posted a message on I Present to you, The Diablo Fans User Awards!
i know you didn't care about what others think if the results and i meant it in jest.
it is just a suggestion for your next awards that you could just have people post their votes in the thread instead of PMing it to you, it would certainly save you alot of grief from people like me that does not ever believe that an or any election is not rigged

and seriously forget about having mods tally votes or whatever, this is just a fun thing and the important thing is that the people who took part had fun

    Voter Fraud!!!
    I demand a recount!!!

    :P :P

    like i said before.
people that voted should have posted in the thread like any other voting threads, instead of sending PMs to the guy who turns out to win the major awards

I thought everybody does! :D But it seems not!

@Valtonis, my advice to you is to do the exact same thing that me and Zhar are doing! Make two characters, and let one resemble your good side :hammy:, and let other draw you to the dark side!

    i do that.
i always play through a game as a good character first than go through it as an evil character but being an evil character just makes me feel guilty.
even though i have zero problems killing evil npcs or killing evil NPCs in the worst way like planting bombs on them, shooting them in the groin or just blowing their face off.

You could never enjoy God of War. Or GTA for that matter. How the hell do you now like hitting people with your speeding car and watching there helpless body soar until they impact on something else and die. Then collect the funds and move on. It's priceless. Take it like this, you're killing pixels not people.

i have no problem with violence, just who i'm doing it too.
and i don't like God of War because of the bloody platform jumping and not the violence, i actually found the violence to be fun

and i do know that they are just pixels but i like to RP when i play games so basically i feel that i am that character that goes around killing innocents and it doesn't sit well with my conscience.

well, i am trying my darnest top playthrough Fallout 3 as an evil character now but it just seems that the game is really crap when it comes to being and RPG.
the dialogue options suck, you either can't choose "evil" dialogues (which would screw up a quest) or there isn't any for you to choose

posted a message on Videogame Guilt! Do you suffer from it?
i don't know whether it is because of the person that i am but i just can't seem to enjoy or even play an evil character in a videogame, ever.

i am playing Fallout 3 now and it made me realise that i've never really played an "evil" character properly.
in all other RPGs Fallout series, Baldur's Gate etc.
i actually used cheats to get the evil endings as i just can't seem to make my character do evil acts.

i just get so guilty doing evil stuff, even though i know that it is just a game and i am not hurting anyone :(

i've een tryign to play as an evil character but i just can't make myself capture and sell kids or other people as slaves or to kill innocents or let them die without helping them.
or even choose jackass/evil options in dialogues, my consience just won't allow me to live it down

even in GTA i can't rob people or knock people down with my car without feeling guilty.

does anyone suffer from this "problem" too?

Hhm i had no idea that it was released in Korea first, it was probably south korea because in the north they dont play games (ever!!!!)

what? didn't know that it is a korean game?
they are trying to break into the western market with this game so the grind is definitely down

and i thought you are able to change to voice of the characters too?
and the US/EU version have a different voice pack than the Asian versions, IIRC so if they sound crappy blame the US branch, because they sound normal when i played the Taiwan version with korean voice pack

It's looking good! I hope it will be a little less rpg-ey than the first, as there was almost too little combat in the game and too much dialogue.

    WHAT?!!!!

when i play an RPG i want to have more RPG
if i want action, i'd go play an action game

yeah, Kanye West is such a racist.
    he totally hates white people.
and so what if Taylor Swift's video sucked.
it doesn't give him the right to ruin someone's moment.
if he is not happy about it post an interview, twitter it whatever.
what he did is not "speaking his mind" it is being an asshole

    Another one of these threads?!
    Seriously?

to summarize what i have said in the same threads.

It is different when you are watching a video of a game and when you are actually playing the game.
there are tons of games that look a mess in a video but when you are playing the game, it doesn't look or feel messy at all.

if that is a problem wouldn't there be alot of threads by people who have played the demo complaining about it?
and since i have not read a single thread on that, i can double confirm my opinion

    it is looking great.
and given the company that made it i have every faith that the sequel is gonna be even better

here is the "leaked" trailer for The Witcher 2

    http://www.thewitcher.com/community/en/news/933.html
Of course, we can?t and won?t try to deny the facts. The movie that appeared on the various sites yesterday presents our newest project, The Witcher 2, which we?ve been working on for some time. We made something about half year ago, to present the first playable version of the game.? said Adam Kicinski, CEO of CD Projekt RED. ?Currently we are looking for a potential publisher (or publishers) for this title, and this leak is an uncontrolled side effect of that process. For today, we are not commenting on anything that concerns the game itself.?More information about The Witcher 2 will be unveiled alongside the official announcement

I don't know about this game. I tried the demo, and the first 30 minutes of "playtime" was watching cutscenes. I think they could have elaborated a lot on the combat mechanics, and skill and weapon choices are weak and unimaginative. Even the quests seem waaaaay too far apart. I played for about 2 hours and still never even got to the first actual quest. I think they tried to take a Fallout 3 approach for the introduction to the game, but failed quite miserably. Also, why is it that virtually every single game that is made nowadays requires the main character to lose his memory?!?! And this one's not even a sequel and he still loses his memory in the beginning!!

    What?
    did you even play it?
you get your first quest right at the start of the game.
and alot more quests following that

how is it even similar to Fallout 3 and if any game was copying any, here is a though, The Witcher came out way before Fallout 3

    and KoTOR 1 had that.

and The Witcher was based of a series of novels and the amnesia was to get gamers who had never read the novels up to speed on the world.
if he didn't have the amnesia it would be very difficult to get into the game since you wouldn't have the basic knowledge of the world and what the character was about

so the amnesia wasn't a gimmick

    Quote from "Archie" »

The story is mediocre and vague, and the graphics are pretty good, but I think the actual gameplay has a lot of room to improve. I don't see anyone playing through this game more than twice in their entire lives.

    Just another opinion.

you just played a 30 min demo, how could you give your opinion on the story of an RPG based off that?
    the story is great FYI

and i completed it way more than 2 times

posted a message on Is it me, or are D2's cinematics better than D3's ?
    http://www.diablofans.com/forums/showpost.php?p=489671&postcount=2
    Bashiok

I think you're confusing in-game 'machinima'-style videos with pre-rendered cinematics. The Monk and Wizard announcement videos were made using in-game assets, models, and animations. Mostly shot using camera views and close-ups that the game was never designed for. The WWI announcement cinematic is obviously of a different quality. But the fact that they're even confused for one another is a big compliment for the team that creates the in-game promotional videos. They do an incredible job.

But yes, the game will include pre-rendered cinematics. And obviously they will be amazing.

posted a message on Exploding heart on skeletons?
didn't we already discussed this already?
the exploding heart is just an icon to show that effect
it doesn't really mean that the skill exploded the skeletons' "heart"

and poison doesn't have to be poisoning their muscles or flesh either.
it could be destroying the structure of their bones.
if you want to get into realism, then skeletons shouldn't be able to move in the first place or even stand since they don't have any muscles or ligaments to support them or allow them to move
