posted a message on Its going to be a Ranger of sorts, and heres why...
There is no question of a character with at least one tree primarily dedicated to using ranged weapons. As evidence, look at all the Blizz replies to suggestions such as druids, etc: they say they want 5 core classes, and nontraditional non-core classes are expansion material. The only fantasy archetype we're really missing is the ranger.

    ....will the nightmare and hell difficulties(if they keep those names) offer more thing like... bigger randomized dungeon;

I really hope they DON'T expand the size of the dungeons. I play D2 because I don't have time to play WoW, where you need to devote upwards of an hour to run a single instance in hope of getting a single item. In D2 I can do all sorts of shit in an hour.

    Question:
    On cooperative and competitive multiplayer:
Do they have any plans for a horde mode//Nazi Zombie type survival mode?
Do they have any plans for instanced battle grounds?
Do they have any plans for supporting tournaments? (like in WC3)

    I
I don't understand what you're saying, that when you join you have no idea what's going on... Why? I mean, it's exactly the same as Dota, except the start of the game, where you choose your hero and your 2 bonus spells.

Well I made the comment after my first 1 or 2 games, when I didn't know what all the interface buttons did (Recall, for example) and I didn't know who the heroes were. So my my perspective, it was like a maelstrom of different particle effects and random units running around.

I still don't fully grasp all the different stats. I don't know if all those stats are different. Like ability power and stuff like that.

My issue with the game now is that while all those different stats are confusing, actually playing it might be a little too noob friendly. I played a game as Melaphite or whatever -- the rock dude, and all I did was charge into some one, push all my buttons, and collect my gold. My experience with the game so far is that if you walk up to someone, roll your face on the keyboard, then you generally will kill them.

Whereas in DotA, I felt like when and where and how to use your spells was more important.

I mean... it's kind of relevant:

Anyone here playing League of Legends?

I'm a big DotA player -- been playing since the imbalanced and various version pre-Allstars. I hadn't even heard of LoL until the article came out...

My reactions is... meh. Much more noob friendly, which is good. On the other hand, I join games and have no idea what the hell is going on. Lots of pretty lights too.

Many believed The Ranger-Class would be implemented next , but who would've guessed it would be The "Texas" Ranger?

I would like to see some sort of Van Helsing type hunter.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Van_Helsing_(film))

The old tracker/ranger/hunter in the woods with a pet doggie and a green cape is way played out.

I want some sort of wandering, vagabond badass with a 5-O'clock shadow. He should play like a combination of Wesley Snipes and Hugh Jackman. And he should specialize in nailing demons from across the screen, sneaking up, and slicing their asses into 4 pieces.

    IMHO.

For the sake of the thread, make him the more badass brother of Ogden, and he's out to slice an ass in 4 pieces for his dead brother/town.

    First of all, hey all.

Second of all: If they make it so you can only get drops from a party member killing something, and you have the power to kick people from your party or not invite them, then how could they still leach from you?

Right now it seems like in Diablo II Leaching works because you can still grab the item regardless of whether or not you are in the party.

But if you cannot receive item drops from monsters killed by non-party members, then I would imagine that the leaching problem should disappear.
