I'm deffinetly going to get flamed now. But I fucking hope that blizzard doesnt listen to you whiners. This is getting too fucking annoying hearing you emo/goth kids. You guys are ungrateful, you've only seen like opening stages of act 1 and you fucking crying about what you already got. It's just the fucking beginning, chill the fuck out. Not all of the game is going to be bright and shiny, some settings will be dark and eerie just like you want. And there are techniques that you can do with the monitors or ingame settings, which I'm sure blizzard will make possible, to adjust the tone and contrast fo the game. Grow the fuck up!
Actually, I agree with you.
I'm just wondering if you could have squeezed in a few more "fucks."
May be you know all of the 10 million Wow subscribers ?
Mostly kids play wow and ask their parents to pay for them, that's not difficult to imagine.
Do you just sit around and make shit up? Tell me you don't actually believe what you type.
Here is some info that might help you out:
"From the survey data, the average age of the WoW player is 28.3 (SD = 8.4). 84% of players are male. 16% are female. Female players are significantly older (M = 32.5, SD = 10.0) than male players (M = 28.0, SD = 8.4). On average, they spend 22.7 (SD = 14.1) hours per week playing WoW. There are no gender differences in hours played per week."
I already posted a list of the petition and almost all signatures have comments, it would be a really, super natural job to make 1000 signatures / hour with different, distinct, long comments, yes, there's some duplicated signatures but i cant believe that more than 5% of the signatures are false.
I'm somewhat against the petition (did not sign), but I have to agree Ultra here.
diablo 3 will probably go over 1M copies, but 75% of these fans have never participated a community. i have about 10 friends that are fans to the point of willing spend alot of money on one copy (its really expensive here in brazil about 100 bucks.........) but all of them have no ideia about all these discussion forums, and never heard about the petition
we Are the hardcore fanbase, and they can take the petition into consideration, though the fact you can sign in several times may ruin it
didnt it work for SC2 huh?!
$100 USD? That is a little expensive. Hopefully Battle.net 2 (2nd Generation) will still be free.
All everyone wants is a great solid game that will stand the test of time.

It's a survey he has conducted. 1,000 people is better than sitting around and pulling "numbers (or facts) out of your butt."
If you watch most surveys touted on the news. You will see a sampling data between 500-1000 people surveyed.
These poll numbers shape the consensus of the topic that is being discussed.
ETA: This guy has been doing research/study of MMO games for several years.

This post is full of Fail.
Everyone I know that plays WoW is an adult. Most have families- and make good money.
I don't know too many 10 year olds with credit cards.

Blizzard loves me, but they don't even know me.

I think there are far more people who will love the game- than those who are crying about the new changes.
Diablo 2 was by far better than Diablo.
Diablo 3 (I hope) will be better than Diablo 2.
Change is good. The sooner you except change- the happier you will be.

But, to slam a game with 9-10 million players (monthly subscribers) says that they've done something right.
Please let us know what game you have developed and sold with this level of a dedicated fan-base.
Disclaimer: Played every Diablo (and expansions) made. Played WoW for about 2 years.

BTW... nice to get linked to MTV web site.

I hope they still maintain the dark & gritty style of Diablo.

I believe Visual C++ is the Microsoft version ($$$), and C++ is found on most Linux/Unix boxes (Free).
0
That converts to $62 USD
I would imagine the game will be priced about $50-$60 USD when it is released in the US.
So, you guys are going to pay just a little more than we are.

It's not needed when the max amount of players in the game will be between 5-8 players. (I don't think they've announced max party size).
What is the purpose of a guild then? This is not a MMO player type game.
You, and your guild mates are going to go on a raid in Act 2 with 3 or 4 players? Huh?
Did I miss something?

I want my kids to play it some day.
