posted a message on The future of D3

EI agree! I think they could make something in value that could last 3-5 years before making D4. Here is what I've had on my mind that past few days.

Story/Lore - Expand on the end of RoS, the Nephalem are this terrifying potential threat. Add in an extra 1-3 hours of gameplay that takes you to a new area (introducing 1-3 new classes) A Nephalem has gone on a rampage corrupted by the prime evils, it is up to you and your Nephalem allies to put him down. But in doing so releasing the prime evils into the world again. The prime evils seeing the power of the Nephalem decide to make some "Spawns" of their own. Taking about 20-30 years of hiding, leading up to D4 where the new characters could be the sons/daughters of The prime evils and starting out with the world already against because they are inherently "Evil" But they don't want to be. They want to be saviors and show the world that just because they were born partially of demonic origins they are also of Human origins. (Sounds like an interesting way to progress on into the next game to me.) Also could bring back some fan favorite classes, like the Necromancer.

    As for content.

1-3 new classes.(just examples but also seem like good possibilities)

Amazon - Str (using mostly melee and Throwing skills, ex. Spears/Javelins)

Druid - Int (using Wind/Fire magic + Summon & Shapeshifting)

???? - Dex ( I was thinking something along the lines of a bard, or something that uses daggers/throwing knives as their weapons.)

(Couldn't think of a Dex class, and the other two are mainly examples but felt they would fit in nicely)

Fix the issues with "Meta" Builds. Add 1 new set to each previous class. Increase the number of leg items and leg powers (by large amounts) giving us multiple build opportunities. Also a kanai's cube feature allowing us to extract set powers. But only being allowed to use 1 of the bonuses. You would have to extract one piece at a time and potentially double the resource cost you'd normally use for leg powers. (Just an idea I feel would make for interesting builds.) Change the drop rate to compensate with the increased loot table, lower it by an X amount. (idk the math on it and I'm too lazy for that much thought.)

Allow for smart loot to be toggled off and on. So once I have my character geared where I want I should be able to toggle smart loot so I can potentially find gear for another character or to trade.

Bring back the Auction house but don't make a Real money one. Use a combination of Gold and resources. Example I trade you 1000 Forgotten souls for a leg item. Maybe some gold. This would allow the community to set the cost of things based on their needs.

Change some end game content. I do like the idea of Rifts/GRifts. But make another type of Rifts "Ranked Rifts" the goal is not to complete it within a time limit, but just complete it. So you keep ranking it up and up and up until it becomes nearly impossible to beat. Making team work very necessary with support builds. Which with the increased loot table and leg powers will allow for me support builds besides ZDPS. I feel like this would create new experiences and make it feel like a brand new game. Potentially bringing back old players. Let me know what you think? I don't believe these are perfect ideas. but they satisfy I feel what a lot of people complain about + still keeping the core mechanics of the game around.

posted a message on New Demon Hunter set broken out of its mind?

Here are some variations I thought might work to make this set better.

2p Generators gen 1 Discipline, also Gain 1 discipline for each enemy hit by MS.

    (Possible 4p bonuses 1-3)

    4p 1.Reduce MS Cost,
    2. While at full Discipline gain dmg reduction based on half your max discipline, would work well with 2p,
    3. Increase max discipline by 30 or 60 points. would give more to spend and more dmg while at max. you could still use Natas 2p with rorg or not giving more options in the build.

Could also combine 2 and 3 make discipline increase by 30 or 60 and give dmg reduction based on half of total discipline while at max discipline.

    6p Can stay as is.
