posted a message on If hell vs heaven , what will be diablo's 'side'?
Maybe the prime evils are an enemy to hell, but I don't think they're necessarily a bigger enemy than heaven.. I don't think we really even know what heaven is packin'.

And Diablo will make his new path and gain many followers with him as usual. He obviously isn't going to side with heaven seeing as how they'd all just try to kill him.

too bad we can't decide how to distribute out stat points..(question mark??)
Yeah. I know, and I cry myself to sleep every night.. seriously, why did they ever think this was a good decision?

I think to some degree some things need to be class specific. For example the WD will not be strong enough to move about and fight wearing heavy armor and if you choose to use that the defense should be lowered because of you lack of strength. Same should be for weapons. If you are not as strong and have the dexterty to weild two handed weapons as a barbarian then why should you get the same statistics. Some things are just better suited for certian characters. When a WD has half the strength and dexterty of the Barbarian why should he get the same statistics from the item. He would not be able to move as quickly for defense and offense
Well, yeah, if you're not strong or dextrous enough to sue armor or weapon, you shouldn't be able to. But those things should be determined by how the player distributes their points, not the class they chose.

Maybe it's a class-specific shield similar to the paladin's from Diablo II.

Anyway, even though i like how armor changes depending on what class is wearing it, I would be upset if the same were true with shields. Then would you do weapons, too? Where would it stop?

I prefer playing a game that doesn't require you to look up recipes online.
Well that's just the thing, were you ever required to? No, not really. The only times you're required to use the cube, the game makes it painfully obvious what the recipes are.

I liked the added depth of an item with near-endless possibilities that you wouldn't even necessarily know or ever have to use.

I hope something similar appears in D3...

Aside from a bit of stiffness and anatomical wonkiness, i think the main thing that may make it seem 'off' is that i think his anatomy and posture is almost too humanoid. From what I remember in the games, their proportions are different.

I think he could stand to be a bit shorter and stumpier, and a bit more crouched over. his limbs seem too elongated right now.

I don't know. I think people are getting a little ahead of themselves with the three heads assumption. All I see is some Diablo-looking demon with mouths on his shoulders. That doesn't exactly constitute 'three- heads' to me, and therefore doesn't constitute any particular 3 headed demons in Diablo lore or a combination of some three, but there's no reason to roll it out either.

And I'm pretty sure we know the girl's name, but not much else. I forget what it was though.

Just because a game is probably going to be better than others on the market, or just because you think you'll like it more, or more work into it, is really quite irrelevant. The price will be comparable to other games at the time of release, that's just how it goes.

    It's "The Creation of Adam"

    My thoughts:
1.Settle down with the photoshop blending modes on the text. If you're gonna use them, be subtle. Between the excessive glow, color choice, and font, it's hard to read.
    2.Don't use imageshack.

Also, what's the idea behind this? I mean, you've taken an angel and made him look a bit demonic, put him in a hellish-looking environment, and have a very religious (but not at all demonic) painting in the backround.. it all seems to clash, or is that what you're going for?

And the quote is nice, but doesn't really fit the subject.

How very inappropriate, and I hope not. I don't want a porno, I want a blood bath! A whirlwind of death and destruction. Explosions of gore and bone! Nothing wrong with what you said, I just don't see Diablo having that.
Haven't all Diablo games so far had that? Topless demons and such, nude mutilated corpses around.. it's very Diablo.

I don't think it should be there for the teenies to get off to, but nudity and demonic/gothic stuff go hand in hand. If there isn't anything, it won't be game breaking, obviously, but just another step toward the pussification of Diablo.

    Fer shure.

But you know, practicing wrong anatomy doesn't really help, be sure to use your books and such. And what helps a lot in getting their poses to look natural is to do a lot of figure draw and life drawing, just go out to some public place and start gesturing people.

Looks like you've got a lot of potential, and such.

I like the right arm a lot, seems natural. But yeah, that left one is in a very awkward position.. and, the legs, too. From what little we see of the legs they just seem like vague masses with very little regard to anatomy, and this really hurts the piece to me. Don't be afraid to look at some reference for something like that. His legs are thick.. but not so much muscular, and the positioning certainly isn't natural. Not trying to harp or anything, but it just seems like your arm poses usually are pretty natural, and your legs aren't.. which can ruin an otherwise pretty awesome piece.

Also, he has no center of balance really, he's leaning, looks like he's about to fall over.

    Otherwise pretty damn swell.

Looks good. A bit too asian, yes, and a bit of wonky anatomy too, but I like the rendering. I think he could stand to be bigger, though.

His head is a bit small, but I don't think that's negative, he's a massive barbarian, I think a smaller head emphasizes his bulk, and if used well would be a good way to sell his size. So, I think it works.
