I was curious about hearing some of the names / modifiers / etc. on champions you've come across that were either really cool or really funny.

I just came across a champion zombie just outisde of New Tristram with my new HC Wizard, his name was 'Lester (L-something...) the Strange' and his subtitle was 'Eater of Vegetables'. I about lost it laughing at that.

This has always kind of annoyed me, it's played up as a relatively big deal at the time yet he's the least scary boss fight of them all. I thought they just buffed his poison damage in Patch 15? I think he needs more buffing. :\ IMO all of the bosses could be a bit scarier.

I've been thinking about this as well, D2 is a very special game to me and I could do with one last play-through before putting it to rest forever. Maybe start from scratch and see how high of a HC character I can get before May 15? Who's with me?

Strange, I've only come across / killed one since the patch hit but it dropped 3 blues for me.

Yeah, it's a cool map. I just picked it up today and am loving it so far, it's gorgeous. I saw some people complaining the pages were cheaply produced but as someone who knows a bit about book publishing / production it's truly not the case, the type of page trim used is teh type used in lots of literary fiction / high-end novels production-wise. Loving the artwork and lore fill-ins. I sort of want to frame the map.

Zayl is definitely not the D2 necro, though it's been speculated / hinted superficially (to my knowledge) that he could be making a cameo in D3. He's definitely a fun character.

I agree about the Aiden retcon, and it obviously also neatly plays into all the hints that Leah is going to play a huge role in D3, with some clear reverberations from the fact that she was conceived by a Diablo-infested Aiden and Adria. Lineage (like the cursed family as well) always seems to play a central role in the Diablo lore.

I'm thinking a mix-and-match of the Autumn and Forester for my starting Witch Doctor. I love the aesthetic of the oudoor areas we saw in the gameplay trailer (Leoric Highlands, etc.) and would love to match it as well as I can, with some black mixed in perhaps...

From the limited scope of the beta I feel like the Wizard is the most fun -- Monk is pretty solid too but just feels too funky to my taste. I love the style of the Monk class though (the giant bell = awesome).

Yeah, definitely hard to not be a monster-big Tyrael fan, he's badass from the name on down.

I'm a big fan of Cain, he's always been in the games and I love his scholarly obsessing, toiling away in thick tomes year after year by candlelight trying to save the world and no one ever seems to believe him.

Also a big fan of Farnham -- they did a nice job with him, balancing how the horrors of the cathedral wrecked him and turned him into a slobbering drunk while also making him so freaking hilarious.

Maybe not all-time favorite but my favorite one so far out of D3, from the beta, is the drunk-seeming fellow in the inn who rants angrily about how the Skeleton King just won't stay dead.

All right folks, 10 more minutes then I'm throwing in the demon-stained sword for the night. I mean towel.

Interesting change to Haunt and Blow Dart, I agree it felt silly to ever want to use Haunt as the BD DPS felt significantly superior. Looking forward to trying that out. So is the Vermin passive gone completely? Is it replaced by something? Hmm.

Bonus points to the slight buff to Spectral Blade, one of the most satisfying skills to use as Wizard IMO.

Definitely don't mind a char wipe (I mean, it's beta! haha) but kinda stinks achievements get wiped, I was sorta working on the Beta Max or whatever achievement.

How about a Dfans run-through over the weekend after things reset?
