Lucifer wanted to make it so we had no choice, so we would all choose right and go back to heaven, he wanted this plan so he could get all the glory of saving mankind. But God's plan was to give us agency and trials. If we had no trials in life we would not become as strong as we could. I am not talking about war, that is lucifer and mans own creation, due to intolerance and pride. Jesus volunteered to be sacrificed and to be our savior, but not for glory, he did what he did out of love and said the glory be thine(god's). And what some may see as "superstitions" others may call Faith.
I know this is only a bitter argument where the atheist type people will only disagree and try to discredit religious beliefs, but oh well, it still will never change what I believe.

Jul 31, 2008Posted in: General Discussion (non-Diablo)Quote from "LinkX" »Because everyone follows your religion? Everyone believes it should be one man and one woman? Everyone believes in marriage?
I for one will never be married. There are other ways to be legally and religiously bonded then some dumbfuck marriage that some pope sanctions is only proper for some people but not others.
Only reason you should have intercourse is love. Nothing else matters, if you are truely and honestly in love, nothing else matters.
Oh, and the idea of religion in schools keeping the peace is bullshit. Back before the religous movement began, things were peaceful and there was no religion in schools and there was no mass killings like columbine and the postal incident.
Pope? I didn't say anything about a pope, and I never said religion should keep peace in schools. What does marriage have to do with a pope? I thought it was a legal thing, where you have to get a marriage license and all that.(won't post my other points on what marriage can potentially be)
And I never said everyone has to go by my beliefs, I simply stated what I believe.
I knew my posts would piss someone off, but I thought about the whole religion in schools thing and wanted to post my view.
If you want I can edit my posts so they don't say anything.
Jul 31, 2008Posted in: General Discussion (non-Diablo)Quote from "Obalobex" »The morals and outlook of today's youth have become more worrisome. While I was blessed to be raised in a well off community and never had serious family problems (other than an extremely bitchy mom), this is not the case for most of the youth in America. Most Americans are brought up in broken homes, and with more than a 50% divorce rate (as well as illegitimate pregnancies), young boys are brought up without a positive role model and support from a father figure.
The whole 'sexy' movement is a fad and imo, should not be viewed as such an evil. Yes a line has to be drawn and parents must tell their little girls that by dressing in a scantily clad way, that they are sending out signals that they are sexually assertive (which is generally a bad idea for those<14). It is Christianity in the first place that has chastised sex and the human body in our society (think about all those naked sculptures the Vatican castrated). Sex should be considered a beautiful and great thing, and not kept hidden and ignored by the parents, leading their kids to experiment to figure it out for themselves. And because of social things like the parental neglect, kids WILL have unprotected sex at a young age and possibly ruin their lives. The abstinence only policy given by the church is not going to stop this and so protection must be handed out if needed. I'm tired of people scapegoating things like Britney Spears or rap music or Marilyn Manson for things that are deeper, social problems that need to be adressed as a household, and nation.
Don't say that... You are hurting your cause by labeling yourself a fanatical.
I'm not fanatical, I just have strong beliefs. I don't go out on the streets shouting to beware temptation or anything like that. And sex can be a beautiful thing if between a man and woman and within the bonds of marriage. And the things about Britney Spears and stuff, I don't follow that crap, its worthless how people worship and obsess over hollywood. (not saying that you do, just how others do)
Jul 31, 2008If the religion in schools argument is still going on heres my take.Posted in: General Discussion (non-Diablo)
There are no morals in society or in schools today. Every other word is a curse word, females wear clothes so small or revealing they might as well not wear pants or shorts. (skirts/tiny shorts) Children's minds are tainted (any word or phrase can be twisted so it pertains to sex). Middle schools give out free condoms, I mean come on middle school!
If religion was in schools these things would be less prevalent, (at least if the one I belonged to was)
BUT, I do not believe religion should be in schools, I believe parents should be teaching their kids BETTER MORALS.
Society in general could be taught a few things also. PG-13s are now as bad or worse than rated R movies.
All these things have now been deemed acceptable in society.
Basically, Satan is doing his job quite well.

