    First!!

LoL i'm too shy for some of these contests, and no way i would dress myself like a character, honestly i think that is dumb.

Well, in every Blizzard gamer there is a level of 'geekness'. Here, this graph illustrates the levels of geekness.

    0---1---2---3---4---5...

0: Knowing Blizzard or their pruducts
    1: Playing Blizzard product(s)
2: In this level you are considered a 'fan' of Blizzard's product(s) by liking/playing alot.
3: Doing anything related to Blizzard product's beyond playing (fan art, forum discussion etc.)
4: Buying overpriced action figures, books, posters or T-shirts related to Blizzard product(s)
5: Attaining BlizzCon and embarrassing yourself by wearing exaggerated costumes, dancing and singing about Blizzard products.

I'd put you in level 3 unless you buy stuff, then you're 4 ^^

I don't understand something... How come that the statue is up for public sale? How come there are enough statues to anyone who orders? If it was hand made by an artist... how can the 'artist' make enough statues for everyone? If he gets 500 orders, he will have to sculp 500 statues. Can someone explain please? :/

Yeah! cool :) Sound is very very important in the game. When I played Titan Quest (Diablo clone), I always turned off the game sound and just played some Metal becuase the sound was so poorly done and not interesting, I had no reason to active it. I never did anything like that with Diablo 2, so go Blizzard!

Oh sorry, I should have phrased it differently. I mean, they will both look unlike what we saw in the gameplay trailer.

    Nice post.

Even better is your signature though.

What happened to the old one? :D

    Thank you very much :)

:offtopic: Oh, you mean the Jay Kratos one? I took it off... it just didn't feel right to reply what he's saying and make a mockery of him at the same time, although it's all fun and games ^^ I'm photoshoping some more Diablo III stuff so I might post them all at once soon.

Anyway in order not to make this completely off topic, I just realized that the monster health bar really helps indicating wether you're targeting it or not (I say that from experience from other games. Trust me, it helps). There was no targeting problems in boss fights because they were all so big it was easy to target them... but when fighting normal sized bosses you can sometimes miss a click! :o

Heed my words. I bet a 100$ that the health bars will NOT stay the same for both bosses and monsters.

Awww... no more stealing loot? No more PK'ing? Diablo 3 is offically a goody-goody game... because ruining for others is a no-no. Well, no biggy, actually I knew this would happen.

I'd say that the main reason for placing Health Bars right above monsters is really to keep the player's attention in where the battle takes place. What I mean is that sometimes people use to stare the health bars and watch them get shorter instead of paying attention to the actual fight... so they said "Okay, if all the attention is on the health bar, we'll bring the health bar to the battlefield" and as for the boss fights, keep the bars at the top because a tall monster will likely have it's health bar beyond the screen and we have to let the player see it all the time... plus they won't vanish if you don't have your cursor on the boss to make it visible even if some of your actions don't involve clicking the boss. I think health bars above regular monsters is no big deal... maybe have them less intense... half transparent and smaller.

Nicey. I didn't play anything there except Titan Quest: Immortal Throne which is by the way a pretty good time killer, really is a Diablo 2 clone. Act 2 = desert, Act 3 = forests, there's even a quest where you need to find a Jade Figurine :P but it's still an awesome game gameplay-wise and pretty much expands Diablo 2 in a way with a completely different class system, I would advice to give it a try.

posted a message on Diablo 3 is not enough colorful!
As you probably know, many Diablo fans wanted and suggested new Art Direction for Diablo 3 because it was not enough dark, gothic, scary, gorey and realistic.

Not only that Blizzard denied the fans, but also decided to make Diablo 3, even more colorful!!!

    http://img398.imageshack.us/img398/6234/colorssskw8.jpg

    - More intense colors to make the game cheerful and friendly!
    - Brighter environment because darkness is scary! D':
    - More flowers to make the plants look less dead... we want them full of life!
    - Monsters will now wear festive items to make them look more friendly :-) we don't wanna scare the kiddies!
    - Weapons are too violent!!! Your character will now hold candies.

Have a sweet and cheerful gaming! :) with love and hugs - Blizzard Entertainment.

    Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

posted a message on Gheed - a returning character?
    Quote from "BrutalBarbarian" »
So many NPC's have great story potential: Fara the Paladin(The redhead from Act 2), Gheed the Greedy Guy, Kashya the Rogue, Geglash the drunk guy.

You know what would be hell of awesome tho? If Blizzard commisioned a well done and damned MANLY manga of the sagas of Blood Raven, The Summoner, and The Wanderer. Or i they did a short story anthology telling tales about various armor sets and NPC's.

There are so many great characters in Diablo I just wanna see MOAR of, you know?

I totally agree with everything you said.

Diablo 3 is an opportunity to expand those characters and the world of Sanctuary in general... oh and thanks oren and Djinn :) Photoshoped it myself! ^^

posted a message on Gheed - a returning character?
Well... it seems that the most rememberable characters are those from Act 1. Probably because that's where people spend most of their time in Battle.net; dueling, trading, muling... There were some really nice characters in other acts too, like Alkor or... Asheara (OMG! A half naked chick with snake on her neck!). Still, Gheed is awesome... if it won't be him in D3, we should at least have another greedy fellow.
