For all the people complaining about the constant trips back to town in D2 to pawn stuff every 5 minutes, stop picking up everything you see. Be discerning, know what might be valuable for pawning. Look for the items that are worth a couple hundred/thousands gold and get those; forget about the 150 gold grey crap items. There's gold on the ground too, remember.
Diablo is a lot more fun if you learn to work with the inventory system instead of viewing it as a drag.
And the fact remains that the 'tetris system' is a staple of the Diablo franchise, and while some modifications can, and probably should, be made it, such as stackable potions, gems, etc., you can't completely remove the 'Tetris' without removing part of Diablo's soul.
That being said, it is a new game and evolution must take place. Though I find the tetris style to be fun.

If they continue like they are doing right now, then yes, D3 will equal hack and slash WoW.
How can you say this? We’ve seen barely anything of the game. What you said above is irrational and based on pure preconceived (maybe biased?) notions about both World of Warcraft and Diablo.

. Sure it might be unrealistic and it will definetly change the game, but in the end it interfered with the gameplay.
No, it was as much a part of the game play as the killing was. IMO it gave items a much higher value because you had to pick and choose which items to pick up and pawn (if you are smart about it).
Just figured I'd give a formal hello to y'all. I'm a pretty big fan of the Diablo lore, currently reading book 3 of the Sin Wars, etc etc etc.
I have a present for whoever reads this, buy/torrent Nox Arcanas' album "Necronomicon" and listen to it while play D2/LoD. Makes for an interesting experience, though the album, to me, is a bit more sinister than D2/LoD.
I believe that with such advanced in magic in the Diablo universe, it sort of rules out advanced technology, eg: guns. The same way that in our real world we have advanced technology, but magic not so much (debatable). For further reference watch all of Full Metal Alchemist.
I'm not entirely opposed to the notion of guns in D3, though I don't know if Blizzard would be able to pull it off well and still keep the balance. It's not like they'd throw in a AK-47 or Barret .50 cal, if anything the most advanced gun would be something like a blunderbuss.
I'd say I've spent 4 to 6 hours reading about and watching the vids of D3. That's only because I'm trying not to get to excited, since the game is probably a year or more away. No use in suffering the wait all the longer XD.
If, and that's a big if, Blizz did throw in BoE's, they better be linked to an account, not a specific toon. Same with BoP's, but I hope they don't use BoP.
Mephisto is not red-colored (well we didnt actually see his "true" form" like diablo's) so my guess is it's diablo that's back and is more powerful than ever. And you also said he looked pretty pissed, duh what demon cant roar and look like he's about to go on a mad rampage.
Well, Diablos' 'true form' has been pretty well established from D1 and D2, and though we only say the face and/or shoulder of that demon, to me it seems to diverge from Diablo enough to rend any physical link between the two.
As for the second part, demons that can't make jokes, as I attempted to do
I only see 1 head, with an additional mouth on each shoulder. When I first watched the cinematic trailer the first thing I associated that demon with was Mephisto, and I stick by that. To me, that's just what I'd imagine Mephistos true form to look like.
Besides, Meph is the Lord of Hatred, and that demon looked pretty pissed
Lucky Strike filters are my favorites, but I will and enjoy smoking Marb Reds, Camel Reds, Pall Mall (filter), Marb Lights. I like me some Black 'n Milds and Backwoods too.
I don't mind the art direction as it is, but I do think it could be a bit more sinister. Either way, I trust Blizzard enough to believe they won't screw it up. They've given us so many flawless (debatably) games, I think more people ought to trust them more.
Honestly, I think everyone is making to much of Mr. Hazir. I think he's just a device Blizzard is using to explain things about D3 to us. There's really nothing I've seen to suggest otherwise.
If we do see him in game my bet is that we'll either rescue him and he'll consult with Cain, or he'll be a corpse.
Besides. Abd al-Hazir, as mentioned before, sounds to much like Lovecraft's Abdul Alhazred. Maybe we'll get to see al-Hazir ripped apart by invisible demons :D.