I never spent a dime on MapleStory, but I did play it, (level 43 mage) Even that took forever, the leveling was sooooooo slow in that game. Yeah I agree that game was a waste of time. And I also hated how everyone sold stuff for really expensive, so the only way to buy something good was to rip other people off or to spend actual money to get game money.
Most MMO's suck, the only really good one I have played so far was Mythos Beta, but since flagship studios has only a skeleton crew left it may not be finished or may take a long time. I hope they land on their feet.
EDIT: Almost all MMO's are very similar. Same setups, same gameplay, the only reason I played so many is because they were free. I think I am more of a hacknslash guy, thats why I have played Diablo for so long.
Jul 30, 2008Gem shrines were so rare that they did not really make it "easier" And sometimes you didn't even have a good gem to use with the shrine. So I think gem shrines are fine. Always liked getting them.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Shrines in general are cool.
Jul 30, 2008Here's a link to a thread on the bnet forums. It is of a screenshot that I guess was posted on the D3 website then removed. The darker/petition guys might like it.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Jul 29, 2008Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from name="Murderface Cody" »i think in diablo 3 they should make it harder to level, i mean, in diablo 2, i got to level 88 in a weekend.
I only play singleplayer and it took me forever to get a level 78 barbarian, my highest level character. I think you are talking about in multiplayer. I don't want them to make it harder, it was already very slow for me towards higher levels.

I could guess. In my barb I still haven't gotten Immortal Kings Armor. I did so many runs over and over trying to get it too. Oh well, I haven't played that character for a long time anyways. I put a lot of time just into that one character.
Jul 26, 2008Even though it is all about replayability, I would like Diablo 3 to be longer than Diablo 2. If it is longer there is even more to replay, all the better. I think it will probably be longer, they are trying to flesh out the world and make us feel more immersed in it and we are going to be visiting more areas in Sanctuary. I hope it is longer, but it is too early to know or worry about. And yes, I have spent many many hours on Diablo 2 haven't we all? That is why it is such a great game, even though it wans't very long we have been playing it for years. (the many mods out there also helped) I know when D3 comes out I'll be spending many many hours on it, but I still hope it is longer than D2.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Aug 5, 2008jwest posted a message on MTV - Necromancer May Return, Diablo 3 Expansion Confirmed?Posted in: NewsQuote from ".KILLING-HAZARD." »r u kidden me?? hes like 60 at most. (in d2 LOL, he had white hair boney as hell) 20 years later is diablo 3. But they said he might come in the expansion. And for all we know the expansion might be another 5 years later ( in the story). So therefore he will be 85 when he is introduced in the expansion. LOL
Have you read the books? There was a necromancers over 100 years old and he was really powerful.
Jul 24, 2008I like some of the ideas floating around here, making dungeons more significant and worthwhile to explore and improving quests. D2 quests got very old, doing the same exact ones and knowing where all of them would be got old, I think this time around quests will be much better, especially with the random quests included.Posted in: News
And it makes sense that the towns stay in the same area, why would a town up and move in a world, the developers are trying to make the game more immersive and are trying to make you feel a part of the world. Also in D2 towns never moved either.
Jul 23, 2008I just finished Moon of the Spider. It was AWESOME! The end is left open to another possible book which Zayl as well as Salene could possibly be in, I hope that Blizzard allows this, as this was the best book from the Diablo series I have read so far. All that's left to read now is the Sin War Trilogy, but I don't know when I'll read them. I've already spent too much money as it is.Posted in: News
Jul 22, 2008They wouldn't make D3 rated Teen, for one thing there is bloody explosions(critical hits), head bitten off by boss, and plus a game being rated M doesn't stop kids from playing them. Look at all the people who play grand theft auto games, those games are terrible(strippers, bad language, killing people, etc.) but people who are not 17 play them. I don't find a change to a Teen rating to be a valid concern as it is not likely.Posted in: News
Jul 18, 2008The books are just like any other books, have characters and tell a story, they do not completely follow the game.Posted in: News
Their sold at book stores, and online, like barns & noble.com or borders.com, or you could check ebay or amazon.
And yes they are different from the game, they just may include some of the prime evils or a familiar Demon from the game in one of the books. Like Bartuc the Bloody, and Diablo also.
I haven't read the Sin War or Moon of the Spider yet, but I can tell you that the books in the Diablo Archive were good.
