Yeah you could say theres a pretty good recap. MGS is fun as well. Other games you should play: God of War series, Jak and Daxter series, Prince of persia series.

Oh and i was going to get the prince of persia series on PC, but I wasn't sure it was worth it...any word of advice there? haha

Yeah i bought and beat God of War I and II and pre-ordered 3. I bought all 4 of the DMC's and have yet to dig into those, I bought all four MGS's and am working on 3 next. plus i have way too many other great games to play like Demon's souls and Uncharted 2 (wanna play 1 before i play 2 though).

Is Jack and Daxter better, worse, or different then R and C? What are each of them most like? are they open world like zelda, level based worlds like mario, linear like god of war...?

    Thanks for the help.

son of a gun! I already have so many games to play but no time to do so haha. I am still catching up on MGS games and other ones as well. So the recap that they give isn't good enough? I only know this because of IGN, I am assuming they are telling the truth when they say theres a recap haha. oh man, well i guess some day i will pick these games up.

    @donsro

The two are completely different types of games. Here it is in a nutshell, if you want an updated CoD 4 (im somewhat assuming) then get MW2 (i am not supporting them lol, besides BF:BC2 is gonna be better IMO), otherwise get borderlands. I own borderlands, and while it cant possibly hold up to diablo in the sense of replayability and all that, what game can? IMO borderlands is about a 9. It is not perfect, as i could point out many flaws, but none of which are game ruining, rather they are hindrences that make the game fall short of being a game i could play as long as diablo II. I love the game and the shooter aspects of the game are very well done, and combat is fun. I reccomend the game if you like FPS's and Diablo

DICE?! You gotta be kidding me. If you support DICE you support EA because the bastards bought em up.

IW has sold their soul and BETRAYED the audience that made them what they are today, so gth with them.

my gosh some people hate EA so much when really they are a pretty great company, or at least can be. They are so big that they have games that suck and games that rock. That is mainly because it isn't the same studio working on it haha. Besides EA has had their hand in some of the greatest games.

    Crysis series
    Valve games
    SSX 3
    Battlefield games
mirrors edge (at least it was frsh and new)
    dantes inferno
    dragon age
    command and conquer

and so many more. I realize EA has some crappy games, but for every crappy game theres a great one aswell. And who cares, DICE and battlefield ROCK!

Hey guys, I haven't played any of these titles before, but i thought this one looked good. I was just wondering how important it is too beat the others before playing this one? I think IGN said they give a good recap on everything, but I wanted to know for sure before buying it, thanks.

seen the preview for the wii one, and as much as i resent nintendo's little console for bad graphics and shovelware games, this one LOOKS (i have no idea besides what i have seen) amazing and deff the best third party title on wii.

Dragon age wont have better graphics anyway. Better graphics sometimes ruins the game itself. Look at the diablo 2 the graphics are 2D but it is still played today.

Diablo II isn't good because the graphics are bad, its good because it's good. That will probably be the case with Dragon age as well. That doesn't mean they both couldn't benefit from the graphics boost.

I was going to post a graphics comparison between twilight princess, oblivion, and demon's souls, but i wont get off topic.

You know what? you have a point... But what I mean is that RPFPS's are a new genre; much like diablo established ARPG's way back when. My point is nobody has ever come close to bettering Diablo. At all. Except Blizzard themselves!
My only hope is that someone, whether it's gearbox or not, perfects the RPS.

But you have a good point.

I hear ya, but IMO its almost not fair because Diablo is like a 20/10 : P. I Love DII so much and have by far got more time out of that game then any other and when patch 1.13 comes out, I will play it more. That being said, that is definitely borderlands weakness is that it could have had things done to it to make it as awesome and replayable as diablo, but instead falls short of it and hits along with other titles that are awesome but not nearly as good as diablo II haha. I can't wait for DIII!

p.s. - Does anyone feel like respecs in borderlands is a good or bad thing? I know that for me, it takes out the point of making more then one version of a character.

I would love to try it.

The game has pause feature wich lets you to stop the time and make any action you want without rushing somewhere, like in icewind dale 2. But its a matter of taste - someone will say its great, others will complain that it takes the thrill out and makes it boring. But its not like you have no choice. You can pause it or not.

