Quote fromSo Blizzard is looking for an art director, how does that affect the release day?
Its not so much that the specific job leads me to believe there is a lot of work still to do, but the fact that they're still figuring things out, and we all know that new hires takes some time no matter how far up the corporate ladder. Looking for a fresh set of eyes, especially to lead, could result in major changes which take time.
I have my fingers crosses that they're just adding and adding people to get things done quicker.

I quit WoW about a year ago. I loved the mage class, but class imbalance is a huge issue in that game.

That is an interesting idea for using gold.
Respectively, do you think your example of 20k would be somewhat difficult to obtain that amount, or 20k like in D2 where it was the sell price of one rare?
Maybe they could even split BoE to be a system like you mentioned where some could be unbound for a price to say Charsi. Maybe other "priceless" items (I just read your post in another thread) would actually be bound to your soul (I know... WoW reference) and you couldn't pay to unbind them.
I suppose unbindable items at a cost doesn't warrant a need for respecs, but I'd still like to see them.

I'm all for BoE, under one condition. D3 needs to have a respec system because imagine having all those awesome items bound to you, and then... a patch hits making a bunch of your old skills seemingly useless compared to other skills. In D2 a reroll wasn't so bad because items weren't bound.

A lot of people seem to like the idea of a shapeshifter, and I'm sure you'll get one, just not the same as it was.
I think the warlock type class has a good possibility. Something that shifts into forms, has maybe a demon or a mind control and spells.

I'm not quite sure I understand you age theory. You say the necro won't be around because he was old and its now 20 years later, but you have all your other characters at the age of 20-30.
Aside from that, there is no way they don't include a pure caster.
I hope the pure caster is two dual element trees, maybe a fire/frost tree, an earth/lightning tree, and then a utility tree. That would mix it up from an old pure caster since they're combining classes. You get the druids casts and some other class gets the druids shifts/pets.

This allows let than uber items to get used. If I found the 2nd best bow in game I'd probably try to trade it if BoE and just trade up for the best and not waste that trade value.
If they do decide to go this route, respecs would be mandatory. I would lose my mind if I had to get myself equiped on bind items only to be nerfed on an incoming patch and have to completely restart. Leveling a character had been less of an issue in D2 than obtaining great items.

Awww, I really hope they leave corpses in the game. Other than player corpses after they are looted. I like using the trail of destruction as memory of where I've been rather than my map.

If tetris is the D3 design at the end, I'd like it to be auto manipulated if I wanted it to be. Moving just around to have the right room for a new item was boring, and was a problem when you were near bosses.
Auto tetris or single slots sounds good. Maybe somehow a combination of both if possible.

It won't happen.
I can't see them making a main healer class because that class would be horrible alone, and therefore would not be viable for single player.

Blizz may combine class, say the barb could end up specing for melee, shouts, and a paladin type tree.
Maybe we can make the witch doc into a primary cast by just not specing into their bone-like tree and specing mostly fire.
I'd love to see some non-mainstream ideas make it through such as something like an illusionist, that may not produce damage like a sorc, but can mitigate damage by trickery and attack without you knowing which form is the real one or something.
A complete shapeshifter class could be possible as well. Picture your old druid, but take away his spells etc. Maybe he would need to be in bear form for certain attacks, dragon form for a mix of physical/magic, and elemental for magic only. Each one having a unique set of melee/magic. Giving some magic buffs to bear, and some physical shielding spells to elements etc.
Maybe they will releive us from the old paladin simply by including a bard type class specing in melee, magic, and song (essentially auras).
Possibly a mimic type class or skill that simpley temporarily learned skills from mobs near by. I dont know how the trees would work though.
I don't know. Just trying to make this a little different.

Millipede perhaps?
Is there anything with more legs?
Sorry for going off topic
ICI:
Lag spikes during boss deaths with remain because they attempt to make it a cool animated scene that the servers can't handle.
Agility characters will gain unanticipated benefits from using a shield and will be FotM at least for a little while.

No no, I was so bored at work that I found the page 7 post about the 7 deadly sins funny.
Sorry.. I get rather delirious late in the work day.

This will be the greatest thing ever made.

They may try to combine curses/auras so maybe we will see an either/or combining the strengths of each.
If in the form of a paladin using curse type spells, you would see blessing type spells to compensate those auras like might. A castable on enemies blessing or damnation for that matter could be used to take the place of auras like the -res aura.
I think we will see...
Barbarian (Pretty simple basic melee grunt with group assist shouts as usual.)
Witch Doctor (I hated the old Druids, but I know a lot of people liked them, so hopefully the Doctor will have shifting abilities for you guys.)
Ranger/Hunter or Rogue (Ranger/Hunter being the gender neutral Amazon. Hell maybe it will be a Bushman/woman. They will probably call the class a Rogue and just split trees to allow melee, bow, and a survival/stealth type tree. Something similar to the Amazon passives, maybe with a stealth or trickery like the assassin had with duplicates. I would love a duplicate that would mimic my moves, not necessarily doing damage, but to distract for say pvp.)
Elementalist (Sorcerer/ess, Mage, whatever they end up naming it. And I undoubtedly will play it.)
Paladin (Knight or whatever, depending on if they have a factor system or something similar)
