because he was in the body of the wanderer.
By the end of Act 3 he had fully metamorphisized into his true form. Whereas Albrecht was an inferior host who limited him, the point of baiting in and possessing the Wanderer was to have a host who would survive a transformation to unleash his full potential.

posted a message on How Do You Think Diablo Will Return?
    1. The reason Tyrael destroyed the corrupted Worldstone was to:
    a. Force the Heavens to intercept the forces of the Burning Hells and buy Sanctuary time. Hence the 20 year period of the armies of Hell not bulldozing in.
    b. Allow the Nephalem(humans) to begin regaining power to more adequately defend themselves. If you want a spoiler, Leah may be one of the first with said power.

    2. The cultists found in the game seem to be worshippers of Diablo. They may be trying to manifest his essence from the abyss, which would partially explain the arcane artifacts 'Teeth of Diablo' that corrupted humans display sticking out of their backs.

Tyrael sacrificed his rank to give Sanctuary a chance to become what their legacy bids them, as the Worldstone was created to limit human potential and make them subservient.

i agree, it probably just diablo in some new form or design. i mean we killed him twice, maybe he went and upgraded himself?

and those shoulder-mouths dont look like a bull and whatever azmodan was supposed to have, but he still might be in the game itself.
I doubt Blizzard would be stupid enough to pull a Meta-Ridley/Giga Bowser move with Diablo.

They confirmed this back at the WWI I believe. They mentioned a higher ability to manage games and such, and I think they may have directly mentioned being able to kick people. Can't remember all the details.

Is it just me, or would a "Games for Windows"-Badge be worse than 10 rainbows? :D
A 'Games for Windows' badge would crush any potential of me buying the game.

Really, you have to consider which evil you want to side with. The demons of the Burning Hells are a purely destructive and chaotic force by nature, yet the angelic beings of the High Heavens are really no better in that everything depends upon a sort of upheld order. You have amorphous horror against the clockwork mundane.

    Just a little thingy:
Baal was in the Tal Rasha's body, but he corrupted him and after he gained the soulstone, he had his true form (Mt.Arreat)
Mephisto was in SANKEKUR's body (why didn't someone notice that? Or am I wrong?) but he seems no more human to me at the "meeting". But he dropped the soulstone as we "killed" him, so he had it too...
Diablo was in the "nameless hero" body and with the soulstone and at the right time he gained his true form too (Meph said that)
    - that's just what I think...

Oh, and if it's nowhere there written:
"In the end, however, they were overcome by the Horned Death led by the traitors Azmodan and Belial"
    - could the thing in trailer (yes, I think it's Belial, but...) be the "Horned Death? Or what is it? I haven't read the book :(
According to Elfen Lied, 'Horned Death' is just a term for the armies of Hell.

Diablo had better be a size by which someone could easily spoon with him on a warm summer night/cold winter night by the firelight, or my fanfic ideas are ruined. :(

Those cultists seem to be trying to resurrect him via allowing themselves to be used as vessels for demonic possession by attuning themselves with shards of Diablo's soulstone or some other device that allows a demonic essence to jump from the abyss into a human body. That's what the 'Teeth of Diablo' displayed in the concept art may be.

Since someone brought up a centauric design, I couldn't help but think back to the thread when art searching and finding this:

It isn't related to Diablo 3, but was something cool found on the 'centauric' topic. From: http://nativenaive.blogspot.com/2007/05/well-i-went-fishing-yesterday-and-i.html

Edit: Also, I have to link this: http://bp3.blogger.com/_hrmDLjPjaPk/R2iMd6FOK5I/AAAAAAAAAEY/MxWVm3AAHIw/s1600/GoatLoard-03.jpg

    Diablo: The Calling
Diablo: The Calling tells the story of Marius, a one-time follower of the ancient religious sect of the Horadrim. He is held in a medieval insane asylum, where he is visited by a mysterious, cloaked figure. Believing the visitor to be the arch-angel Tyreal, a mixture of delusions and hazed memories unfold as the troubled Marius recounts how an unbridled terror is unleashed upon the whole of mankind.

Maybe make general inventory Tetris and make a Universal Stash with slots for greater capacity? Would everyone be happy then? Personally, I don't even really like Tetris, but I understand what people are saying.
