Put it this way. They're doing what they can, and always have been. They say anything more elaborate, they jeopardize their efforts. The simplest and kindest way they can say "We're on it, but you can only expect so much".
No offense to Kauza, but his statement on botting is one of those that made me say, "well no shit." I don't think anyone in this forum thinks that botting is really a legitimate activity in the game. I think they want more frequent action taken to reduce its use.
I think a more meaningful statement would have been talking about things like YOLO Mouse and TurboHUD. There are always discussions posted here where the player base is split on if it is legit and/or punishable to use tools like that. He could have made a powerful statement by posting a much more encompassing statement on this clause within their terms of service.
However, I am glad to see that they have a new leader running the team and hope that he does some great things for their community.
I'd go on to say "The only way you'll really get their attention on bots, is if thousands and thousands of players start quitting for simply that reason." Then of course they'd HAVE to focus more of their efforts on stopping bots.... However, I'd near-guarantee you that thousands and thousands and thousands more players would probably stop playing once the content/seasons or whatever else had to make a cutback to put more effort into this department affordably. Also, unlike some people, I don't envision these people sleeping on bags of money at night, but instead working tirelessly and hard to create this.

Dunno what they would do in Diablo's case though.. making an isometric Action-RPG is definitely viable on a console, and with XBL you wouldn't even really need a Battle.net or a monthly fee (just a yearly fee of course). Actually I think that would be pretty kickass, except for the gay fact you'd be paying for all the small downloadable content they'd release.
Or maybe it would horribly suck, who knows.

SC2 looks like it will be moderately fun, look forward to unravelling the story. Competitive online play that they're constantly developing around and delaying the game for isn't even an interest to me, the only online I'd be interested in is UMS maps.
Then it would be this Diablo MMO wanna-be crap..
Then at last is the MMO of Warcraft, worst turn for the Warcraft series ever. Altho they did probably need a seperate genre to seperate Starcraft and Warcraft, MMO was just gay though... but hurray it made the company money, and nowadays that's all this industry is about sadly.

Lol I was thinking that, they only really way I could see em pullin it off is like Guild Wars, and then I remembered how much Guild Wars sucked so I probably still wouldn't play D3.
And to expand on my opinion here, it's because the Towns are far too overpopulated (even with different channels). I don't want big massive towns (for all I know they might be in D3) but the point is, I don't want to be running back and forth for like 2 minutes going from one vendor to another to do things and squeezing my way through 100 others doing the same to just buy potions and repair my armor and get the next quest... ugh once again would just ruin the immersiveness of the Diablo universe.

I don't know, I think it would be great to keep them. Just, when the monsters come bursting out of the ground, they set ablaze the ground and the tree's become incinerated and the bunnies get squashed.. don't know about the rainbow though, maybe they should get rid of that.

That would be almost perfect!

I'd say so, because someone who's played that much could basically memorize the entire game and compare every aspect of every place in the world to what they might see in Diablo 3. Whereas people looking at screenshots, only get that one comparison of the screenshot. Speaking of which, a lot of the dungeons in WoW use Green/Blue to create a "dark" atmosphere.. I see Diablo following that fantastic idea as well!

I'm sure everyone else is already bashing you for saying WoW is better then Diablo 2, when in fact it's really not. They're completely different styles of gameplay. In their fields, Diablo hasn't really been beaten yet because every company that seems to try to make a good Action-RPG always fails, whereas WoW seems to be the top MMO as well. You people need to stop crossing Genre's and always say "Every game needs to be MMO!" Because they don't. I don't play either game anymore, but if I was to return to either, I'd definately pick D2, because it is WAY more fun than WoW for a pick-up and play game. I think you need to loosen your addiction buddy.
