it is a neat and interesting idea but it is too ahead, maybe starting out as a palading then when you reach like level 30 you can choose if you wanna be a Dark Paladin or a holy on (err cant come up with a name) same with all the classes, (each of the 2 offers different skills, advantages and abilities

Too much like the paladin/dark paladin from baldurs gate 2...or was it NWN. Or both.

Look nobody think D3 won't sold amazing numbers in short time.
But will it pass the trail of time(will it sell good as D2 after 8 years)? Will it be above the other D2 clones out there? Will it get goty or some good praises out of pure justice (note: oblivion which got so good score cause of the company)

This is Yet unknown, I hope for the best.

**)If it has in the options some V mark that you push and all settings change, 1)gothic 2)more colorful
I believe both sides will be more happy.

English, motherfucker. Do you speak it?

I think the balance and unit ideas is what they are struggling with in SC2.

You are right. This game is diverting attention away, but that only means that both games have problems.

Any problems with D3 are reasonbly easy to fix though. At worst, they could release a D2 clone with modern graphics and we would all love it. SC2 is so much harder to get right.

I can assure you, Blizzard do what Vivendi tells them to do, and when to do it. The company is a little stretched isn't it? Trying to maintain and expand WoW, develop SC2 and D3 at the same time, as well as their next gen MMO which is a new franchise. Why would any company put that much pressure on themselves? SC2 and D3 = more than 20 million guaranteed sales between them, i'm sure Vivendi had nothing to say whatsoever about their concurrent development. Anyway it is all good for us, the gamers. Except we have to wait years and years for any of the games because the dev teams are so small. If Blizzard were left to their own devices, i really doubt they would have developed the core of SC2 and D3 at the same time.

One thing that D3 has done is take alot of the focus off of SC2, which i'm sure Blizzard are thankful for because that game is seriously treading water.

I can assure you there are no links between those facts.

I believe you. Why would a French corporation make a major product announcement in France?

Paris has the largest index of diablo fans in the world. That was the sole reason for what they did.

    Are you sure?

Blizzard is owned by a French corporation, you know.

Blizzard will have to either remove or heavily rework any class that relies on bugs or broken skills to survive, and the same goes for classes that have a painfully slow kill rate in hell. So...

    Pally - Later.

    Druid - Later.

    Assassin - Later.

    Necro - Complete reworking.

posted a message on Pay to Play D3?
I'd pay a monthly fee for complete access to battlenet, including D3 and SC2, as long as D3 is kept relatively clean of hacks and dupes. If it isn't, what is the point of paying.

posted a message on Classes and Skills - Please keep all KNOWN skills and classes discussion here
The FAQ may say 5 chars, but in at least 2 different interviews/statements blizz have said 7, and "as many as we can". There will be 6 or 7 obviously. My bet is 6, expanded to 8 later on.

-barb. In the video he had charge, which probably means the (pure) pally is out.

-witch doctor. I don't know why people see this as a necro replacement. Look at it, it is a pure druid with a different name and clearer focus. His summons were like summon wolf. He has fire. Poison/disease. These are all _straight_ from the druid. He will probably shapeshift.

-necro. There are too many crazy skill and story possibilities for the necro not to be in, and the character class has too much of a back story and involvement not to be iin the game. What,no golems or bone magic skills in D3? Please. He will be there,100%. The necro might even get auras. Imagine that, a necro with shadowy, evil auras, instead of curses. Cursers fit the witch-doctor better, and auras fits the necro perfectly. Whats the first thing you think of when you see an evil necro in any fantasy game?....This guy has an evil aura of power about him....

-pure caster. We all know there will be an arch-mage type. The question is, what types of magic are there in d3? We know there are fire, light and cold. Blizzard will surely add more.

-bows n stuff. We all know there will be a ranger of some sort. I agree with the posters that say the assassin will or should be merged with a ranger, it makes sense and leaves a slot open for a completely new class.

-dark magic. A pure caster, but not elementalist? Uses demonic magic and necro style pure magic? I think there is a strong chance of this, the whole elementalist thing is getting a bit boring, but still needs to be there for the purists. Think death magic from D&D,a pure caster along those lines would fit pretty nicely into the gothic Diablo world. Even if he has to steal some thunder from the necro, there is plenty of room to expand the necros skill set.

I don't think there will be a pally. There may be a crusader type which heals and tanks...but i doubt it. the pally skills that are worth anything easily transfer and fit in with the barb and the necro. I don't think Blizzard will go down the "jack of all trades" path again, which is why the druid, pally and assy will go. More focused classes with more skills to choose from is the way :)
