    Hello!

    I am in the need of a 2-socket (grey/normal) medium/high level body armor (def 350 +).

I don't know what that is worth. I have the following stuff to offer: Hexfire, Bloodletter, Todesfaelle Flamme, Chance Guards, Venom Grip and a rare club which does approx. 70 to 130 in damage.

I also have a couple of resistance jewels; 30% poison, 30% cold. I also have an assassin amulet with 2 to martial arts or shadow mastery (don't remember which).

    I'm on Europe softcore ladder.

    Cheers!

I thought summoning was the coolest thing ever so of course I had shit loads of skill points in all sorts of skeletons and golems. Who needs curses?

    A summoner... Iron Maiden.

I voted for Paladin by the way.

What happens if a rare weapon is socketed and inserted with a jewel? Does that go away when you upgrade, or will the jewel follow the upgrade?

    Thanks in advance!

    Then we agree! ^_^

I guess that was all I had to contribute with in this thread...

Just to remind everyone a lot of people dont mind the colors its just where the colors are placed. We dont want all the colors removed we just want a grittier atmosphere. Like hunter-Wolfs post he pretty makes us sound like we want no color in the game. You people need to really read out posts and understand we like color just not where it is. There is a certain lack of atmosphere where they are placed.

    No worries! ^_^

I'm a very "balanced" guy, and hear arguments from both sides. I also agree to a certain extent with both sides here. I just wanted to give him some credit for the effort he had put in his post there.

In general, I feel that the original coloration (or what I should call it) by Blizzard seems more blurry and "pale" and not so crisp and clear as some of the remakes. Contrast seems higher in those remakes, which I prefer. But in general, I'm not sure if I agree that Blizzard has missed completely with the mood/atmosphere in this game.

Some imporvements can certainly be made, but some of the petition-signers, sounds very fanatic and "in the clouds" when they make it sound like the game has some kind of teletubby feel to it. If I hadn't seen the gameplay video or any screenshots, and I was to believe them, I would have thought this game looked like a game made for Nintendo with Kirby, Jigglypuff, Pikachu, adn the whole lot included...:P

This has got to be one of the best posts I've seen on these forums since the unveiling of d3, my hat goes off to you for actually putting in the effort to say what so many people wanted to.

    Seconded.

I might, or might not agree with everything he says, but that's irrelevant. He has taken the time to argue for his views, and that very thoroughly too!

    Good work, Hunter-Wolf! :)

no, look at the very bottom about the FAN FEEDBACK. Wow you really have no clue at all? Learn to read before trying to troll. Once again, READ IT then come back in here looking like a moron because you didn't read it all.

I think you'd be wise to quote the post you are answering when calling someone a moron. Your post is right below mine, and if I had a short fuse (and didn't understand that it wasn't me you were adressing), I might have gotten offended by your post.

    Cheers! :)

I think he (Keith Lee) has a good point there, on the fact that you are in different places, which have different atmospheres. If we take Diablo II, on Act II, the feel is not particulary dark except in the Arcane Sanctuary.

Personally, I think the feel is dark enough within the Tristram Cathedral (as seen in the gameplay video) even though not everything is in different shades of grey.

yes, the people who want a true sequel such as myself and the people who dont want diablo to stay with its roots and have rainbows, pastel colors, and oversized armor...end of story.

He was asking if the Diablo fan-communty had become divided - not asking for one party's downgrading view on the other party...

I think rofflewoffles put it more "objectively".

    - One group are sceptical about the game's coloration based on the gameplay video and screenshots provide so far.

    - The other group don't care so much about the details of this issue, but rather trust Blizzard's decisions and abilities to make a great game.

    - There might also be a third group - those who want to see an evolution in the Diablo series, and thus welcoming the more WoW-ish look of the new game.

Not nessesarily Shout but definatly Battle Orders.

Yep, as pointed out. :) Before the added bonuses from other skills, I prefered Iron Skin over shout, but due to the added bonuses for both skills (Shout adds bonus to Battle Orders, and vice versa), I now rather put my points in Shout (unless playing a berserker off course, but then both mentioned skills are ruled out).

Anyhow, I would be sad if there were to be no Barbarian growls which enhanced his performance in this new game.

    I thought they were useless.

I always thought it was (excuse my manners) stupid not to put skill points in Shout (defense bonus), and especially Battle Orders (increased stamina/life/mana) when playing Barbarian. No matter what Combat Skills my barbarian specialised in, those two warcries were (and still are) an absolute must.

So, do you think there will be 3 skillcategories for each class, as in Diablo 2? If so, do you think one of the Barbarian ones would be "Warcries"? I was very satisified with those skills, and hope they won't change them too much.

I remember my little brother were very quick to recognize this fantastic "feature". I guess he was just 12 years or so, when he first started quoting The Smith all the time, both when playing and when not playing. :D
