts me on the game, other than it's rustic gfx...
Thats it...
BTW... If you want to be taken serious... Stop acting childish and insulting everyone...
What you will get from this? The topics are going to be deleted...
I hope the game ends up as I want... But I trust blizzard, whatever they come up with...
You can say anything you want... But I've never seen any game better than Blizzards... That is not lucky...
You can say whatever you want from SC2 and D3... But it will be only supositions... The games are under development...
Enough right?
Cya!

So you obviously think YOU (alone) with all of your ideas, is considering something that THEY (ALL DEVELOPMENT TEAM... SOME OF THE BEST ON THIS...) forgot to, right?
You can apply on their site...
Good Luck!
