Oct 11, 2008Grimhound posted a message on Character Stat AssigningI am so... so happy that Diablo 3 is going to be different from 2 in at least this sense. Cookie-cutting ruined D2 for me. ;-;Posted in: News

People were probably sending him and his family death threats. It's really sad to think about how insane some 'fans' are when it comes to games. Being a fan doesn't mean you have to be a fanatic.Quote from "Dvirus55" »Hes nuts, why wouldn't he wait until after Diablo 3 is finished and be able to say he worked on Diablo 3 and is swimming in cash? ;/ -
Aug 7, 2008Grimhound posted a message on Diablo 3 Art Director ResignsPosted in: NewsRegarding Brian, he recently resigned to form a startup company "outside the game industry", which is why we posted about the open position. That change won't impact the game...we're really pleased with the look and feel that Brian helped create for Diablo III, and the new person we bring aboard will work with other artists on the team to maintain the art style moving forward.

The entire structure is an upturned sword.

I'm also not appreciating how they seem to be taking the 'waves of hulking enemies' approach in Diablo 3. While I understand it's a staple, I prefer the bigger enemies to have more of a pronounced role rather than just being corpse fodder. I'd prefer battles in Diablo 3 to be more like wading through the unrelenting swarms of the undead bastioned by hulking goliaths rather than to be something appearing in the same limited scope as Baldur's Gate or previous entries where tech limited the amount of enemies you could fight at one time.
Also: Needs alternative model features for variety. The same crap to infinity is sub-par.

-There is no evidence stating that Deckard Cain was ever actually a member of the Horadric Order. The majority of his beliefs to being the 'last' of the Horadrim was due to his mother's tales.
-Marius, the man who acted as a companion to The Wanderer in Diablo 2, was stated by Blizzard to have been an actual former member of the Horadrim.
-Deckard Cain's journal puts an aura of mystery around Adria via bringing up that she knew even more than he did on matters arcane, and brought up that she was able to procure rather unique artifacts. It might be hinting that Adria may've been a member of the standing Horadric Order.

Rainbows are all part of some government conspiracy of unknown intent. What are the fiends in Washington planning, and why is Blizzard working for them?! v_V
Is this all some grand scheme of the Illuminati, or are those controlling Hollywood responsible?
