Agreed. Why is it that so many people are unhappy with Blizzard for finally making this game?
If you don't like it, don't buy it. There's really no reason to rain on everyone else's parade.
(This forum is not as bad as others, BTW... it's impossible to find a large group of people among which no one is b1tching about it.)
More people still play WoW than the Sims i'd bet. With over 10 million current subscribers, probably about 20 million or more have bought the game. The Sims also had like 8 expansionpacks, and the SIms 2 had about 5 expansion packs. WoW has had 1 expansion.

This thread, though recently closed, has had over 2000 posts, the most of any thread here, and almost all of the comments are telling blizzard they dont like what they see, after blizzard has been working on the game for +4 years.

Beta testing should be... knowing blizzard, only a few months before release. I'd say the beta testers would be chosen by some sort of WoW:Arena contest. hahah just kidding that would suck. I believe it would only be a select few, looking at how many criticizers are on these forums here and the battle.net forums especially. I'm gonna guess only a couple hundred.

Or maybe just a regular dueling area where you can duke it out with 8 players at once (8 player per game limit) and you DON'T get your stuff stolen, maybe just a bit of gold. like 5% or 10%. Otherwise if there wasn't a separate area, while in a boss group, some bastard could just make you hostile, and kill you so you don't get to loot the boss. or some guy while you're trying to kill multiple enemies accidentally has you set to hostile, throws a firebomb in, and nukes you. etc. etc. many terrible things could happen if there wasn't a separate area.
So all in all, separate area for dueling +1.
and again, players stealing your gear -1.
Its basically the same thing... only catch is, in Diablo II if you didn't clear the way, which would be the sort of thing to get you killed.. then you would have a tough time getting back to your body (in hell mode)
Whereas in WoW you're basically invisible to everything and you cant see any monsters until you get towards your body.
I think it's basically the same concept... but Diablo II is a little harder.
I think we'll still see the same style, but if you're acctually playing the game the way it's meant to be played, there's almost no difference but graphics. (WoW=Ghostworld, D2=Normal World with no gear)

With the amount of stuff the game will need to process, you would need a computer with components that don't come out for another 5 or 10 years. Also Crysis and COD4 are first person shooters, which is a different type of game completely.
I agree wholeheartedly. There's nothing wrong with the game so far even if it has some aspects from WoW, it doesn't matter. If it matters so much to you guys you don't have to worry about it, you can play Diablo I and II while the people who don't care about WoW will be playing Diablo III.