I think it will have also new things never seen before, graphics are great, but let's be real - they dont stand near oblivion.

I don't get why anyone thinks oblivions graphics are good. They are actually pretty terrible, along with halo 3 and source engine games. By terrible i mean on today's standards, all three are relatively dated in terms of graphics.

Not only that but the 360 version apparently has the worst visuals and according to gamespot is the worst of the 3 (8.5) while the PS3 has better visuals with some slight FPS hiccups (9) and PC winning with great everything lol (9.5). So i guess what I am saying is even if you cant run the game on high, medium will probably look as good if not better then 360, otherwise if you have a ps3 get it for that.

I actually disagree with you and think a 7/10 is pretty harsh. I myself think the game IS great and without a doubt it is fresh. Now i am not about to say the game is perfect because its not, but for the most part it does it right. How you can say the game is not fresh is beyond me. I personally do not know of any other "RPFPS" that is this good...or feels like this. many people will disagree with me, but the gameplay and feel in this game blows fallout 3 out of the water. It actually feels like a shooter and it is intense. fallout was very slow, annoying, and i always wanted to treat it like a shooter but never could as VATS was the best (and slowest most repetitive) way to play the game.

    Presentation- 9.5 / 10

Definitely a highlight for this game, the presentation is so entertaining and likable. The art style really makes the game unique and more enjoyable then if it had not been implemented.

    Audio - 8/ 10

Good but not too much is done to really set itself apart from other games. everything from music too sound effects are well executed, just not as memorable as games like Metroid.

    Graphics - 9/10

Unreal Engine 3 is beautiful but is also loosing its place as the best among today's graphics. That being said the game is rather easy to run and the art style pulls it all together into a beautiful and fresh piece with some bugs here and there.

    Gameplay - 9/10

The game does what hellgate, fallout, and others should have done (at least in my opinion). The fighting is fun, and takes skill, but certainly feels as though loot and rpg elements matter. The running, shooting, and other elements are reminiscent of battlefield and make for a great chaotic and tactical experience.

    re playability- 8.5 / 10

An awesome game that depending who you are is rather re playable and will last you many many hours. The problem is that character classes are not different enough to necessitate making many many characters (with four being the most you'd ever need to make). The areas in the game are fun, well made, and offer enough variety, but not as much as I would have liked. As to where Diablo II managed to make the progression of tile sets more enjoyable then most. When compared to normal games the re playability is among the best, but when compared to Diablo II (most re playable game every IMO) it falls short.

    Overall - 9/10

While the game has its quirks here and there and certainly isn't as re playable as games like Diablo II, it still offers a very similar feeling that any FPS and Diablo II fan will love every second of.

I'd rather have 8 bit graphics and a good story/gameplay then one of these pieces of art that you can't play worth crap. These games clog up all of the shelves in the stores, and then you get these 8 year olds who buy them and force the makers to make sequels. Halo is a perfect example of this.

I do agree there are many MANY bad Wii games, but there are many bad games on all the consoles, as well as the Computer. :/

I still fail to see your point. good graphics dont make a bad game, they actually make it better, but yeah if the game sucks graphics wont save it. And as far as sequels go...nintendo is the king of milking sequels...which honestly I generally like, because mario (no story at all and none needed), zelda (decent story but not deep at all, very cliche, and repeats itself), and metroid (best of the three for stories) are awesome games. it's kind of like saying LoZOoT was bad because it had the best graphics of the time, but in reality it was the best zelda ever made, and the graphics only helped that. I guess im just failing to see what games you are talking about is all.

As for the motion control, it has its place in gaming, but I think it can never work for all game genres, and it certainly has created some bad trends in gaming. with the wii's graphic capabilities, motion controls, and the way it is advertised, its no wonder practiclaly all the games suck (except for nintendo, who even managed to kill mario kart lol). I just hope things change in the futur and nintendo offers the best of both worlds, cause zelda is one of the best series ever.

Anyway back to topic : P.

    1) DLC that isnt really DLC but part of the game they kept hidden from you and made you pay for.

    2) collectors editions that have in game content. I paid the price for your frikkin game now give me the whole thing!
