They already stay for a long time now. Check out the recent vids from the archivist class, the lorenado killed one at beginning and corpses stayed for whole 30s clip and the entire time they were getting dragged around by the lorenados

This is kind of sad... just when you think anyone can't find a reason to complain about diablo 3, now it's the UI buttons.

Oh lol, its even worse then i thought.
Apart from this system doing nothing more then catering to kiddies that get annoyed at not understanding how to built characters it also removes the need to have certain stats for particular items, which makes it all even more moronic.
Whats even the freaking point? Seriously, just do away with stats alltogether then, a Wizard is just less strong as a Barbarian and thats that, hey, Diablo 3 might even be a mundane God Of War clone action whatever game.
    Fuck this shit.

The problem with Blizzard isn't that they have become this evil company set out to damage a well respected franchise, the problem is that they have been doing nothing more then WoW for half a decade. Honestly, no disrespect to them creating that huge phenomenon, and to some extend i can understand them living and breathing the same thing for all that time due to being overjoyed with the reception it got. But they have completely and UTTERLY lost touch with the other franchises and fanbases. They simply are CLUELESS and they don't know any better. Don't tell me a big and respected and talented company like Blizzard is unable to fail this hard, there have been plenty examples of similar companies unwillingly alienating strong fanbases and destroying their own franchises. What a big disappointment this has become. Sure, to some extend i knew it was going to be hard to pull away from what they have been exclusively doing for years on end and get back into what made those other franchises unique, but i didn't know Blizzard neutered themselves this much due to their own monster succes they had with WoW. On a positive note, i learned another lesson, never underestimate the influence of too much succes with a one hit wonder.

Sorry that blizzard failed you. There's other quality pc games coming out right!?

You basically listed hellgate's subscription model which blizzard says they want to stay away from and those affected the core gameplay while blizzard is trying to stay away from anything altering the game.

With Battle.Net we're definitely looking at possible different features that we might be able to do for additional money. We're not talking about Hellgate or anything like that. We're not going to tack things on. I think World of Warcraft is a great example to look at. We charge people if they want to switch servers or if they want name changes, things that aren't core to the game experience, they're really just optional things that some people want. It takes us some development work to do it, so it makes sense to charge for it. We would never do something like say to get the full game experience, you'll have to pay extra.

Yeah, so we might be missing something like... two skills?

And if the trees go up to level 30 like D2, then you have 1 or 2 extra tiers of skills and passive talents for EACH tree.

The ones who are worried about not having stat distribution... did you plan on upping dexterity on your wizard? Energy on your barbarian? I don't think so. Everyone ends up putting in the same points as always to min/max so it doesn't really matter that it's automatic.

This also means you won't need to put minimum points in "xx stats" ahead of time to plan on wearing "xx gear"

If you're so against change there is still diablo 2 to play if you're hardcore enough to stick to it and skip diablo 3...

Not surprising considering the amount of discussions that get turned into wars against blizzard's game is like 80% of the threads here. This is also where the online petition originated.

    Cliffnotes

    - 1/3 of Blizzard North is on the team
    - Minority of people complaining not surprising as they went through that themselves at Blizzard.
    - Art change for gameplay reasons
    - Says undead tomb they showed isn't supposed to be very gritty but they will go back and add more grit to earlier dungeons.
    - Corpses faded too fast and left no aftermath feel so corpses will fade out when you move off the screen
    - Deeper story
    - Big plans at Blizzcon for diablo 3.

    Trading features

    - There should be an out of the game site that manages all the diablo characters and there would be access to bags where you can right click them and transfer gears in your bag or cod them without having to go in game. Or heck it could be built right into the chat channels of B.net and player profiles with linkable loot and making trades would be quicker than going in game and finding someone.

    - For gearing up your other characters, instead of being able to get everything from your main to your alt, a simple item or charm could come with any characters after you beat the game in say hell mode that increases drop rate. It doesn't have to be a large number but as you beat hell mode for every character the charm becomes more powerful and you can just get rid of magic finding all together and reward people completing the game with better drop rates.

    PvP Features

    - An arena idea would be where you go in with a group and kill waves of monsters then a random boss. A chest appears and everyone in your game is flagged for pvp and dukes it out with each other. That way there would be an incentive to go to the arena and get loot while pvping at the same time! The number of players will determine the amount of loot in these chests and difficulty of the waves including boss and the last guy standing will have a high chance of getting epic gear while everyone else gets regular magic items.
