I had no idea where to post this. Bodybuilding.com may be a good place at some point, but I hate their forum, and Reddit already called me spammer for posting it. I'll also probably be flamed for posting this here. But this is my other "go to" forum, as I am a huge D3 gamer (pumped for S4).
I use to be pretty thin about 5 years ago or so, I started lifting weights and packed on like 65lbs+ over the years, and have also been recognized by MF Magazine for my gains. So, since Dom Mazzetti is a hero of mine, I figured I would run a knock off with actual tips and advice aimed to the thin fitness community. I'm not trying to make money/fame off of this or anything. I just wanted to get a few good laughs and see if I can help people out a bit all free of charge with no stupid "get fit quick" gimmicks. (lots of swearing and attempted beer shotgunning in these videos).
Can you link the build and gear setup you used via d3planner.com or something? Or just write it down here. That would be awesome. Nice vids by the way, I've been watching them lately.
Fist of Heavens is under-rated. Once I get full Akkhan I go FoH Lightning, with okay gear this build works very well in T4, with good gear you can easily blast through T6. Imagine an Ancient Darklight with 3k DPS on it? Tasty. This is the build I use until I get proper shield/weapon combos for a meta build.
I tried the hammers builds on T6, the damage just wasn't there unless you use Fire Starter rune and stack fire damage in which case I felt a bit squishy. Not a fan.
Well you don't have to stack fire damage to use Fire Starter, it can help but the rune still works even with other elements. I'm running a build on my second crusader now that is a mix of hammers and Heaven's Fury. I found it on the Crusader forums in the stickied guide thread. It does T6 pretty easily and between the CDR on my gear and the shield I have perma Heaven's Fury. It's a lot of fun and you run it more like a wizard than a melee char which is fun and a nice change of pace.
Eberli Charo + FotF is a nice touch. No Akkhans though?
Bul-Kathos wedding band? I use that. I THINK I've seen it tick for 100+ MIL before and I read that a lot of people use that. Helps when trying to burn down the RG and I also use a Sunkeeper with a Diamond. Ess of Jordan for the neck. Unity for second ring and deathless relic, of course.
I feel like no matter what I equip him with, I never see a HUGE difference (except for the Unity setup).

Pop the boss with 7+ minutes left leaving time to work on the RG. Hope for a good RG, I did my GR40 with the Bone Warlock who was a joke. I forget which RG I killed to complete my GR41, the one that spawned the Arcane Beams, wasn't too bad and I got lucky with a Shield Pylon (yes some people "pylon fish") that I was able to use and try to burn him down a bit quicker. My attempt on a GR42 was going good until I had Raziel (spelling) for a boss, he goes into some crazy lightning insta-kill mode around 25%. This is why some people favor immunity necklaces, it would of been a tank and spank with the immunity necklace - then fish for a good RG to pop, maybe that's why I see people favoring the poison resistance necks especially. There are maybe three or so RGs who deal poison damage.
There is a definite hole in this system that I am not sure Blizz is targeting to fix in Patch 2.2. Also I play Condemn, and I use a Unity ring combo to reduce my damage by 50%, doing GR37+ without that combo gets a little tough in my opinion.
I only play crusaders FYI, but I hear its one of the most diverse classes. Almost every Crusader build will need 6 piece Akkhan set bonus and 50-56% CDR, so there isn't much diversity there in the gear you can wear. The set modifies a cooldown and not a direct damage dealing ability, and relies mainly on a weapon or weapon/shield combo to define a build, which is actually pretty cool. So this type of set yields plenty of builds such as Heavens Fury Shotgun Build (made possible with Fate of the Fell Flail), Fist of Heavens builds (made interesting with Darklight Flail), The Phalanx Builds pet/stempede (made possible with the Unrelenting Phalanx Shield), and the Condemn Build (Made possible with Blade of Prophecy Sword + Fredyrs Wrath Shield). All those builds will get you into GR30s and the last two listed will get you further.

Saw this one for the first time the other day, but I have been playing forever. I still think it's a bit more rare but it may of came when they fixed some things during the last patch.
Toward the begging I was using all my shard on shields, must have spent about 5k plus shards. I got going with a Fist of Heavens progressions build and gave up on the shield, then it dropped off an Elite pack one day, lucky me. That is also how I found my Hellskull. Took me 100+ hours of play and I've only seen one of each drop.
The popular belt is the Vigilante belt, which has cooldown reduction on it. That is the "go-to" for most Crusaders at the moment. How is your cooldown reduction? I think between 52-56% is kind of the range most people look for. Also, your current ammy is pretty good minus it not having a socket. Ideally you want Crit Hit Chance, Crit Hit Damage, elemental damage or strength and then the socket.
Also, the Maximus is probably one of your best choices for weapons, so I'd totally stick with it (unless you find a Furnace or something). How is your overall damage with this build? If you are ripping thru T6 Rifs I'd say you could maybe sacrifice a little bit of DPS for Toughness (put Diamonds in your pants and add about 150 all res, remove the 11% movement on boots for armor, etc.) The other thing you can do is try the Prophet rune on Akkarats Champion, but that might REALLY gimp your DPS. ORRRRR get two unity rings, one on your follower and one on you and that will reduce all damage taken by 50%.
I really don't know about bracers. Maybe somebody else can weigh in. I know there are a few legendary bracers that can be crafted. Maybe craft some and score an Ancient Legendary.
Ever think about rolling more jewelry sockets on the neck and ring to utilize the additional strength from the Finery passive as well as the awesome bonuses from epic gems? The Gogok gem you have is nice, the attack speed + hammers = A LOT OF HAMMERS FLYING, so I back the attack speed for the hammers builds. Other gems would be the Pain Enhancer (lvl 25 you get a attack speed buff) and Bane of the Powerful for the general damage boost. You can also maybe experiment with Shield Glare + Bane of the Trapped, great for crowd control and added damage.
