I think mostly they just need to remove bloom. Alter all the texture's to a darker more grittier texture. Wherever there are enemies you should at least see a few bodies and blood splatters here and there (human or demons). Maybe change a few models. But since little is being done to animation or model I don't imagine it taking very long to alter, especially if they make a change sooner than later. Maybe a few weeks at most. While someone does that others can continue to work on the game. I can't imagine it delaying the game much if at all.

    INTRODUCTION

I’ve been reading several posts lately of people saying that possible new features in Diablo3, respecification (respec) in particular, would reduce the uniqueness of characters since they would all be able to have the same skills at anytime thus making players only have one character per class instead of having several specialized characters, which would in the end reduce greatly the replay value of the game.

I don't care how many times someone says this, I'm never going to agree with them. I'm sure there's been a TONNE of players who after playing through the game as one character (no matter what spec they were) only kept that 1 class and made a different one. Those who screwed up their spec, or didn't like probably didn't even revisit the class because it was too tedious to go through it all again. Not everyone is hardcore and loves to have 3 different types of Zons and such.

And the rest of the ideas, I'm not such a fan of. I don't see it adding much to the game, only replacing one hassle with another.

lol random maps is crucial! That's the best part about Diablo! I'm just afraid with a 3D engine it'll not be as good as the previous games. But it'd be better if they could somehow create it in a way making maphacking impossible. Hopefully, don't know if that's possible.

Game's with static maps are fun for speedrunning, games with random maps are fun for comming back to with a bunch of friends (or by yourself) and reliving that same initial experience you had with the game when you first played it. You don't know what's behind that door, or which way to go. Only thing you do know are the bosses, and how to kill them.

this isnt an RTS. are you kidding me? how the fuck woudl this go into the game at ALL?

im wondering if all these 20< post count people that joined in the last week have even PLAYED diablo before. seriously.

Actually Titan Quest had something like this, though complicated and sometimes hard to use, it nevertheless added what little there was to the game. In Diablo's sense though, considering how big Bnet is (TQ had nothing like that) I don't see it being used much. I personally wouldn't mind seeing something like that. Knowing Blizzard could create and play some crazy LAN games or even only MP (though you know Open Bnet players would just cheat.)

But as my final oppinion, if it were to delay the game then NO. If anything I wouldn't mind seeing it as a release AFTER the game has been released, that's if they got nothing else to work on.

    Greetings!

From another question at WWI 08- ( [thread link="http://pc.ign.com/articles/885/885126p1.html"]http://pc.ign.com/articles/885/885126p1.html[/thread link] )

    actual interview: ( http://youtube.com/watch?v=FF2PFSwYLN8 )

" 3:18 -- While nothing was confirmed, Wilson made it sound like you'll probably be able to respec your character skills."

I do not see any reason why they should impliment this now. It makes me feel like they are being too heavily influenced by WOW. Each character needs its own personality. You see "XxPKTHENOOBxX" and you know hes that asshole that kills everyone for no reason... and you know he's lightning spec. That is personality. That needs to feel the same as Diablo 2.

They don't want people getting rushed through the game just to have another high level. I understand that. But some people like going through the game more than a few times. Some people enjoy planning their skills... and seeing if it is a good build or not. It was part of the fun of the previous games. Why take that away?

Okay... so you may have made a mistake with your skills... give people 1 or 2 respecs... but not ENDLESS.

    What do you think?

    Thanks!

edit: added link to actual interview

Some peopel did enjoy doing everything all over again and being forced into it. I and others didn't. What I don't understand is why can't people just let it be in the game? I mean if you want to play all over again then go ahead. Why not just play as a dif character though? Wouldn't that be more fun? Maybe some skills will turn out useful at the beginning of the game and turn out useless at the end, why can't we just completely reallocate those skills?

Nonetheless, even though I'm Pro-Respec, I think there should be some of limit applied to it. Like you can only do it once a week or something on Bnet (Single-Player as much as you want). Cost a lot of money, maybe even need to do a small quest to be able to do it. (Obviously repeatable)

My god, it's like whatever the community does to try and show a better looking screenshot they always succeed!! All the "New and Improved" Shots look AMAZING compared to the originals ESPECIALLY the one with the rain on the bridge. That is a game that captivates me, the more and more I see these screen comparisons the more I can't help but completely agree with everyone on this topic. Blizzard has MUCH room for improvement in the Art department.

Also speaking of WoW, whoever designed art for that game (or the team) should have been fired a long time ago. Every time they released a new set of armor to the game the entire community uproared about how awful and gay everything looked and sent in their own renditions of what things should look like but Blizzard never cared to listen and just did whatever they want. Fucking faggots, it's times like those you just begin to hate Blizzard. I really hope they don't fuck up the Diablo series like they did with Warcraft.

posted a message on Rating of D3 so far?
5/5 seems like a broken answer. The game is uncompleted and it's like say "It's so awesome I'd take it as a completely broken game!" but then in retrospect, playing that broken game would be so dull and boring as it's not even close to finished, it's like a demo that it should technically be around 1/5.

Anyways, I voted 3/5 because technically I believe 4/5 is the logical highpoint, and I think there is room for improvement.

I vote to keep it. I never played HC in D2, but a part of me always wanted to. I can easily see myself playing it in D3 if it's included.

It's kinda true how it sucked in Single-Player and having other classes items drop for you, it's like what's the point of this? But either way I like class-items.
